Kids are great, and yes, I can see having one that you might not have expected. However, if the household income isn’t increasing, it’s time to put that on hold. The wife could be working sooner if there was just one who is daycare or school age. Continuing to have little ones delays her ability to work outside the home.

I know right? My wife and I were married for ten years built several businesses, built a large savings and investment account and then said “hey let’s have a kid.” Four kids at 27 means you started pumping them out at what 22ish assuming you gave the old lady atleast a month rest before you climbed aboard again.

Tom Smith, no it won’t, but it would eliminate all the other debt, plus at least temporarily stop the garnishment, so it might at least help with cash flow.
But, with the number of kids he has vs his income, he MIGHT be able to get it discharged on the basis that he’s technically at the poverty level.

Everyone I talk to that don’t have a direction in what they want to do, I instantly tell them to learn a trade. Plumbing, hvac, electrical, whatever it is. It costs at most $2000 for 2 years at schools and most employers will pay your way through it. I’m 23, at 18 I was making 10/hr, I got up and learned HVAC for free thanks to my employer and I’m now making 70+/year and it’s only going up from here.
