Not hating Tom but I'd prefer the 2018 Ts. The 2018 came with black wheels(not a bronze fan), carbon fiber wing, AND STANDARD STI spoiler package all around. You do a great job reviewing though😁😁✌
I remember when I had a car with only 200 hp.....this was back in 1999 and it was an Integra Type R one of the best cars Ive ever owned looks like toyota had made leaps and bounds in the engine department I can't even imagine what 205 hp feels like Dont think I can handle it 0.o
The FA20 doesn't feel as good as the B18c motor. I had a integra GSR with 170hp and even though it probably wasn't as fast, the engine had a urgency about it in the way it feels that my 86 doesn't. It probably has something to do with the torque curve on the FA20.
@@MyGoToUserName headers and basic tune will fix the torque dip . also big diffrence if your driving auto vs manual. fa20 is a great engine . idk what you talking about
@@chilltrdpro I never said it was a bad engine, high rev era Honda engines are just better. All my cars have been manual shift. Canned tune and catless header fill some of the dip, they don't fix it. You need a 4k ace header+DT combo to fix it. Exhaust tuning for power is terrible hp per dollar value unless you have access to E85.

Charles Migliore I understand, I owned one from 2016-2018. Had so much fun modding it and messing with it. Just grew out of it I guess, plus the winters suck up here in Canada. Problem is it’s designed for a very specific audience. It’s not the most fun you can have on the streets. It’s a track car.

Love the wheels but I like the lip kit, ts logo placement, and believe it or not the unnecessary carbon fiber wing far better on the 2018 than this setup, seems like they cheapened out.
They didnt cheapen out.. based upon 2018 sales and feedback most western consumers didnt understand the functionality of the wing for track purpose and saw it only as purely cosmetic .. and too 'youth inspired' for some potential buyers .. (demographics analysis..)
Charles Migliore the lip kit and wing all together is worth near 4-5k. if you want it you now have to add it on for that. So imo whether feedback or not has anything to do with it, you are getting less for your money hence my feeling of this version being cheapened. Just my opinion.

People only buy this car for two reasons..either they purely love the look of it and nothing else matters because it looks beautiful and is youth affordable (relatively..) or 2. Drivers who KNOW about driving and racing and the potential this car delivers ..
4.3:1 best update for 2017+ also reinforced block, intake and exhaust manifolds..so many updates not realized by average ignorant consumer shoppers .. learn to drive and you will love this car.
they drive differently because of suspension set up.. My advice is to test drive BOTH versions and then make a decision.. cosmetically I like looks of BRZ better ..
My 2017 BRZ... is almost the exact same... idk why people would buy this😂 also, my brz has no grip cause of the light weight in the back, I had to get better tires so I dont slide on wet roads... buttt.... maybe its different who knows

Get yourself DRAMBEENIE risers for the back wing.. same wing as the 2020 .. this will apply perfect downforce to the rear .. and YES man please get a good set of tires ..the Continental DSW come standard now and are very good all seasons ..

@@yooeddwardd3158 when they do that there just gunna call it the "sti" they only messed with the suspension and things they didn't touch the engine and i don't think they ever will. they couldn't get the engine the way subaru/toyota wanted it so they had to get the LFA guys to tune the engine up to where it is. people make fun of it for being slow but its a 2.0ltr with a 12.5:1 compression ratio making 100hp per liter naturally aspirated that's a rowdy engine.

Agreed. I have a 2017 premium. I've even test drove the 2017 Limited and IMO, they felt relatively identical. I'm very happy with the premium version!

I got the 2020 version, biggest difference is without the body kit, reason why I got 2020 instead of 2018. I did install the sti front lip tho.
