    Love your videos, I am absolutely addicted to them. I stopped watching a lot of travel vloggers who lost their touch. Everyone is focused on cinematics and luxury, which don't get me wrong is cool but gets tacky and boring. I love that after 9 years your focus is still the travel itself, the culture, the history, and practical tips and budgeting that viewers looking to make these experiences for themselves. Keep on going, man. You love what you do and it is incredible.

    Have seen many videos of tokyo by different vlogers but your's is definitely the best among those. What's different is that your video gives a real feel and taste of the places rather than capturing cinematic and best moments that most of the vloggers does. Following you since 2016 and is definitely my favourite channel in youtube. 👍

      100% the best part of Gabe's videos is the realness and that "on the ground" first person feel in all the places
      Really prefer that to the more cinematic vibes as well

      @xenotypos 6 років тому +10

      @@pradeepkhadka8205 Why are many Indians so annoying on youtube? Triggered for the slightest rude stuff said about their country.
      Look, I'm not American but I know for sure that you can't more "friends" than Japan and USA, and that most Japanese are currently more interested (in average) in USA than in India or my country for all it matters.
      Also, most Japanese aren't shameless enough to blame USA for the nuclear bombs, thankfully the culture isn't that pathetic here.
      Last but not least, it's not because India is the 6th economy that its development is close to Japan or whatever, development itself isn't measured by the size of the economy (which is depended on the population) but by the gdp per capita. The gdp per capita in a third world country like Irak is twice bigger than in India, that's the reality. I won't even compare with Japan. You also have the human development index in which India is ranked 130th.
      So no, it's not even near happening, even if India become the second economy in the world in 2060 it will still be far from that standard. One day maybe, but it's not really close or whatever.

    Okay, I totally LOLd at the eating of the edamame pod! Sorry. It was pretty hilarious. It’s like if someone didn’t take the corn cob out of the husk and tried to eat it! Live and learn! 😂 Now you’ve had edamame. 👍🏼 It’s so common in the US these days, but you haven’t really been in the US much. That was a really cool area. I bet it’s crazy lit up at night! I keep thinking about Blade Runner watching these Tokyo videos. ✌🏼

    • @GabrielTravelerVideos
      @GabrielTravelerVideos  6 років тому +4

      Yeah I'm certain I've had edamame before, but maybe it was out of the pod before, just the soy beans? Either that or I forgot. No regrets. Nothing wrong with a little extra roughage.

    As a fan of your videos for many years I am really happy to see you now being able to afford 20 dollars lunch... 30 dollars dinner... no care in the world paying those prices daily. But at the same time I feel a bit sad that the original spirit of your channel has gone. It's not backpacker budget travel anymore. No more carrying around a metal cup and muesli to save on breakfast costs. It's now more for people earning a western salary going backpacking for a 2 weeks holiday. Those kind of people think nothing of paying 10 bucks in Starbucks for sandwich and coffee. But good on you because you earned this success with all your hard-work and relentless uploading. Although... you still sleep in dorms and pay more for a dinner than your hostel! Sleeping in dorms is budget travel no matter what, so that's cool. Nice one Gabe, hope you continue to grow on your life and travel journey!
