I have to say I just watched "Marry My Dead Body" and LOVED it! I laughed and cried, I really liked it. My favorite on this list though is still "Love, Simon".
I loved “Marry My Dead Body,” but I found the ending problematic. Did the cop suddenly realize that he’s gay? Or is he still heterosexual and just presenting as a stereotypically fem gay man? I’m really not sure.
"Dance of 41" and "Operation Hyacinth" are both really good, recommend them. I love darker gay themed movies like this also. "Urbania" from 2000 is also a gem in its genre.
If you're anything like me, schedule yourself for a 30 minute weeping session after watching Your Name Engraved Herein. It was fantastically well made but it hits like a truck.
Ikr! I remember the days I watched it. I couldn't even think of anything else then them for LITERALLY 2 weeks and I'm not even kidding. The ending isn't bad but really never felt complete
Thank you so much for your reviews. I have watched several of these. Having "come out" in May 1968, it is thrilling to witness the evolution of gay film without have to "hide under the covers".
@@TheRainbowsMood Thank you. By the way, I am a huge fan of Nicholas Galitzine. He is awesome in "Red, White & Royal Blue". (Along with Taylor Perez.) He stars in "Handsome Devil" (indeed, he was!) "Mary & George" premiers this weekend on STARZ. Nicholas plays the love to King James (who was, in fact, bisexual).
@@keltus_warrior6491 it’s getting harder and harder to say these numbers out loud… I don’t know about you, but sometimes I’m resentful that younger generations have no idea what we did, and how much courage it took. A world like the one we grew up in is incomprehensible to them.
I have seen 4/10: Single...; Nuovo Olimpo; Love, Simon; and Alex Strangelove. All of these 4 are good in their own ways. But my favorite [so far] is Nuovo Olimpo. Well told story with a poignant ending. ❤🎉❤🎉 Keep up the good work you do! ❤🎉
All streaming platforms should have a Gay filter. For people that don’t care about their this content and should have a sign similar to cigarette packaging that lets you know.
Just watched "love Simon" ❤❤❤. It was just awesome. I don't know how I missed to watch this movie before. "Call me by your name" is another great movie which is not in the list.
Yeah I watched Nuovo Olimpo because of this video and I wanna cry now :D It was really good though, all movies I've watched on this list are (especially Operation Hyacinth)
If you watch any of these, watch Your Name Engraved Herein! I have already watched it everal times. It is the best Foreign one out of this list. If your looking for something a little lighter, Marry My Dead Boday, is pretty comical.
I have PeacockTV, Hulu, and Paramount+ (but Paramount+ won’t play- freezes and stops) MAX, Philio. As the free streaming Tubi. Plex, Freevee, and Pluto. Might do a Here-TV for a month but can’t at the moment.

I'm more into movies I can watch and not read when I want to read a book I pull out a book and when I watch a movie I want to WATCH a move. If they can dub crappy movies they can also dub good gay movies as well.
I just have to say that the narration sounds suspiciously AI generated. The rhythm of speech is predictable, as is the intonation throughout each sentence (also notice the longer pauses after what is probably a comma in the text.) if this isn’t AI generated, then your narration sounds robotic.
I stop saying Netflix because all this bias against gays. horrible, outdated, negative gay movies. Whoever is responsible for buying that catalog, should be fired
Dance of the 41 is a story during the mexican revolution and not in the early 2000's also the gay man is the president's son in law and not the son of the mexican president,o please give the right information before doing a recomendation. Thanks for all the great job that you do.

Yassss🔥🔥🔥
41 and Cobalt Blue are fabulous films.
Yass
I loved Nuovo Olimpo. I watched it right after my husband passed away.
Nouvo olimpo is perfect one! 😊
"Dance of 41" and "Operation Hyacinth" are both really good, recommend them. I love darker gay themed movies like this also. "Urbania" from 2000 is also a gem in its genre.
Single All the way was amazing. There needs to be more diversity in these leading roles. Love interracial gay relationships displayed on screen.
i have seen them all hahah my favorite ones would be 41, Cobalt Blue, Your Name Engraved Herein and Nuovo Olimpo
Yasss❤️❤️

Yasss
The lust two are very interesting, I’ve just wanted to watch them 👌👏🤩Thanks a lot gay ❤
😍😍😍
I love gay movies!! #GAY #LGBT #MOVIE
🥰🥰🥰
There are just so few on Netflix. Most indie gay films are tied to specialised streaming sites. Still, I suppose we are lucky to have any at all.
If you watch any of these, watch Your Name Engraved Herein! I have already watched it everal times. It is the best Foreign one out of this list. If your looking for something a little lighter, Marry My Dead Boday, is pretty comical.
🥰🥰🥰✨✨✨
Your name engraved herin i cried after watching this movie....
😩✨ same
At 6:10 “in the early two thousands”?? No, “The Dance of 41” is about much earlier times 😅
Right, he meant early 1900s
I didn't realise we were still giving Netflix our money in 2024?
Would love to see gay recommendations for other streaming services- Hulu, Max, Tubi, PeacockTV, Plex, Freeveee ?????
Sure! maybe amazon prime , then Hulu!

These are movies i watched 2023 on netflix. Most of them in summer 2023
Should include the Movie or wish you a Korean movie that was about a song and how the two guys fell in love through the song
What is that? 🙂😘

Love, Simon is not a gay movie.

I’m sorry but too many of these aren’t in English. That’s very disappointing. More should be.
