I was diagnosed and treated for testicular cancer in 1998. Although mine was not as far spread as Lance's, I still had two operations and 4 rounds of chemo. I started riding a bike about a year ago for fitness and weight control. I will never race or ride for anything other than fun, and it makes me appreciate the vast effort that it must take in order to not only complete professionally after treatment for this disease, but to become the best in the world at it.
