There isn't many high level practitioners of grappling releasing roll narration with such detail. Thanks for these videos, and the lat trap. I look forward to as many of these that you feel like producing.
The turtle position, putting all your weight on your shins and balancing on your forehead keeping your elbows tucked right by your hips, I'm gonna play with that position during rolling. Thank you.
Thank you very much for your insides coach! Love this content. do you think the ashi slide is also applicable in mma because of the striking? Could be risky maybe risky if your technique fails ?
Hi Coach/Tristar Gym! I had a question. For the side-control/cow catcher style guillotine @ 2:05 - 3:10, do you want to hold a chin-strap ideally + torque the neck, or do you ideally want your radius as deep across his neck as possible? What are the trade-offs / what is your recommendation?
ahhh the priit mihkelson turtle at the @9:00 mark. He didnt invent it but its cool to see when people hate on it and then a big name like Firas is using the same turtle. In short be ready for the bandwagons that were hating on it before to suddenly agree and say things that Priit has been saying.
The Priit turtle was a game changer for me. Was lucky to be taught by him at our club several years ago. I'm so used to seeing "broken turtles" all the time (which don't make sense to me) in youtube tutorials. Now I'm happily surprised to see Firas using the same turtle. And even transitioning through panda/sitting turtle, bit of running man... This video will create a difficult dilemma for Priit haters.
@@FarangNick glad to hear that bro. The thing is when you reverse engineer it to help your offense game you start to not really see "techniques"...all you start to see is if your opponents elbow, knees, or jaw is not tucked in, and from there you just flow with attacks depending on where the weight/pressure is, his resistance, or energy(momentum) etc etc.
Love these Narrated videos Coach could you do some more on the turtle position, perhaps something that explains it for both jiujitsu and mma? I'm getting tapped slapped. :D
Around 9 minutes you play turtle with your elbows tight (something I’m totally behind), but what do you say to those people who say you’ll just get punched from there in MMA?
transition right away to guard or stand up depending where the weight or energy is. also off balances or bumps are useful. Sort of like how Tyson slipped and defended punches without having to use his hands.
Hey coach, I am curious if from side control when you get a lat trap on the far arm if you have done any work with pinning the near side arm with your shin and entering more or less a top side crucifix. If so what attacks do you recommend from there nogi.
Are these vids instructionals or just meant to feed someone’s ego because he wasn’t good enough to be a professional grappler or a UFC star like George.
Matrix slide confirmed new move
These narrated rolls are GOLD.
For real
Regular Instructionals are cool but narrated rolls are so much more helpful
We need another Q and A episode coach
Got a new computer gonna be back on this week!!

These are awesome. I'd love to see these for striking as well.

Thank you very much for your insides coach! Love this content. do you think the ashi slide is also applicable in mma because of the striking? Could be risky maybe risky if your technique fails ?
Palhares used it very successfully in ufc. In mma u need to shot the legs then slide.
Loved it mate... Thank you

Platinum Knowledge
Can you some day explain in details how to get a good and tight underhook ? And also how to defend it
The simulation
Wassuuudawww
Stop it at 13:09 hahaha
Seems there was another Matrix glitch with the first guillotine as well... Jr. was doing like a 100% sweep...
Luar biasa suguh keren 👍👍👍😘😘
6:04 9:05 turtle detail
You still need to master traditional wrestling take downs because in a real altercation, you can’t play around with an underhook and knee tap

Is it ok for a coach to say "there is no escape to this move?"
If I remember correctly I said that I don’t know an escape to this move. I have since learned one.
