she : this video is just for people who never played the flute me who play the flute for almost 3 years : *lets* *learn* I can't skip one of her videos 😍♥
I’m curious, do you know how to make that weird squiggly sound noise? Idk what it’s called I’m a beginner band student at a high school and I’m curious how to make it cause my band director can do it. And all other flutes can.
My 11yo son was handed a flute for band with zero experience, and no idea what notes he's supposed to be practicing. After 10 minutes, ALMOST got him to Mary Had a Little Lamb. Still struggling with G. You've earned a subscribe here! Thank you so much!
Received my flute from Amazon today. It took me 5 minutes trying to figure out how to put three sections together. Then I thought I would need help when I stared at all these unknown buttons. Then I find this tutorial. What a lucky day. 😁😁😁
Girl! You saved my day!!! I need to learn the basics of flute for an assignment and my C was sounding sharp. I thought it was my embouchure but nothing was working. When you said that we can move the mouth piece to tune it I was so happy. Now I can play properly. Wish you success in you channel, music and life.
You should continue making this type of videos like maybe showing us different techniques and styles of playing and maybe teach us a simple beginner level piece. Also when exactly do you use those mini plugs for your flute holes?
Sorin chan they’re good ideas! I never use the plugs anymore :p they’re for transitioning into open hole flutes, in the beginning I used them when I was getting used to open hole :)
@@Flutecookies 😆 Anyway, I love you and your channel. Keep doing you!❤ P.S: Can you please do a cover of the theme song of a game called "Ib"? It's name is "Memory". Would love to hear it on a flute
your awesome. this is my 4th year playing sax and i wanted to try something new, and thanks to you i got mary had a little lamb and hot cross buns down in like 10-15 minutes. pleaseeeeee post more of these!
Thank you for the tutorial! I have been struggling with my flute, not being able to make a good sound, not remembering all the keys and notes. Thank you for helping me! I can finally come to flute class and show my teacher my notes
I’ll definitely follow you as a way to learn. I ordered a Yamaha 212 to learn as a way to honor my mother. She died last October. Also I really love the sound of flutes they have so great sound range ^^
Nicely done. Quite similar to my first flute lesson way back in 1968.... :) The one thing I would do differently is a bit more explanation of where you hold the parts as you assemble and disassemble the flute. It should be emphasized that the reason for NOT gripping the flute anywhere on the keys is that the twisting motions when either putting it together or taking it apart can damage the keywork and push it out of alignment so that the keys will not close properly.
I just tried out for school band, and when I tried the flue I got a sound the first try! I was a natural. I loved how it didn't vibrate on your lips like the trumpet or clarinet.
The way I see the pieces of the flute: The Head Joint = The Head Joint The one with the keys = The Body And the end of the flute = The Foot Joint Who gets this reference (and yes, I thought of it like this too)? This is good for my, I want to play the flute, it's an interesting woodwind Instrument, and one of the hardest since it doesn't have a mouth piece like a recorder, or a reed. And because I already play the violin, I have a slight advantage as far as hold Instruments in uncomfortable positions and reading the treble clef. Edit: I'm subscribed because this is a channel with potential. I don't have a flute. And I don't want to go to Amazon, eBay, Walmart, or Ali Express to get a cheap one that will just break in like a month or 2.
I bought a flute about 3 years ago, but I had braces at the time, and it was beyond difficult. I recently remembered I had one and thought I'd give it another go, I can finally make a sound with it, just trying to memorise the notes. I play the piano, guitar, and violin. The flute is definitely harder than all of them combined. But it's fun. However, my flute is clearly out of tune, so I'll figure out how to fix that eventually
Perfect combo honestly I played flute for a year in highschool but couldn't really make sound for the entirety of my stay I think I left the class early or something cause I barely remember it. Been playing violin ten years now though so I'm pretty proficient with that. Thinking about getting into flute again cause I dug my grandma's old flute outta the closet, I'm able to make some sounds out of it which is more then before to it's kinda motivating me to at least learn one fricken song
Thank you for this! I'm here cause I'm in a band class, going to school in person but I also wana practice at home. I'll be practicing with your videos! 💜💜
This video is sooo helpful! Thank you so much. I was feeling discouraged about my flute practice but I think you're soo cool so your videos give me so much motivation. Please never stop making flute videos! Also, I am in love with your accent!!!
Flutecookies more flute lessons. You're really really good at it! 😊 and tips on how to play anime music. 😁😁 i really want to play some of your covers. Just for fun. Haha! I think japanese songs have very good tunes but sounds very challenging.
(Only people with a flute can read this) I got my flute yesterday and before I watched this video I sounded like a cat trying to hack out a hairball but now my grandma says that i sound really good This video is really helpful.
I'm learning the flute now. Just started lesson 1. And blowing sounds out of the flute is just so hard. sometimes there's sound, sometimes there no sound... guess have to be patient and just keep practising...
Hello! I am brand new to playing the flute - teaching myself watching your tutorials! When transitioning from B to C - lifting my left thumb - I notice I am pressing the flute to my chin with my left index finger and my right hand pinky and thumb stabilizing - keeping the flute staight. Is this correct or am I starting a bad habit?
WOW! Finally! I found this video :D I was actually looking for this one, I'm glad that you made this :D I really want to play flute since when I was 10 years old but I don't know how to do it XD I asked my parents before (when I was 10 years old) to buy me a flute similar to Cedi (the boy on the anime: The little prince Cedi) but they couldn't buy me that flute to no avail because they have no enough money to buy me one and they don't know where they could buy one for me, they instead buy me a bamboo flute which is still alive up to now (I mean I still have that flute till today) but unfortunately I don't know how to play it properly 😅😅😅 , and I don't know if is it still working or do I need to look for a person who could fix it (in case that it already need to be fix) Even now, I still hope that I could one day play a flute similar to Cedi properly..... but that hope is still have no assurance for me because I can't afford to buy a metalic flute (similar to yours).... and my problem about it becomes more heavy due to quarantine XD Thank you for the above video!!! :) 💟 Have a great weekend. Blessed be :) PS: I love your flute covers of Kanashimi wo yasashisa ni and other Naruto OST like sadness and sorrow. PPS: sorry, I'm not really good in English 😅😂
Well, I've mastered unintentionally consistently playing the 'G' an octave above pitch 🙄 Man, coming from piano i tease brass and wind musicians abiut the payoff; on piano I play 10 keys & get 10 notes, on the flute no matter how many keys i only get one note. 😅 But, this is my first time EVER touching a flute (cheap thrift store find for $25... plus bleach) & the mechanics of the instrument are so inspiring. I may never play professionally, but I'll definitely keep at it.
Hello Flute Players of the World I have a Mendini brand Flute. I am not expert but for some reason I don’t feel it’s making the right sound. I am looking at the Pearl Student Model 200.
