He criticized trump's policies for having the *negative* consequence of 'wage inflation', i.e. increased wages for American workers which have been stagnant for 30+ years. Yeah.. bad one Trump.

Bobby Fraze purchasing power hasnt increased, and we are recruiting fewer top minds that run our country with technological companies than ever before due to policies in the US. So yes, bad one trump.

I agree I wrote an undergrad paper in business school on protectionism
the USA it self created internal free markets that is free trade amongst states interstate commerce clause
today protectionist may advocate protection against Canada and Mexico but not for California against New York
this idea of cheaper foreign labor
up till 1974 workers in the usa industrial peaked thanks to automation
nations with free trade always wealthier
trump bragged about a 50 billion dollar from Japan soft bank that would invest directly in USA one should also consider that's 50 billion less available for Japan to buy out exports
USA runs a trade deficit but the current and capital account has to balance that is the deficit we hold from physical goods is balanced with financial assets paper foreigners purchase stocks gov bonds real estate and investment funds for silicon valley
protectionism could not stop the South from decimating the textile industry of the north

These guys confessing on record must be tried in court and given a tinespan to rectify their mistakes failing to do so, should be put in jail. Look at what the world has come to, if u exploit / trick someone for a $100, u'll be arrested. Here are these shameless rich buggers claiming on record that they exploited millions and they are celebrated!.
If they do something substantial to mitigate and rectify their mistakes they can left free or even awarded, but if they fail they must be punished as they were responsible as they claim in the video for what social media has become today

Why is he buying stock on companies he is demanding NO BAILOUT's For?

    • @ashfame3441
      @ashfame3441 4 роки тому

@@Commissioner. Why not? If he thinks they will rise, he will buy it. Anyone would. A lot already are.
The question is who should be bailed out? Bailing out anyone is not free. It comes out of everybody's pocket because money is created out of thin air to pay for it, causing inflation i.e. reducing the purchasing power of our money. Why bail out businesses who basically get insurance for just staying in a business and not betting on the future or improving things. Also, a lot of these companies simply dump their shares before a crash and after bailout simply buy back those shares at a low price, effectively increasing their wealth. What happens to those investors/shareholders who lose because the business didn't do enough to protect itself?
Separate out the pieces of the puzzle to see things clearly.

Inside-Out Validation in a startup is important. You have to spend time in the boiler room.

  • @DanielRodd
    @DanielRodd 6 років тому +12

    BOYCOTT EVERYTHING!!! 3:33
"Well em you know I think that em, when you are in a company that is that iconic and unique,
the biggest thing you have to do is become a lot more introspective and become what I like to call inside out validated.
So you know, when stars and famous people and rich people and ceos call you and want to spend time with you
and take you out and invite you out to things, all this external validation that tells you you are important
you have to ignore it. And in fact you have to run away from it.
You have to spend time with engineers in the boiling room of making the product everyday.
And when you strip yourself of that external validation, you learn to validate yourself inside out.
And em, I'm not saying that Travis (CEO of Uber) hasn't done that but what I will tell you is,
if you can make that transition you become an extremely powerful CEO and I think Mark Zuckerberg is a great example of what that looks like."

Chamath makes important potent points of which advice all businesses need to listen to and heed. It really is an inside/outside approach forgoing the ego for the betterment of all. One additional perspective is the need for mavericks / entrepreneurs of business to not get complacent and continually reshape/ overhaul their business model anticipating what 'could' happen, not, what 'is' happening today. I believe businesses should be in the 'boiler room' at all times anticipating possible critical situations/events such as we are dealing with today with covid enabling them to continue doing business(cash flow) and NOT be left vulnerable as many that are now in that situation, perhaps facing bankruptcy. The 'what if' question always need to be out front centre.

Do you know why there is wage inflation? Because tech doesn't really product anything concrete - it only changes the nature of how we do things but does not actually manufacture anything revolutionarily new e.g. the industrial ages from horse carriages to trains and then to cars. Right now it is only gasoline cars to electric cars - its not as revolutionary. Do electric cars bring you to your destination quicker than a gasoline car? perhaps the actual impact to the society is little compared to our predecessors

Apple will always be stubborn and in turn it will hurt their business. Anyone who has followed apple knows that the next frontier is apple silicon. If they can beat intel, AMD and Ryzen by a long shot then I’ll believe in them. But even then I’m not sure their stock price will be valued much more mainly because they don’t give their investor actual hope that they can bring relevant change to an inflated industry such as tech.

Smart guy but I have to disagree that Trump will make or has already made jobs go external. Jobs have gone external for decades already. One of Trump's main presidential goals, and a huge aspect he based his campaign on, was bringing external jobs back in to the US, and that was something he began to achieve the moment he was elected into office.

xo_silentrealm_xo Trump also supports a merit based immigration system, which is exactly what Chamath is describing. Trump has expressed his position on this numerous times. It amazes me that such an “informed” individual would overlook this. Trump also supports abolishing chain migration, building a wall to prevent illegal immigration, and reducing the number of refugees and requiring they’ve passed thorough background checks. Unless Chamath is arguing we need more foreign born, unskilled workers to compete with our American born, unskilled workers.

So... having to import a few thousand techies into the US rather than train their own, justifies not building the wall and allowing millions of unskilled people to enter the US to compete against America's poorest, even those the President was mandated to prosper and protect?
I'm from the UK, and we have the same type of issues here but few consider the effects these deceptive arguments have on both citizenship _[which has nothing to do with race]_ and in the case of the UK... our precious Parliamentary Democracy. I'm guessing that if any read my comment, they won't think this through nor how citizenship can even truly exist without being able to define a people living within clearly defined borders, rather than fall for the globalist _'touchy feely'_ lies that are destryong the West.

      Hi Christine.
I believe cryptocurrency, as we see it today, is the first stage of a global currency that will be part of a ten region global financial, religious and governmental World System.
Scripture makes it quite clear that Antichrist will be forced to appear at the *Set Time* _[2 Thess 2:8]_ if he likes it or not. But more importantly, shall thereafter have only *three and a half years* ...
      Revelation 13:5
And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue *forty and two months.*
...to implement his father's penultimate survival plan attempting to break prophecy, by moving the whole world into destroying the Jews before they confess that they rejected their King, even Jesus Christ the Son of the living God, who shall thereafter call on his name and He will answer them. _[Is 63:1-6]_
      Hosea 5:15
I _[Jesus]_ will go and return to my place _[Third Heaven],_ till they _[The Jews]_ acknowledge their offence _[of rejecting their King],_ and seek my face: in their affliction _[Gt Trib / Jer 30:7]_ they will seek me early.
Therefore, having only *three and a half years* to accomplish this plan he must have this authoritative, technocratic global _[Ten Region]_ New World Order in place *before and not after* he is forced to appear, that he can _"hit the ground running'_ as it were.
      *The World’s End.*
      esculent.co.uk/blogs/0172.html
What we are seeing today are parts of a global infrastructure which they have forced us to pay for through false usury, being put into place. Their big problem is that there is someone hindering the spirit of Antichrist who is driving men to construct this coming New World Order, and someone is The Holy Spirit _[2 Thess 2:6-7]_ in every true believer in Christ Jesus...
      1 John 4:4
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because *greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.*
Knowing that he is going to be revealed at the *set time* and thereafter has only three and a half years to implement his penultimate survival, Antichrist needs Christians silenced as soon as possible, which is the real agenda behind the attack on free speech here in the West and the destruction of our Judeo Christian base.
My goal is to hinder their construction of this coming technocratic World Order which is prophesied to come, by exposing it _[Eph __5:11__],_ that when Antichrist is forced to be revealed it shall not as complete as he would have wished, meaning that in those last days of terror _[Matt __24:22__]_ the Gospel shall be preached and multitudes saved.
      Revelation 7:14
And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, *These are they which came out of great tribulation,* and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
Some may say that all Antichrist needs to do to accomplish the destruction of the Jews is first drive them home via antisemitism _[Islam today]_ and nuke Israel, forgetting who would needs be defeated in the spiritual to do that...
      Daniel 12:1
And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
Therefore Satan needs this global World order to drive all humanity to side with him and his angels against God in his penultimate attempt to defy Jesus when He returns to set-up His Millennium Kingdom here on earth.
I guess this all sounds a bit crazy, but I only state the above after much prayer and research.

    • @esculent1
      @esculent1 6 років тому

      Hi Augure.
It would be interesting to know how you define a Christian?
      Acts 11:26
And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people.* And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.*
With respect, I strongly refute your accusation that I am xenophobic and though you haven't stated it, neither racist having clearly stated that _"citizenship"_ has nothing at all to do with race. However, I strongly promote the sovereignty of nation-states recalling that when my Lord returns as He has promised _[Jn 14:1-4],_ He shall be the King of Kings... meaning that even in the coming Millennium Kingdom there will be sovereign nation-states answerable to Him.
      Revelation 19:16
And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, King Of Kings, And Lord Of Lords.
Regarding my former comment having any relevancy, I believe it does for the Scriptures clearly state that in the last days we will see...
      • A Ten region New World Order - [Dan 2:41]
      • A One World Religion - Rev 17:1-6
      *• A One World Financial System - Rev **13:15**-17*
      Revelation 13:15-17
15 - And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
16 - And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, *to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:*
17 - And that no man might *buy or sell,* save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
And this financial system lends itself to cryptocurrency which free of national banks, shall not be card based but directly attached to each person. There is much I could say regarding this issue but shall refrain myself.

In fact, why not just stop investing time, money and energy into your Nation... it's just everyone for themselves. Welcome to the unelected globalist's... _"New World Order."_

      Hi Christine.
Thank you, Matt 6:33 really speaks to me, God has been pressing me to seek Him with all my heart lately, something I have never really done if I'm honest but now must!
You're so right, He is coming back soon. I'm reminded of the prophecy in Daniel that states *the very day* He would present Himself to the Jews as their King...
      Daniel 9:25
Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem *unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks:* the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.
And He expected them _[the leaders]_ to know that prophecy, but when He presented Himself to them on the very day prophesied they rejected Him looking only to the glory of His Second Coming.
      Luke 19:42-44
42 - Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in *this thy day,* the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes.
43 - For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies _[Rome in 70AD]_ shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side,
44 - And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; *because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.*
And since He fulfilled that, and so much more translated in the Septuagint before He came and found in the Dead Sea Scrolls before He ever appeared, shouldn't we trust Him when we find His Second Coming in power recorded in His Word?
      Acts 1:9-11
9 - And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, *he was taken up; and a cloud* received him out of their sight.
      10 - And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men _[Angels]_ stood by them in white apparel;
11 - Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? *this same Jesus,* which is taken up from you into heaven, *shall so come in like manner* as ye have seen him go into heaven.
      Revelation 1:7
*Behold, he cometh with clouds;* and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

the number of free agents in the US doesn't matter, what matters is not letting the best free agents go to your competitors, i.e. china. It would be like Texas saying, we have thousands of good football players growing up in Texas, let's just recruit solely from Texas. In doing so, you forgo getting talented players from other states AND other states will still continue to poach players from Texas anyway. You basically putting yourself in a losing position.

Trump agrees- we want best and brightest, not 10-20million people, 50% of whom statistically end up on welfare, low level of education, costly medical needs.
