For the first one, it's a spoon rest for wooden spoons for when you're cooking, so you don't get sauce or oils on your countertop while not using the spoon
I use it to store my stone collection in while putting dirty wooden spoons on the counter.
Or it could be a spoon itself, it looks very spoonish.

The reason why you're not allowed to back up into a parking space in parking garages, is because when a car accelerates (gas cars) they shoot out a little bit of moist gas out of the exhaust. Which leaves stains on the walls

The no reversing rule is typically for underground car parks only and I’m pretty sure it’s to do with exhaust ventilation or in some places it setting off fire alarms/carbon monoxide alarms
The text at the thumbnail was supposed to say "Restricted area" in Arabic (منطقة محظورة), though for some reason it diplays the characters in the opposite order and on their isolated forms (ة ر و ظ ح م ة ق ط ن م), which makes it represent what would become to us "AERA DETCIRTSER" with all caps.

No, the sign on the dump truck is to warn people not to follow it because it's going to go into a work area, off the road or into a blocked off section of the road. You wouldn't believe how many people will follow a dump truck right off the side of the road.

I thought the reason that one's not allowed to back into a parking spot is because the front licence plate is not mandatory in some states.
I just kinda assumed that they didn't want you backing through the wall and start free-falling but that makes more sense.

In my state, the driving test was recently changed to have people back up into parking spaces. I find it safer for me to look for cars, pedestrians, and other road hazards before pulling out if I did back up parking. The only place where it is prohibited is places with front angled parking, but that's because the design encourages people to pull in and back out of the space, and not following the design means going against/blocking traffic.
I've seen that even in apartment complexes that are outdoors and with no wall directly behind the cars. its so they can have cops go thru the lot periodically to run the plates of any cars parked there. guarantee those complexes also do random inspections.

I know that that writing is supposed to be read from right to left (and that's literally all I know about how to read it), but the four leftmost characters, if read from left to right, look as if they spell PUBG in all lower-case Roman letters. (They don't actually spell that, but that's what it looks like to someone like me, who can't read that language)
Someone said all the letters are detached and this sign was written left to right, roughly analogous in English to being written all caps and backward.
So even the Arabic speakers are having trouble with this one.

I've never understood the "no backing into parking space" rule: if you back in, you can still see ahead and to the sides, and when you leave, you're facing front so you can still see ahead and to the sides. Much safer than driving in and having to back out when you can't see what might be in the way.
There was a post ages ago about a bloke who got a ticket for parking the "wrong" way round.
What's the justification for this stupid rule?
Do you like the smell of exhaust in your building? Whether it's the building you work or the building you live? That's why back in parking is banned in a lot of places. It can be a safety hazard for others in the area.

Often times it's a security issue. They don't want you to back into a walled space because it prevents the security team from seeing your rear license plate in case they need to identify your car for whatever reason.

Some places ban back in parking because exhaust will come in through windows or doors. For example, apartment complexes usually ban back in parking because exhaust will go into the ground floor apartments.

I want to commend Robin on taking the ultra brave stand to not try Chik Filet sauce. This sacrifice will not go unnoticed, and there are rumors of a statue to erected in the town square. My driver's Ed teacher said that it's illegal to back into spaces because it was a quick getaway when bank robberies were a lot more common
I work in the inbound dept of a distribution center. One stupid rule is that we have to write down the number of cartons on the pallet on the bottom right, even though we print labels with that number on it. When I write the number, I use Roman numerals.

What’s wrong with backing into spaces? Well for one thing, unless you’re in a parking lot where you can just pull through, it’s much harder to back into a tiny space (the parking spot) than a big one (the parking lot)
And also if you park uneven (like the car in the picture) then it’s super annoying for the person who you parked closer to because it’s so annoying to have to try not to scratch your car because you parked way too close

Backing into spaces at places like shopping centres and supermarkets is stupid because you can't access your boot. It also holds up traffic longer than reversing out of a park. I see no advantage to reversing in.

The reason some jackholes have signs that say "don't back into spaces" is so they can see your license plate.
This is so the "parking authorities" don't have to get out, walk around the car, just to see the plate and go back to their pathetic job.
Except that in many (most?) states of the US and almost everywhere in the world, cars tend to have plates on both ends.
It's so exhaust doesn't enter buildings. It's a safety measure.
