As a child growing up in western Azerbaijan province in Iran I have many everlasting memories. We used to be one country but in retrospect with how Iran situation is I am happy that at least people Azerbaijan is free and people seems to be happy. Wow! Baku is truly an amazing and cosmopolitan city situated along the shores of the huge Caspian Sea! A fairy tale and such a fantastic place to visit and moreover it is really true that the city center with its huge palaces looks like Paris and many other European countries. Even Turin, my provincial capital, has some similarities with Paris and it is called the little Paris of Italy. Anyway I think that Baku is worth visiting and it may be that one day I will visit it. i've been there and it is beautifully built. Like it literally has some of the most beautiful architecture. What is most impressive is that even sidewalks have nice cobblestone and even poorer neighborhoods are clean and tastefully built and decorated. Just a pretty city overall.

Wow! Baku is truly an amazing and cosmopolitan city situated along the shores of the huge Caspian Sea! A fairy tale and such a fantastic place to visit and moreover it is really true that the city center with its huge palaces looks like Paris and many other European countries. Even Turin, my provincial capital, has some similarities with Paris and it is called the little Paris of Italy. Anyway I think that Baku is worth visiting and it may be that one day I will visit it. May be....Thank you for this informative and awesome video, as usual.

I’m very happy that people start to learn more about Baku and Azerbaijan in general! Baku is really impressive and has changed and improved a lot since my childhood (I come to Baku every year since 1998 because it’s my father’s motherland). @@garstead You have no clue what you are talking about. Greater and Minor caucasus mountains cross the country and divide it into to continents. The part that falls north to the mountain is located within Europe border. The south part is in Asia.

i've been there and it is beautifully built. Like it literally has some of the most beautiful architecture. What is most impressive is that even sidewalks have nice cobblestone and even poorer neighborhoods are clean and tastefully built and decorated. Just a pretty city overall.
