Jochen actually tries to maintain his marriage and had multiple conversations with his wife to reconcile and stay but things become complicated when the school finds out about his relationship, which forces him to make difficult decisions. His wife eventually finds happiness with someone else, showing that both parties moved on in their own ways. It's not just about leaving his family for someone else, but about dealing with the consequences of his actions and the pressure from the outside world.
It’s also about him being unable to explore himself due to being with one person since he was 14 I’m glad his wife was understanding at the end because neither of them explored themselves so all of this was bound to happen at the end and i think they both saw it coming

Dude, his wife was devastated, I felt incredibly sad for her even thought at some level I wanted those guys work things out. But damm can you imagine telling your spouse "I've fallen for someone else", it's excruciating. At the end I was rooting for her tbh.
I know what you mean. This is why I strongly dislike storylines where one or both of the guys are married or have a boyfriend/girlfriend. It's cruel and painful to that other person because there's nothing they could've done about it and no way for them to know beforehand. At least they managed to work things put somewhat amicably in this particular storyline.
I have quite a few girls that came after me, but I never want to hide behind them and eventually hurt them one day knowing I could only live my life with a guy. Not judging, but it’s something I’d never put someone else through. Happy they found each other.

Do I need to explain to anyone what happens when a gay man in the closet is forced by society to marry and have children and then several years later cannot take the torment or meets another gay.....and wants to come out of the closet leaving his wife and children. Sad, sad all around and society and religion and ignorance does all this over and over and over and over again and again. If you think that 4-6% of the world is gay.......think again!
It’s not unusual tbh. She was definitely hurt in the car when he first told her but like she said she already knew deep down. Also they were childhood friends and had a good friendship foundation. That really made a difference. Think she was just happy he finally admitted it and was so they could both move forward.

Very well written and played. As romantic as this piece is intended... It's fantasy. And not a healthy one. Pursuing someone who is already in a committed relationship is only good for narratives. The damage done to oneself and others under such conditions is no conducive to a happy ending. There are always lingering and often persistent consequences. As someone who has made this mistake more than once... I can't recommend it. I'm still drawn to such movies... even though I know it never works out like in the movies.
