Where we had lunch would not take cash, and I won't use my debit card because those cards are tied directly to my bank account. Sorry, no credit card, no lunch. Dave is 100% right but I can’t get rid of my CC, not with travel abroad. You get money back quicker with CC than most banks. I use debit 90% of the time though and know CCs are dangerous.
Same. I’m a world traveler and need a credit card with no foreign transaction fees. Also in the unlikely event I get robbed, I don’t carry my bank card on me.
I cannot believe that debit cards offer the same level of security on purchases as credit cards if something goes wrong. I've never heard anyone say that before! Great to know.
The two primary federal laws covering procedures after card theft or loss are the Fair Credit Billing Act and the Electronic Fund Transfer Act. Under the Fair Credit Billing Act, your liability for unauthorized charges depends on whether the thief personally presented your card to make the purchase or just stole the number. If the thief personally presents your card to make the purchase, the card issuer can't hold you liable for more than $50 in fraudulent charges. (12 C.F.R. § 1026.12). Many card issuers waive this $50. You have no liability if the thief stole the number but not the card. With ATM or debit cards, you must act quickly to avoid full liability for unauthorized charges when your card is lost or stolen. Under the federal Electronic Fund Transfer Act, your liability is: $0 if you report the loss or theft of the card immediately and before any unauthorized charges are made. up to $50 if you notify the bank within two business days after you realize the card is missing up to $500 if you fail to notify the bank within two business days after you realize the card is missing, but do notify the bank within 60 days after your bank statement is mailed to you listing the unauthorized withdrawals, or unlimited if you fail to notify the bank within 60 days after your bank statement is mailed to you listing the unauthorized withdrawals. (15 U.S. Code § 1693g).
Can't deny the fact that *Dale Valskov* is the strongest bet to bring power back to this industry after we suffered FTX, Celsius, Tera and so on. Sure if they fail it's done for good, but I don't see that the biggest tech company in the world would put everything at risk just for that.
I use a credit card... But only to have a credit score... Its easier to get a home loan... I waited 6 months for underwriting to say we need 1yr with your job to continue... Am a truck driver so leaving a job is a must sometimes
As much as Dave says the credit card companies are handing out credit. I still haven’t gotten the raise because I already suck at dealing with money and they sure don’t want me anymore.
I will be forever grateful to you, you changed my entire life and I will continue to preach on your behalf for the whole world to hear you saved me from huge financial debt with just a small investment, thank you *Dale Valskov*
Your not protected under section 75 if you use cash or a debit card for many purchases. Also carrying large amounts of Cash is not practical and risky. Use a credit card and pay it off full end of month simple. Dave is right about not using a credit cards but in practice people are restricted without carrying one. Also as long as you don't carry a balance and understand hoe cards work, there is no issue. Discipline yourself and pay it off without interest. I have been doing for over 10 Years never paid a penny in interest. Also I know that you spend more with a credit card than cash, but in mycase I know that anyway, so I don't spend over my intention.
Actually Wells Fargo is losing that amount bc ppl ARE paying back their balances and that equates to what they have to pay out in points and other “perks”. I agree with 95% of what Dave says EXCEPT for the lack of CC use. There are a lot of responsible ppl who will buy and pay off every month and yes I know its a mental thing but I rather get a tiny perk out of my purchase rather than nothing. Self control is strong!
Credit and debit may have the same protection features but the bank will not go to bat for you over dubious charges like the credit card company will. Hard facts, speaking from experience. Be disciplined. Use your credit card, pay balance in full.

Got rid of all the debt two years ago. Have zero debt. I now also no longer have a credit score. Fought tooth and nail, but managed to buy the last car cash. Can't get them to take card folks, so be ready to wire it, cashier's check it, or walk on the wild side and have the hundreds in your pocket. Land is paid for. We're cash-flowing the house build and doing it ourselves, but got it done enough to comfortably live in xD. No debt. Can I tell you how well I sleep at night? The only thing that keeps me up is the coyotes! Lady at the store the other day asked if I wanted to save 15% on my purchase by applying for a store card. "Nope! I'm debt free, honey! I don't *have* a credit score anymore and I ain't going back!"
@@Aznmfodd, looks like my reply disappeared. Anyway, property tax is a bill, just like your phone bill or insurance, not a debt. Debt is owing money on a loan of some variety. The government didn’t loan me money to buy my property, but they do tax me for it every year. Not much thankfully.
Great for you. I am genuinely and sincerely happy for you. And if all people were you, then Americans would not be drowning in consumer debt. But they are not you, hence, why Dave's program is so important and why credit cards should be rejected. But again you are the Golden Boy and I am sincerely happy for you and your wife.
Dave is right but he doesn’t address why there is a misconception about debit cards. If the transaction is not processed on the Visa or MasterCard network (i.e. it’s a direct debit transaction), it doesn’t have the credit card protections. If asked “Debit or credit?” with your debit card, always say “Credit.” Not everyone knows.
Dave Ramsey wants to trash on the BILT card but the reason Wells Fargo is loosing money is because people are using it responsibly and not running a balance on it. Dave doesn’t want you to know that.
Dave is purposely keeping people poor. How do you build wealth working a 9-5? He says your income is the biggest tool. It's a joke. You make millions because you risk millions. No wealthy person did it by being debt free.
@@AznmfHere we go again. Everything you say is bunk. Americans are drowning in debt because of bad spending habits, irresponsibility, lack of discipline, etc. But you are one of the Golden boys. I see people for who they are and I don't give a dangerous instrument to someone who isn't capable of handling it. Like it or not, you're wrong and I'm right because Americans are drowning in consumer debt and it's not simply due to a tough economy. It's because they are incapable of handling debt!
Seriously, you would think he would be happy that people are being responsible with paying their cards on time but that goes against his whole agenda, also the BILT card is amazing
My credit card is used for Netflix, HBO Max, Spotify, and OCASIONALLY a fast food purchase and OCCASIONALLY as fast station stop. Doesn’t get used for anything else
Dave is being a little disingenuous about the Wells Fargo story. The reason WF isn't making money is that their customers are overwhelmingly charging their rent for the credit card points, and then paying the balance in full and paying no interest.
If credit cards make you wealth, he's all for it. Your debt to income ratio of 0.25 to 1. If it takes 25k a year of debt to make 200k a year profit, then you have a 175k a year net revenue because 25k made you 175k. It's all relative. Dave uses debt to make his millions.

When I have healthy financial conversations with people and I tell them that I cut up my credit card, they look at me like ive been teaching the Pythagorean theorem.
That's because Americans have been conditioned to believe in credit cards. My take is that if credit cards were so great and tens of millions have them, then Americans would be thriving. But they are not. In fact, Americans are failing and drowning in consumer debt!
@@GAFB1122 exactly, a lot of rewiring has to happy in the minds of America and only then will we understand collectively that debt is bad. Also we need to stop acting like toddlers, “I want it now” aka credit cards are destroying our pockets.

The funniest is always how they don’t need the card but just want the points yet they’ve been carrying a balance for years and can’t even explain what exact bonuses and points they are getting/using 💀 it’s just a catch phrase at this point
I feel like the comment section devolves into, look at how great and responsible I am with using debt and credit cards. I'm taking this trip and that trip on my CC points. I am genuinely and sincerely happy for all of you who fit this category. And if all people were you, then there wouldn't be so many people drowning in consumer debt, and Dave wouldn't have a program. But hey, I'll say again, I am sincerely happy for the responsible people who use credit cards and debt responsibly. Just don't fool yourself into thinking most are like you! And I personally would not encourage an irresponsible person having access to such a potentially dangerous debt instrument.
The only thing keeping our economy afloat is rampant consumerism. If people stopped spending money they didn't have, the whole thing would come to a screeching halt. What then?
Then let it. It is not good for a country or a person to live beyond their means. Furthermore what you describe is rampant greed and there is nothing to be proud of with being greedy.

Under the federal Electronic Fund Transfer Act, your liability is:
$0 if you report the loss or theft of the card immediately and before any unauthorized charges are made.
up to $50 if you notify the bank within two business days after you realize the card is missing
up to $500 if you fail to notify the bank within two business days after you realize the card is missing, but do notify the bank within 60 days after your bank statement is mailed to you listing the unauthorized withdrawals, or
unlimited if you fail to notify the bank within 60 days after your bank statement is mailed to you listing the unauthorized withdrawals.
My Chase debit card doesn't come with exchange fees. So, I use it when I travel to other countries.
"everyone is collecting airline miles" I'm collecting cash-back from every purchase I have to make anyway.
And all the ones you wouldn't have made if you were just using your own money.
And they're tracking every purchase you make and you pay them every time you swipe that puppy. They have you and you don't even know it.
That cash back on the purchases dont make up for the 19-21% they charge you for borrowing
Dave didn’t read the fine print on why Wells Fargo is losing money…
No real shortcuts, it’s tough but worth it !
Did Dave just drop the B-word at 8:46?! 😂 he sure did!!! Lol
I will be forever grateful to you, you changed my entire life and I will continue to preach on your behalf for the whole world to hear you saved me from huge financial debt with just a small investment, thank you *Dale Valskov*
Might wanna get on the *Dale Valskov* train, the proprietary nature of it deters me as a crypto enthusiast but also interests me as an investor
Great video. I only have one credit card and I use it once every three months and I pay it right back in full the next day
What's the point of that?
Credit and debit may have the same protection features but the bank will not go to bat for you over dubious charges like the credit card company will. Hard facts, speaking from experience. Be disciplined. Use your credit card, pay balance in full.
The credit card companies just laugh and hang up. No different to the bank's response.
@@amireallythatgrumpy6508 Funny because Ive had to deal with two dubious charges on my Mastercard over the years, called the company, they automatically reversed the charges and told me it was now a legal process between them and the merchant and the merchant had one month to prove they sent me merchandise and I received it. My bank will not do the same, has horrible customer service and will nickle and dime me any opportunity they get. Hard facts. And I would never travel using my debit card. Thats advice a very wealthy person who can afford to loose some money gives.

@@Aznmf that’s a bill honey. Debt may go away, but bills don’t.
Dave those thick titanium cards make me feel cool
Never carry a balance on my cc and my wife and I are heading to Italy on points. 😅😅😅😅
You can use a credit card responsibly and make the most of what it offers. Needs discipline and financial literacy.
Who is Dale Valskov ?
Some scammer.
I have a co worker who pays her mortgage with her credit card because of airlines miles. I did not know you can pay do this.
0DEBT Tennessee license plate pulls up a 2018 Aston Martin DB11 for those curious
Where does Dave get all of those credit cards to chop up all the time? Do people donate them or something? lol
I was just wondering that too
Me with no debt watching this: 🤔
Dave Ramsey wants to trash on the BILT card but the reason Wells Fargo is loosing money is because people are using it responsibly and not running a balance on it.
He uses fear to control his followers.
@@Aznmf Only an idiot would actually want to be "wealthy".
Use it for everything and pay the balance in full. Spend responsibly and have discipline.
Yes Canada- that’s not so much of a thing.
Hey Dave: Thanks for the tip on marketing here in America. Ever visit Japan?
Just to be clear i London we do not take dollars......love you tho Dave 😘
Dave is being a little disingenuous about the Wells Fargo story. The reason WF isn't making money is that their customers are overwhelmingly charging their rent for the credit card points, and then paying the balance in full and paying no interest.
I use credit cards but I budget. No difference. I earn rewards for spending what I was already planning.
LMAO!!
@@freedomring3022 i do the same.
Exactly. Not rocket science.
Dave how do you feel about credit cards?
If credit cards make you wealth, he's all for it.
Your debt to income ratio of 0.25 to 1. If it takes 25k a year of debt to make 200k a year profit, then you have a 175k a year net revenue because 25k made you 175k. It's all relative. Dave uses debt to make his millions.
Where does Dave get all those cards he's cutting in half?
Offers in the mail? When I went through FPU, they asked us to count how many offers we got while we were taking the course. I don’t remember the number, but it was really high. Like at least one offer a week.
People that have paid them off and closed the accounts.
Hey Dave, don't tell people to get plastic surgery, they're overdoing it already! 😂😂😂
Like the Ramsey said work 2 jobs to get out debt . Theirs no secret besides work , live under your mean .
What if you consolidate?
I will never get a debit card- my sister spent weeks arguing with her bank over charges she didn't make. Credit cards- 1 call & they take care of it.
What cards does Dave keep chopping if no one at Ramsey has any credit cards?
Dave should have a license plate that says, It’s Paid For! 😁👍🏽
As a person and professional you couldn't get any better than *Dale Valskov* he is a very reliable person and an excellent professional in the IT field. He is the type of person you want to work that's passionate, hardworking and knowledgeable. You’re The Best 100%
Dave makes stuff up
I shouldn’t be laughing this hard at Dave’s comment about your dead pets receiving credit cards..😂😭😭
Those are nice pair of scissors
1:54 ...including the Every Dollar App
Only use debit cards when possible.
6:21 I love those plastic surgery scissors. Where do I get them?
I like to imagine Dave carries the scissors and empty credit cards with him at all times
I'm literally overwhelmed, You are a blessing to the world. I can't thank you enough *Dale Valskov* for helping me with my account recovery. My prayers will always be with you and your team. Keep it up guys. Love from Maldives. There are many people out there I pray everybody get help.
I paid off and canceled my cards a few years ago.
John mustve been down baaad😭
I’d rather use my credit card because if someone does steal money, it’s stealing the credit card companies money & not mine out of my bank.
Note, I always pay off my credit card in full as I cannot bare to pay any interest 😂
Epic rant
Now is the perfect time to start buying stocks and crypto( BTC, ETH,) if you are just being introduced.. I really wish I started earlier. I'm learning this doesn't have to be as complicated as some people make it out to be. Thanks to *Dale Valskov* for helping me get into its trading server and investing guidelines. Investing and trading are more than just having TA skills. There is a big component of discipline and emotional maturity, that one has to work on! Time in the market vs. timing the market. If you keep that mentality as an investor, you will stay calm during the storm! Within some months I was making a lot more money and have continued on that same path with.
People who love credit cards act like they are addicted to crack ... ""but but but but my points, my airline miles, my cash back bonuses!"
yea, but my $40k in cash back per year
The funniest is always how they don’t need the card but just want the points yet they’ve been carrying a balance for years and can’t even explain what exact bonuses and points they are getting/using 💀 it’s just a catch phrase at this point
@@rachelesmith3342 But that ole' "free " toaster is worth all of that!

There is a reason the Job “INFLUENCER” is now an actual career. How to separate you from you money is a better description….
Having a proper emergency fund is the only way I can live without eventually using credit cards.
That's not what Wells Fargo product is.
