Yo Chase, you are spot on with your review. I had a triumph speed triple 955cc, a triumph 675r Daytona, then a 2007 ktm 990 super duke. I’m 58 and wanted something with the same ability but lighter. I got that same orange 390 your riding and yes it checks all the boxes. I do miss bigger tire patch, but then you would loose the agility etc. I passed on a $2000 discount on the 2023 model because the 2024 was south a step up. Plus the quick shifter on this one is suppose to be really good. I might try the new 990 duke, it’s much lighter now too. Although I’m sure this 390 is pretty unique in what it offers. It looks so expensive for $6299
I'd love a comparison of this vs the NK450. I've ridden a Ninja 250r for 12 years and I'm thinking about replacing it. I want another nimble bike but a little punchier and naked. This looks amazing, but I'm drawn to the smoothness of the balanced twin on the NK.
Skipping and hopping to the nice scooter, now that was a nice touch. The looks are kind of polarising to me though it is unique but one thing I have always not liked and don't like about the 390 is how the technology makes it excessively expensive. Never the less what a fun review. I enjoyed it a lot , thank you.
Hi, i am 6' tall 90kg (200lbs) am i too tall and heavy for this bike or ok, i have had a ride on a KTM 390 and it vibrated so bad up through the foot pegs, does this model vibrate?
No quick-shifter? Does KTM not have the demo mode feature for this model? Seems odd that track mode and launch control would be included over the QS (that's standard on the Husqvarna 401's). KTM's website provided no answers for these questions or even the retail price for this particular model but their demo tour will be in my area in a couple of weeks and I should be able to get my questions answered there. IMO all the extra electronic features, premium tires, and much better resale value makes the 390 Duke a better value than the 450NK too!
Definitely an improvement but considering the oversupply of brand new 2023 models that dealers can’t get rid of for 6k otd by me. I’d save the 2k right now
I had a 2019 duke 390. I loved that bike so much. Always kept it in the garage. But around 750 miles, I took it out on a damp chili spring morning here in PA to go get some breakfast and the TFT dash got condensation inside of it and completely stopped working the next day. My Ktm dealership replaced it, which took about 2 weeks. Then the second TFT dash got condensation in it, riding it home on a cool summer night. It didn't stop working. But it also never dried out in almost 3 weeks after that. So, I sold it back to the dealership. I miss that bike. I'm going to Buy a left over 2024 in the spring. I heard the new TFT doesn't have that issue at all.
So many great choices! KTM alone gives you teh 390 DUke, the RC390, or 390 Adventure (so you pick, Adventure, sport, or naked bike!) THen you add other great bikes in this sector like the MT-03, Z400, CB300R or the Honda 500cc (CB500X, CBR500 or CB500), plus Suzuki has the legendary SV650, and Kawasaki has the Z650 and z650RS, plus you can go with sport bikes like the Ninja 400 or 650, R7, R3, CBR300, CFMOTO450ss, and some crazy choices like Moto guzzi has a small displacement, and Husqvarna has the 401 Vitpilen and Svartpillen... CHOICES MAN! I"m helping somebody choise a new bike (they are getting their license now and borrowing my 390 Adventure for now, a bike I LOVE), and their choice for now is a CB300R due to its look (I get that, I own a CB1000R Black Edition I can't sell, and I want a bike with cruise control, like a XRS900 or SPeed Triple RS, but I can't seem to sell that Honda...) I do think the CB1000R is one of the most beautiful bikes, but also I like the 890 DUke R (which this is a mini copy of, and I do think this is a quality bike). This would my my top choice (or Z400, but I'd still pick this)
Watching your other video on the older model (and Gixxerbrah's review) was a lot of the reason I got a 23' Duke. They are substantially marked down since new model came out

What model year did you ride?
Dude, your boots on the video, please brands and model?
No quick-shifter? Does KTM not have the demo mode feature for this model? Seems odd that track mode and launch control would be included over the QS (that's standard on the Husqvarna 401's). KTM's website provided no answers for these questions or even the retail price for this particular model but their demo tour will be in my area in a couple of weeks and I should be able to get my questions answered there. IMO all the extra electronic features, premium tires, and much better resale value makes the 390 Duke a better value than the 450NK too!
Love this video made me really want to get this bike !!
Excited to see a review of the 2024 790 adventure by KTM if you choose to do one. Ive never thought of buying a new bike but that would be the one
i've looked at this bike in person, pretty cool. heard it's great for tracks
Full on fun.
Does one really need ride modes on a 400cc thumper with 44HP? I rather have them add a cruise control option instead.
This would my my top choice (or Z400, but I'd still pick this)
I generally try out the modes once or twice and then set it and forget it when it comes to these types of features on my bikes.
I was looking at this bike, but I’m 6’4” and could not fit comfortably on it.
i been thinking about getting this or the 2024 ktm 250 coming out, hoping to see the 250 vid next :)
This first ride at 2x playback speed is epic.
Literally waited for this man 💯❣️
It has the quickshifter as well as auto blipper here in India..
Watching your other video on the older model (and Gixxerbrah's review) was a lot of the reason I got a 23' Duke. They are substantially marked down since new model came out
Looks fun!
Its comes with quick shifter as well.its Very popular here in india. Ktm's smal bikes are assembled in india.
Fav low cC MT 03.
OC: I don't mind not having ride modes on the nk450. the Traction control is good enough.
Do A Video On The Venom x22r MAX
Gen 1 duke still the best
I like the head gaskets the best .
