Excelente melodía, la película en si es toda una obra de arte que eleva lo sublime de la poesía y de la gente común, su sensibilidad, no importando su nivel cultural. Una de mis favoritas para toda la vida.
I love "Il postino" I was so yound when this movie came out. I must have watched it at least ten or more times. Someone I used to love introduced to this and for that I have a great deal of gratitude. Thanks Elizabeth you were the best and the worst thing I ever had.

Ancora oggi resta il sentimento di un talento irripetibile e luminoso che senza Napoli non sarebbe esistito ma che a Napoli ha restituito la statura di una vera capitale mondiale. Il Pulcinella senza maschera oggi avrebbe l'età giusta per prendersi l'Oscar che il destino gli ha negato. Ma lassù (come quaggiù) lo amano in molti lo stesso.

This song gives me chills everytime I listen to it. Josh's voice is soothing but yet very powerful when singing. I love when he sings in the Romance languages becuase it brings out a different mood of his voice. All of Josh's songs are so meaningful and touching, thanks for uploading. :)

La unión entre la música y la poesía y la historia de Neruda que toca la vida del cartero y del amor de su vida, de la influencia del poeta en el devenir de Mario.... Una expresión poética de la realidad de los pueblos que acogen a otros pueblos en su tierra. Excelente interpretación de Josh Groban de la música de Luis Bacalov. No podía suceder nada mejor que unir en la dirección del film a Michael Radford y el mismo Massimo Troisi. Y al complemento ideal: esta lindísima canción. Gracias a todos
Es bueno aclarar...la banda sonora de esta película fue escrita por Luis Bacalov, por la que ganó el Oscar en la categoría "Mejor banda sonora". En 2013, Bacalov reconoció la paternidad de las canciones grabadas también a Sergio Endrigo, Riccardo Del Turco y Paolo Margheri, tras un proceso judicial con los herederos de Endrigo... mi admiración por sus verdaderos autores.

These words rip thru my heart like a dagger. My love is gone. He will never know how deeply I loved every part of him. The first time I listened to Josh sing this, it was in Italian, the video where he's recording it with the violinist next to him. I cried so hard thru it and didn't understand why... I don't know the Italian language. So, I listened to the English version...yuk! I felt nothing. I wish I knew why the Italian version makes me cry so much every time. The translation of the Italian lyrics seems uneven to me, but the meaning is unmistakable, the heart ache of losing the one you love would be terrible. To lose the one who has my heart now, would make me cry and sob because I have waited so long to be loved as she loves me. To love and be loved as we do one another is a gift, and if she were to leave,.... well,.. I don't want to think about it. I've listened to others version off this beautiful song, but Groban's is the best and the most emotional.
