I have seen people filling carts with art pieces and map of the house to put on every wall. No wonder people are broke. We bought a house and we made a promise to not go crazy. For first year our 2nd floor was empty, walls were empty, for 6 months we didn’t have a dining table. I'd kill my credit with a bankruptcy before sacrificing everything for years just to pay the interest rates on those cards, I mean at this point your credit score can't get worse anyways. Credit card companies take advantage of people to trick them into debt, stick it back to them, then don't fall for the credit card BS again.
Why didn’t he ask how much her house is worth? Maybe she could wipe this out by selling her house with how much markets have skyrocketed. I’m sure someone from CA would buy her house sight unseen
Who is in her corner to correct this bad behavior at 10k, 20k, even 30k in debt?
“Test pilot for a broom factory” 😂 I need to use that one
“You the only one in America that have a phone number in the system that works everyone else doesn’t” CLASSIC
I would cry! I once met this pharmaceutical executive guy and he had all this stuff!!! And we were in his garage and he just told me man I was tired of not having anything lol!!!
All debt is a JUNK DEBT!
Nope
except for a mortgage at 2.875%
@@xxxBradTxxx I got 2.65% lol
I felt like the every dollar budget was too generic, too. I use an Excel spreadsheet.
Same here!!
I swear, some of these people sound like they just want to call in and talk and any advice Dave gives them just kind of lingers in the air and then they keep on talking..
Actually the Debt Negotiation Game Show would be one heck of a fun show 😂😂😂
I got my interest rate lowered but paid them in full...got one more left.1500...working on it.
Bought a house with $70k CC debt? How did she get a mortgage?
Sounds like she bought it then needed repairs
Don't do bankruptcy. That is a cop out. You spent it. You own it.
70K isnt that much compared to some I've heard. At least she's doing something about it. I heard a guy once talk about something else, Dave asked how much CC debt he had - he answered very casually like he didn't care - 175k.
who cares if it's not as much as some other people she still has 70 freaking thousand dollars on cc debt. That's so much money
I think if people run up debt then they should be held accountable for that debt. They made it happen.
Nah. Just settle with the companies
It is one thing to settle, but Dave kind of celebrates it sometimes. She did borrow the money. Not paying it back is theft. We all pay for it.
You don’t know if people actually need money for emergencies. Not everyone makes 200,000k a month. Chill out.
Yeah let’s bring back debtors prison 🙄 get off your high horse
I agree. My mom told me to file a proposal. I refuse. I ran it up, I'll pay it off
She's doing well, but she keeps rambling on and on.
How do these people even get a $70k line of credit?
🎶🎶I got 2000 dollars!🎶🎶🤣🤣🤣I freaking love Dave.
Paid off all of our cards. I keep playing that song by Fleetwood Mac. "Been down one time, 🎶been down two times🎶, never going back again 😊
Don't forget that they report that write down to the IRS and you have to pay taxes on it
Report what?
@@beastfromtheeast9318 if you owe $15000 on a credit card and you settle for $2000. The credit card reports the $13000 they lost to the IRS and you owe taxes on it.
@@rebelrrp ahh gotcha.
Not if you are technically insolvent.
YNAB got a free plug on Dave Ramsey Show haha!!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
With no endorsement 😂
you can see on his face uncle Dave hated it 😂 😂
ynab is way better than everydollar.
How... like really How🤯🤯🤯... anyway you came to the right place to solve that financial nuke.
You’re a spammer too aren’t you.
Found Sir Dave, and im goin all in to payoff my debt this Christmas Bonus . thank you
She found a budgeting software that works for her? Let me tell her it sucks and to switch completely. Hope it sticks and that she doesn't lose the progress or drive she developed!
2:25 they definitely paid her to call and say this 😂
Go ahead and slam the phone down 🤣
“Test pilot for a broom factory” 😆😆
Disagree with Dave's laughing at not paying the credit card companies and making them dance for your money. By using the card you made a promise to repay and if you don't shame on you. No laughing matter.
I've no sympathy for credit card companies. We're OK with them ripping off consumers, but not OK if a consumer rips them off?
If you can't afford it, you need to take care of yourself before taking care of the banks.
@@996rick if they rip u off
Call the law
I agree with Ramsey on most things, but lets not encourage people to rack up debt and then do these dirty tactics.
"Biblical principles"
I have 1 800$ credit card which I use to pay my sons childcare 200$ a week get my cash back and it off at the end of the month. I don’t need more than that! How do you even get approved for this much ?
She can do this. Don't let collections scare you! The banks don't even give that much interest yet are so happy to charge you. Should be illegal.
Yes do it yourself!
Sell some of the stuff you bought with credit cards and pay it on your credit cards
Good advice; however, for some they pay medical bills with credit cards.
It's usually eating out.
Oh Wow.. She makes $78,000 and is in all that credit debt ... WhooWeee.... Hopefully once she cleans it up she keeps it that way.
I need to get financial advise. I owe $2,240 in card debt.🤣🤣. It's scary hearing these stories.
Same. Late payments are just paying the interest 🙄...I'm so tired and pregnant. And working 55 hours a week and have a toddler 🙃 and have to find a CAR. Prayers appreciated 👏🏾.
Dont give up. Put your hopes and trust that Jehovah will open doors.@@coopernecole7962
Number, if you buy a house get a home inspection done. Why would you stop paying you bills??
I wish Dave would’ve said “as the interest rate went from 0 to 100 real quick” lol
That ain't nothing, I had 161k in 2007 thanks to my ex-wife. Did I mention she's an ex now? It can be done, but it takes a lot of work and some time.
161??? In CC debt??? Bruh
@@writingonthewall3326 That is why you never get married.
@@wewhoareabouttodiesaluteyo9303 my wife is a champ... But i get your point fer sure
I just need to pay off my house by 3031 and student loans. Thank you Dave and crew!
your payments must be tiny, where do I get one of these 1010 year loans?
