yes to gunpla news bro. it's worth it to hear your take on what's coming out, also cause you don't have that fake happy voice some reviewers use, so its easier to enjoy the vids with out wanting to high five a person.... in the face........ with a metal chair.

Congrats on the sponsorship. This technique is pretty good for some tabletop miniatures too. I used this on the Symbiont armour on my Tohaa models for Infinity.

Can confirm for just about any craft: brand name Qtips are annoying, especially when applying pressure/rubbing a surface. So much cotton just twirls onto itself then either forms a brush-style tip fluff, a long tail, or simply sheds fibers everywhere, and any and all of these options can ruin what you're doing. You essentially use a fresh Qtip end for about 5-10 seconds before it's done, regardless of how much coverage you got out of it.

Tends to work better if you use a toothpick with a chewed-up end on those little points that dip inward. A Q-tip can't quite get without sometimes getting too much paint out of the area.

You always need a lot of q-tips for anything with kits. ESPECIALLY WITH WATERSLIDES.

best reason to do reverse washes is for raised details to be sharp and crisp, and unless you've got cyborg levels of hand control, you'll never get that, even if you use making. So, thus, reverse wash

A while ago i started doing gunpla ans found it was a stress reliever and was calming putting everything together. So i moved on and thought 'why not paint them too?' and had a derpy moment: i painted some parts of my kit with high gloss black spray paint. it looked good until it dried. this set will be boxed forevwr hiding my shameful act.

Outside of masking and painting, or painting and then removing the paints in certain areas, this aspect of GunPla painting is one of my hated thing.
With something like the MSN-06S-2 Sinanju Stein
, Sleeves logo is probably the most daunting aspect.
If Bandai were to make an RG MSN-06S-2 Sinanju Stein
(NT Ver), then I doubt it would be a problem since the RG MSN-06S Sinanju
had the gold parts separate from the black parts so you could recreate the Sleeves logos without paint.

Its pretty much the only way to paint a MG Sinanju. They give you gold foil waterslides, but good luck with those.

Loves lacquers? Hnnnggg man after my own heart.
The best lacquers ive used is Mr Paint, aka MRP. Its pre-thinned for airbrush use. Its impossible to communicate how well it paints, other than liking it to a non-metallic version of alclad.
the paint layer is extremely thin, preserving all the detail and keeping it sharp. Has a satin finish.

    A tip
Mr hobby have a brand called acrysion,
its a paint you use for hand brush, its a VERY strong paint that have no smell & can't be removed until scraped or sanded
Dry very evenly & gloss pretty well, it took a while to coat evenly though, since it need time to dry
You can use those to fix overpeeling during reverse washes
The paint can't be peeled by lacquer thinner, but DO NOT USE IT ON PENBRUSH, it do have airbrush thinner for it, but i never tested it
The thinner for it is weird or useless at best, its there to retard the paint & make it slightly more brushable, you can clean your hand brush with industry/cheap lacquer thinner

gundam, what would you think about using the pieces as a mold and doing a brass or aluminum casting of that piece? You can do an enamel coating on the metal to maintain the shininess and paint the surface areas with a high gloss coat. You can also use rose's medal for a low melting point medal for casting if you're not comfortable with higher melting point metals.
