Hello, I'm Hevin! I was happy to shoot this topic with a smile in a light atmosphere And It was such a fun shoot with good cast members. Please enjoy watching it, too!
Hello friends! I'm Yena, a transgender person in the video. I was so excited when the producer told me about this project. It's been a comfortable and enjoyable shoot. It's always a great pleasure for me to talk to a straight person about my identity. I believe that one step further is becoming a world where we understand each other. I have the same faith in you who watched this video. This world we live in together is getting better little by little. Thank you for your support.
You took the lead and spoke so well. I just missed the chance to see you explaining what cisgender means to the public. It would be a good opportunity for many people to learn it.
I didn't expect to cry but hearing a trans woman explain that her father insisted that her mother accept and support her because the world might not... That's so beautiful. I wish all parents understood that, that we need them to be on our side. I'm so glad she has supportive family 💜
and that is literally the most important thing for parents to understand. So many of us have been told "I just don't want life to be harder for you than it has to be" or "I'm worried for you" to dissuade us from coming out. But in the end, life is always hard, and telling us to avoid standing out so we don't get hurt is just telling us to accept the pain where no one else can see it. My parents told me they didn't want it to be harder. But it was harder, especially without their support.
Yena has such a great energy, I get the feeling there must never be a dull moment with her. The way she said that her future job was to become Seung Jin's wife was hilarious.🤣
Yena caught Seung Jin off guard. 😂😂 We need more videos like this. Maybe people will quit asking stupid questions. Love is love. I would rather be happily in love than miserably married. 😮
YES! Im gay and also learning Korean. I’ve been learning so much about their culture and how conservative it still is. It gives hope to see that we are at least a subject of debate nowadays. This is already a victory. 🥹🥰
no, but when she was talking about her relationship with her parents as a trans women, it moved me to tears cause i know my parents would NEVER accept me if i came out as queer
You sound young, and the good news is that once you're financially independent and can live on your own, being queer can get a lot easier. If you're still living with your parents, their rejection can be scary or even dangerous, since they hold all the power in the relationship. However, when you're able to live your own life, you can live authentically as yourself, and yours parents' choice to reject you is only _their_ problem. And fortunately, increasing societal acceptance of LGBTQ+ folks means it can be very easy to find a community of friends who love you as you are. Sometimes, "family" is just what you call the people who love you, whether or not they're related by blood. 💜
@@jospinner1183 im gonna have to move countries or something cuz there is a big chance i will get hate crimed and i don't think the police here will care
@@Nella_nova Yeah, unfortunately there are some parts of the world that aren't going to be safe for queer folks no matter how much family support we get. And within very large countries like the US, there's a huge difference in both laws and social pressures between states and even localities. Cities are almost always safer for trans people than rural areas, though the cops tend to be equally useless/dangerous in all areas. I'm trapped here in the US due to economic factors, but I've found that even within countries that may not be particularly safe for queer people, there are often _safer_ areas. These are often areas where a lot of LGBTQ+ folks live near each other and form protective networks and community mutual aid groups. Sometimes we have to keep ourselves safe.
As a lesbian this was so comforting to see. I am also a teen so seeing older lgbt people representing us so well is so touching❤ I really look up to them. Someday I hope to be able to be myself freely and safely.
Love this!~♡ As a transgender lady, some of those questions are offensive and feel dehumanizing at times. However, there's always a way in life, and it's never usually so black and white as many terrible people make it out to be. So love yourself while respecting others as long as it isn't hurting anyone!
I had a question. What gender do you mention in ur legal documents once u have changed the gender ? Having a different face and different gender and a different identity is passport renewal a problem? Coz now u are a lot different so how is that dealt with ?
@niyatitejwani9963 First, you have to take it to court(I only know about how it's done in America) and pay $150-$300 dollars as a fee(im in TX) to change your legal information. Then you would have to go renew other things you've signed up for, such as a passport, which is a mandatory change the airport has to follow through with in order to allow you to travel. I'm not financially stable yet and still rely on my parents as I'm a high-schooler soon going to college, but I plan to go through the process of changing my legal information.
I wanted to hear more from the Bisexual girls experience because I'm a BI woman as well and we tend to get ignored in the comuntiry and world. People think you're either gay or straight and that's not true. Sexuality is a spectrum for a lot of people.
Yes and then it’s also annoying when people conflate bi with pan and everything else…saying every person who experiences multi-gender attraction is the same is like saying everyone who experiences attraction to one gender is the same. I just wish people could understand that sexuality is a spectrum and it’s so much more complex than people think. You don’t have to get it, just don’t tell other people what they are and respect them.
@@chuuislovechuuislife if anyone is confused : Bisexual / Biromantic : Someone who may be attracted towards two genders (not necessarily men and women, may be out of the cisgender norm) Pansexual / Panromantic : Someone who may be attracted towards any genders Hope that helps ! PS : I like your analogy :)
@@TheDeathW thank you 😊 yes I see a lot of people confusing them. I mean bi can also be attraction to two or more genders, as I am technically omni if we’re going by strict definitions…but labels adapt over time
Came here again after watching "blue boys" cause I wanna make sure that the cast is him Seung Jin. Indeed, it's him. So great to know that he himself play role in LGBTQ+ series. So proud of him.
Sim ,é ele mesmo, levei um tempo para reconhecer ele. Eu tou adorando essa série, ele é muito fofo. Estou chocada com sua idade, ele não parece ter 28 anos ,no máximo eu daria 17/18 anos para ele 😮
I have never met anyone from LGBT community and lots people I see are homophobic but I am glad to learn so many things with this channel. Kindness should not be partial everyone deserves it❤
We're everywhere! Sometimes people tell me to my face that they've never met a trans person 🤣 and I am one. People might not be comfortable or it might just not have come up.
@@mutation173 yeah they are prolly not open. I mean why would they we had a guy who had a feminine voice and was pretty considerate and talked softly all the guys in our school called him gay. I later became friends with that guy so sweet and he not even gay dude.
You definitely have, just not knowingly. According to Gallup surveys, *at least* 5% of the population is LGBT+. That's A LOT... 1 out of 20 people. That means literally every day you probably talk to multiple LGBT+ people without realizing it.
There's so many stereotypes around Lesbian and gay people. People think they look and act a certain way, but that's not true at all. Regardless of looks, hair, style, personality, likes and dislikes, etc...sexuality is just attraction (sexual and romantic) to the same gender.
This attraction doesn't have to be binary or focused on a single gender, that said ! Sexual and romantic attractions, gender identities, gender expressions, are whole spectrums ! (I have no problems with what you said, just wanted to be more precise ^^)
Usually, I'm very adamant about watching LGBT topics on channels like Giggle because they are usually pranks, and even though it's all fun they can be offensive. So I was reluctant to watch it. But I am not disappointed as an LGBT, this is probably the most respeftcul way to approach these unnecessary questions and at the same time, it educates. So all I'm saying is thank you Giggle
I'm transgender on male hormones but in Korea I still used the female public toilets and acted feminine because I didn't feel safe using the mens and as a foreigner you can't really defend yourself if someone tries to hit you or you might get sued, so its best to avoid conflict even if it sucks
I hate those decisions. At this point it's men's room for me no matter what - I would make women uncomfortable if I walked into a women's restroom - but for a while it was a choice I hated making.

Brave of all 5 of you and great job! The more the imaginary barriers can be knocked down, the better. I'm in the UK where we of course do have challenges and can be labelled and regarded as weird or worse but it isn't as bad as some other countries. In my village when the neighbours heard we were officially a couple, all we heard was 'Congratulations!'. Keep up the great work.
Tbh as a bisexual in the UK ive had a lot of people not believing I've even dated women or thinking there's "no need" for me to mention my sexuality because I'm engaged to the opposite gender so... I think there's a lot of work to be done. A lot of bisexuals feel forced back into the closet.
5 months later and that same actor had done two UA-cam series playing a gay character who has gotten a lot praise for their realistic kisses and chemistry. So he has the experience now 😊
Okay, the part about how Hevin's friends' boyfriends are always on guard low-key made me happy. Not because I want anyone to be uncomfortable, but because here in the west, men don't really respect WLW relationships and see queer women as irrelevant/no threat to them in the dating world. Like wtf, I can steal your girl too bro 😂
I immediately recognised Yena from that one video of her meeting a trans man and them discussing their experiences. She completely stole my heart with her humor and quick wit 💜
Idk why everyone is complaining i will take these videos and old videos over the culture stuff any day. That culture content is getting far too repetitive when really we miss, well i miss. The older cast who used to feature till they were clearly no longer required on this channel, and other channels. More of this and reaction videos please!
I'm not so much upset, just bored. Since I'm probably among the older crowd around here, I've already seen stuff like this so many times and there's little difference between them.
@@CottidaeSEA As a person of the LGBTQ+ community, I understand what you mean. I like seeing videos like this made amongst other cultures because it shows that there’s a bunch of us around the world. I also like hearing their experiences. I can understand if you find this topic taboo or boring because you’re older or have seen so many videos like this but, I find it nice to hear what other cultures have to say about the LGBTQ+ community ☺️
@@BaldCoryxKenshinfan I technically count as LGBTQ+ but I think you have a much stronger connection to it. So therefore it makes more sense for you to also care. In my case it's just my sexuality that is a bit different, but nobody ever bothers me about it and never has. So I don't really relate to this either. If I did then it'd likely still be interesting. As for my age, my UA-cam account is 17 years old. I think that should be telling enough of how many of these videos I've been able to watch during those years.
The person asking the questions is actually an actor under SukFilm, a production company on UA-cam. His drama's have actually blown up. I was so shocked to see him here!? Like oh? what are you doing here???
The guest, Choi Seung Jin, who is an actor, is a BL actor under SukFilm. He is in Blue Boys parts 1 and 2, and Seoul Blues. He is a really good actor. I think this interview probably helped him with his roles as a gay male who has intimate scenes with the other male actor.
Just found your channel and already subscribed because of this video. I hope to see more content featuring LGBTQ+ guests, there is still A LOT to teach.
The purpose of this comment is to explain my situation, how I'm going about it and to ask for your help. Thx. I'm transgender AND gay so I have two "problems". People can say that I'm still a woman, so they say I'm hetero or I'm a man and I'm gay. I prefer the second proposition. Today, I'm scary to say "I'm a man, even if I look like a woman. Please, I'm still the same person, treat me like a normal people". The question "How do you use the public toilet" makes me feel like...hurted ? But I can tell you how : recently, I started to use men toilet but only if I wear like a man. I don't really like public toilets in general so, I don't go there often. I can also tell you how I bathe in public. I don't really like public swimming pool so I don't go there but for the sea, I don't go there too. I feel strange and like a monster when I wear swimsuit. I'm really scary because of people' looks. So I stay away and I wanna cry because I wanna swim like everyone. Also, I came out to my parents, my sister and my friends. At first, my parents were a bit overwhelmed, but they wanna understand me more. My father accept me but my mother doesn't know how it can be possible to be transgender. She said "it's strange but I wanna understand". Today, I have a good relationship with all my family. I just don't know how to take my mother's words. I'm a lil bit hurted... One of my friends told me : "I don't know if I'll hurt you but...what's your sexual orientation ?" I tell him : " I'm gay, I'm totally gay" and as a joke and because I knew he could ask : "you don't like me, do you ?" (it's better to laugh than cry) I added : "You're not my type.". He didn't hear that but asked me anyway if it was mean or not : it was mean and I feel bad for this last sentence and because I know that I have two "problems" and then I can't be able to be loved... Watching this video was a great experience and I learnt a lot about how I can react but I'm still scared. Thx for reading my story. It took the weight off my shoulders so it doesn't matter if you don't care. If my relatives happen to read this, please, be gentle and support me, 'cause I'm really down... Thx a lot. FD
Cheer up, you got this :) I know sometimes dealing with hurtful questions is exhausting and it’s tiring to answer. But a lot of people don’t have harmful intentions and are just not as informed! Stay strong and if someone asks nicely, try to explain how you feel, it will take more weight of your shoulders to have your friends and family understand where you’re coming from ☺️ at the same time, you do not have to endure rude or inappropriate questions just because of your gender identity or sexual orientation! If someone’s being mean, you do not owe them an explanation to anything! You do not have a “problem” at all, you’re a person who has found their truth and is fortunate to be supported and able to live it
How old are you? That's okay to be a trans man and gay at the same time. You are double LGBT+ hahaha. Yes, it would be a little harder to explain to people that you transitioned to man but you're still attracted to man. They will assume that you are heterosexual and like girls, but this is not the case for you. There are a plenty gay cis men that will like and love you the way you are. Don't take much energy thinking about it right now. Focus on yourself. Good luck. Bye. ⭐
I was actually a bit surprised that all the people on the video were just 'one thing'! In my experience, a lot of people are trans or nonbinary and gay or bisexual at the same time. So you are not weird at all, in the queer community! I hope you find other lgbt friends, so you may feel less alone. Maybe try an art class? Good luck!
I think there are also stereotypes that if ppl become trans then they automatically become straight, when in fact, it's not always like that. I'm so sorry for you i hope you're doing great
i hope the guy can have a conversation with his family:-( even if they already know and don’t mind i think it’s always better to express how you feel and get it off your chest
The last question was really funny to me, because in America we often joke that if one member of your high school friend group comes out as gay or trans, withon a few years it will turn out that all of them were, because weirdos and people who are different can smell each other and group together even if they don't yet understand _how_ they're different. >~

I applaud these people for coming for this kind of video ❤ Yall are beautiful individuals 😊 This was a very cute and kind video. Im glad that SK is slowly getting more open about these topics. Everyone deserves to love whoever they want. ❤
I love seeing other lgbt people living their lives truely in countries other than america and england. As someone who isnt from a place that's very overtly accepting it's really comforting seeing ppl with more similar experiences to my own in this aspect. No hate to the ppl from more supportive places tho, im not trying to diminish your struggles (and i see the shit ur governments are trying to do to youse atm), it's just different.
Idk why people are so offended by other's sexuality?. I mean it's their life, their choice man. If they find happiness that way than why it's affecting u insecure people?.
Fear of something they don't understand or / and try to. Of course, they will always argue it isn't lgbtphobic since it's not a problem to them in their opinions, just "facts" / "reality", that a phobia is hatred / fear and they don't have that (when such feelings can be expressed and felt differently that what persons think) This is sadly beyond being offended, seeing how hate crimes and such are yet again growing more and more against us. In the USA (which I don't live in), they multiplied by 4 nationwide since anti-LGBTQIA+ bills... In my country, which is supposed to be quite safe, as well as my living place, I've been physically attacked several times... Honestly it's just scary and it's worrying about our future But we bite back :) and will always exist, like we always did !

Yeah that was funny
I wanted to hear more from the Bisexual girls experience because I'm a BI woman as well and we tend to get ignored in the comuntiry and world. People think you're either gay or straight and that's not true. Sexuality is a spectrum for a lot of people.
Biphobia is an awful thing that even exist within the LGBTQIA+ community.
I'm sorry for what you went through.
You're valid ! And always will be.
@Scwrocks So true.
@@chuuislovechuuislife if anyone is confused :
Bisexual / Biromantic : Someone who may be attracted towards two genders (not necessarily men and women, may be out of the cisgender norm)
Pansexual / Panromantic : Someone who may be attracted towards any genders
Hope that helps !
PS : I like your analogy :)
@@TheDeathW thank you 😊 yes I see a lot of people confusing them. I mean bi can also be attraction to two or more genders, as I am technically omni if we’re going by strict definitions…but labels adapt over time

Omg that's where I saw him from! I knew he was in a BL but i've seen so many so I couldn't be sure. He's adorable :)
Sim ,é ele mesmo, levei um tempo para reconhecer ele. Eu tou adorando essa série, ele é muito fofo. Estou chocada com sua idade, ele não parece ter 28 anos ,no máximo eu daria 17/18 anos para ele 😮

@mujahe4dDude, get a life, you’ve been commenting that everywhere
A lot of times, because of korean BL, people start to make assumptions and fetishize east asians who are gay. It's really sad.

Wanna bet you have met some but they just didn't tell you? :)
We're everywhere! Sometimes people tell me to my face that they've never met a trans person 🤣 and I am one.
People might not be comfortable or it might just not have come up.
I’m so glad to read that. Thanks ☺️
@@TheDeathW thank you for adding that on and no problem 😊
I'm kinda shocked with Yena's father being the one convincing the mother to accept her, usually it's the other way around. That's so good to hear tho!
I resist too, they've done "find the gay guy" and that was super painful to watch... This one was quite lovely.
As a lesbian with a religious family.. i find such videos relatable and makes me feel somewhat less alone ^^

I'm transgender on male hormones but in Korea I still used the female public toilets and acted feminine because I didn't feel safe using the mens and as a foreigner you can't really defend yourself if someone tries to hit you or you might get sued, so its best to avoid conflict even if it sucks
It's unfortunate but you have to put your own safety first. Gotta do what you gotta do
I hate those decisions.

A lot of bisexuals feel forced back into the closet.
yena is so funny 😭😭 i love her energy. and hevin is soooo pretty ❤
I love Yena too💙
We appreciate hearing their insights in detail. Seems like they have wider perspectives than any of us could expect.
The gay guy was too flustered poor him lmao

Thx a lot.

Good luck!
Wishing you strength ❤
I think there are also stereotypes that if ppl become trans then they automatically become straight, when in fact, it's not always like that. I'm so sorry for you i hope you're doing great
i hope the guy can have a conversation with his family:-( even if they already know and don’t mind i think it’s always better to express how you feel and get it off your chest

The last question was really funny to me, because in America we often joke that if one member of your high school friend group comes out as gay or trans, withon a few years it will turn out that all of them were, because weirdos and people who are different can smell each other and group together even if they don't yet understand _how_ they're different. >~

Idk why people are so offended by other's sexuality?. I mean it's their life, their choice man. If they find happiness that way than why it's affecting u insecure people?.
Fear of something they don't understand or / and try to. Of course, they will always argue it isn't lgbtphobic since it's not a problem to them in their opinions, just "facts" / "reality", that a phobia is hatred / fear and they don't have that (when such feelings can be expressed and felt differently that what persons think)
This is sadly beyond being offended, seeing how hate crimes and such are yet again growing more and more against us. In the USA (which I don't live in), they multiplied by 4 nationwide since anti-LGBTQIA+ bills...
In my country, which is supposed to be quite safe, as well as my living place, I've been physically attacked several times...
