@@teargasjazz9003 You're welcome my friend, you've been a great inspiration to me in creating and playing kaizo levels, and I really admire all the work and levels you do!! ^^
Great video TearGas :D You're not a kaizo noob though :( I find 19 super important tbh, it just looks so distracting, ugly and these P-Blocks are in 99% of the cases unnecessary as hell. And I don't understand adding those in more advanced levels either because most people either watch a clear vid or know what they are doing anyways. This video format is super useful for beginners imo so keep the great content up (if you want of course😅)
The amount of things you said, "yeah thats fine" to that erk me to no end when i see them in levels makes me realize im probably too picky a player lol. Awesome to see a compilation like this, woulda been amazing to have had something like this back in 2016. But i will die on the hill that solid block ceilings are categorically better than kaizo block ceilings, and that starting a level with a pipe transition still sucks even when its a vertical level.
Thanks, Salt Lake! Yeah, that’s why I made this video. I could have avoided a lot of mistakes if I had seen a video like this back in the smm1 days. Agree that pipe transitions at the start of the level is annoying no matter what
2:22 The thing about this one is if the player does a shell jump, they can jump over the munchers and skip the drop shell jump. This was something I did and my level got cheesed a lot by it.
Yeah, you have to add enough spikes or munchers so they can't make the jump. With that said - a drop is just as easy as a shell jump imo, so it doesn't bother me that much. But you're right
Thanks, Zachary! I've made a lot of levels, and I don't remember them all. Try Screaming for Vengeance, Dazed and Confused, Fungal Waste, Pit of Hollows, Rime of the Ancient Mariner and Lotus Eater. Those are quite "easy"
@@qwertzilla7217 It's all up to the maker and their taste. I do find it hard to read some levels with a lot of stuff happening in the background though. Do whatever you want :D
I'm not a fan of clear conditions to be honest. They serve little to no use most of the times. Especially the "Leave the ground", because you can usually just use spikes or munchers. Sure, there are some really cool levels with that condition that wouldn't work without it, but I often see levels that use it as a anti cheese tool. In my opinion there are better ways to do it. Everything I'm saying is just my own opinions, and everyone is free to to whatever they want. All I'm saying is that I don't like unnecessary transitions, conditions or waiting segments. Hope it answers your question :)
Can’t agree more with #19. Too much backgrounds make the level such harder to read. It may look good, sure, but the level is less fun cause you can’t see. Probably the most common « mistake » among makers currently.
I don’t play much smm2 anymore but this was still a really entertaining video. I agree with all of these
Thank you, espoir!
I unsubscribed because you called toad a mean moldy mushroom and then Rick rolled me
Sorry not sorry 😬
Lmao
This is a great guide! It helped me with my most recent Kaizo levels!
Glad to hear, Boygamer :D
Yes!! You're back, and with this great video to improve the creation in Kaizos! I am very happy to see you here again, greetings! ^^
Thanks! And I'm very happy that you're watching :D Thanks for the support

This video is amazing! Now I'm finally gonna make good levels :) You are (one of) the best!

Thanks, Leo. Really appreciate it.
I agree. It just gets tough on the eyes and you can barely see what you’re doing

I really like your YT channel! and im also sweden. thanks for the kaizo tips i,ve gotten from your vids (;

How do I make my kaizo levels more smooth like a speedrun
I don't really have any experience with that kind of level, but testing is important. Also make sure to let the player see what's coming
Video helped alot, great content!
Happy to hear that!
Great video my friend! I'm guilty of 10 & 13... 😬
Thanks 😃 I’m probably guilty to all except 20 😉
Video becomes black and you cant see anythinf after the intro
Edit: i apologize youtube was just glitched for me
in a nutshell: get rid of the annoying parts in your level
Damn it, why didn’t I just say that and spares you all 10 minutes of filler 😅
Great video!
Thanks, bud 😃
Bold of you to assume I can even do simple kaizo
:D
Love your channel! Do you have any levels or level recommendations similar in difficulty to your Walking in sunshine level? Thanks

I played this game for 1000 hours and I had all of this knowledge by making and playing the game lol, great entertaining video by the way.
Why am I watching this I rusted so bad on Mario maker that I forgot how to do a simple shell jump. I’ll just stick to making parkour levels 💀
9:34 still not enough deco
LUL
I actually decorate it a lot more than thst in my levels

What about dev exits/shrooms/stars/vines?
@@Mitjitsu That goes without saying in my opinion
Excelent video 👏🏽
Thanks, AntCelis 😃
good job noob!!!! i'll continue to put nothing but invisible kaizo blocks, spikes and munchers everywhere and random falling fish for the lulz
That's the spirit, kiddo
thx for sharing this great video, amazing, thx for help 🎖🎖👍👌
Thank you for your kind words :)
Is there a reason to not use Toad? Or do you just hate him :(
Toad is an abomination 😉 Luigi gang all the way!
was 20th one a joke or actually don't use Toad
I agree with 19 of these
I’m not surprised 😏
I want to see a level that breaks at least one of these rules and manages to be good
Does it show that I made this comment 1 second in
Damn it, I main toad :( cool vid!
One could always change. You're welcome to join the Luigi gang ;) Thanks!
great face reveal
Thanks 😃
