Out of all the tutorials I watched on how to remove numb marks, this is the most straight forward tutorial. Thank you so much Studio G, very cool.
Julius Kazunaga thank you so much! More to come, just straight on tutorial :)
I agree
And not long as hell either. Swear every tutorial video for gunpla is like 20 minutes.
Morgorath30 it's like they're doing it for the money to get monetized.
This is the only builder I've seen who doesn't cut corners with removal
the trademark on the fingers is brilliant lmfao, id like to see how content stealers deal with this one
Hahaha well they will find a way 😅😅
Get it tattooed
@@Fun_Professional2u bad idea
This actually helped me improve my nub removal. I made at least 5 MG kits but I'm always let down to see the nub marks in sight, mostly on darker plastics like the Jesta Cannon. But every kit I had left over before these current times....I made major improvements into polishing up my kits better with no nubs insight
Just started building my first model super useful and straight forward video. Thank you!! PS: love the afterwords about creativity and finding your own solutions. Please keep creating content 💪🏻
thank you thank you. I've built 4 models without knowing any tips on how to handle the plastic or what can be done to make the model look good. mine look horrible, but I have a renewed sense of creativity thanks to you. I can't wait to start my next model!
Dang, I’m gonna miss this. Have fun y’all!!
Dang, Don't worry there's always sunday stream :D
I like your attitude towards creativity and experimenting! I need to hear it regularly, because I tend to obsess on trying to make my kits just like the box art (although I do paint them). You help me relax and take problems in stride, making them part of the fun of building.
This was really helpful, in a week I'll be getting a Kotobukiya HMM Command Wolf, and will be doing my own custom paint theme for it, and have had trouble with nub marks in my other models. I was hoping to find a video and this one so far was the most to the point. I'm looking forward to putting these techniques to work!
Watched a few of your tutorials. I'm going to be checking them out more and again when I'm ready to take my own kits up to that next level.
just about to build my first gunpla. your tutorials are off the chart ... especially your production value. keep em coming!!!
Awww man thanks for appreciating all of the effort put into the video! Glad you liked them!
Easy work! Straight forward which is perfect for a noob like me. I built my first kit and left a ton of nub marks. I'll do better with my next kit
Your statement about creativity is spot on! 👌
Love your vids, builds, and tutorials. Keep up the fine work!
Thank you for these tutorials, it is a great help for new builders like me. Kudos to you man. Keep it up! 🙌
Thank you for the constant fresh content
Straight to the point! nice video justin!
Thank you very much! I have seen alot of tutorials and this is the very best one for a complete beginner like me!
Great last message! Not just about the tools!
I appreciate the tutorial! From Philippines with love 💗
Makes me want to go back and practice on my older Gundam models from high school, since I was able to get a modek kit tool kit so I can properly make future models look good.
Some intriguing information. Thanks Studio G!
Thanks for these awesome tips! Love your art!
Great video! I love your thoughts and suggestions at the end. Thank you
your tutorials are helping me a lot, i have already remove nub mark, applied water decals and panel lined 3 of my old model kits. i want to try do custom paint next with a gundam bael that i have laying around
This was super helpful. More training videos like this please.
Best way to begin my Birthday! Cant wait to learn some new skills!
I just got into gunpla your vids have been awesome
love your advices! luckily to me to know your channel. Thanks for all.
Gonna be very useful for my first kit ever ! Thank you :D
Thank you for that. I was kinda doing this already except different grip sandpaper and I wasn't using the polishing spnge
Thanks for the vid, this was super helpful for a noob builder. Keep it up bro!
I've recently been introduced to the gunpla world after building cars for a few years. This is definitely one of my go-to channels.
Cheers from Australia man! Keep up the high quality videos.
Ravipla is #1, some good ones: jenic, ItsAGunpla,. PECO's Modeling.....just click my name and see if you can view all my Subscriptions. 30% are gunpla. WELCOME!
@@d-rockpain4250 ya they are all good channel and awesome content.
Right on with the cutting not right against the piece. Really does help with not having stress marks. Nice vid.
Thank You! That was really helpful! I am a totally beginner and it helped me a lot! I would love to see more tutoruial / tips and tricks videos like this. Also some tutorial about how to use the airbrush for beginners and painting tips and tricks. I would be really happy if you would do more of these! Keep up the good work!
Thanks for the tips, more video like this please 🙌
When you're gonna do a full paint you really don't need to completely removed the nubs even if there's a stress mark since they'll gonna be covered by paint. As long as you cut them perfectly flat with the surrounding surface you're fine. Also saves you enormous time on completing your kit.
But if your just gonna do a straight build/minor color correction then it's highly recommended you completely remove them.
Thank you for the free wallpaper sir. It looks amazing. Keep up the good work💪🏼
Kimpotsxz Sumadic no problem! Enjoy them!
Saved to my StudioG playlist 👏👏
Eddie Tubbritt awww thank you!!! 😊😊😊
awesome straight forward tutorial
really help, now i can apply it to my new kit, like always EPIC!
Thank you and have fun building!
Thanks for the tutorial! Looking forward to another tutorial next Tuesday
Prestidigitalic Thank you! It should be about scribing!
I am new to the hobby and saw your post on your shop about the issues you've been having. I wish I was in a better position to help but I went ahead and bought some of the digital images you have on the site. They look great and I really hope you get back on your feet.
Thank you! New to the hobby
Was looking for how to do this recently thanks for the video.
Reminder is on hahaha. Now it's waiting game for me
I just bought a mg astray red frame kai cant wait to watch this tutorial
Studio G is a god of Gunpla.
Thank you so much. This was really helpful. But...i just ordered a pair of god hand nippers but I'm still gonna try this method. Thank you again.
Thanks for the tutorial, cant wait for the GM Sniper too..
Quick and straight to the point tutorials that is really helpful and resourceful, especially with the stick and foam tape. This how tutorials should be, not 30 mins long and telling the sane thing lol.
cybersteampunk hhha! You and I share the same principles short, and straight forward :) 😊😊😊
@@StudioGundam as a builder, i want to spend time "building". If i can learn from a video in under 8 minutes, i can try it right after. However, custom builds and painting, I can spend more time with those
This is the most wanted vdo for me
Jinn Kana thanks man!
You're posting your videos before I go to my lunch break, when this epidemic passes my colleagues will be asking me what am I watching when i'm eating, hopefully you get a couple of subscribers more. Keep it up with the good work my friend and stay safe 👍🖖
Charlo' Zammit thank you buddy! And you too please stay safe and I will keep on working hard that's for sure 😊
This is a big help thank you for this😘
I like the way you make your videos
Thank you Omar!
This is amazing!
As a grown up man and a newbie.. I am very interested in gunpla. I’ll make sure to follow your step
Aw yes, thanks for this guide bro
Thanks for the video, I can now clear all but marks on my gunpla
Thank you very much for sharing the tip. Keep it up.
huge, thanks man
Thanks for the tips man now I can finally get rid of this damn nub marks, once again such a helpful video.
Joel Brighton I'm glad I've helped!
What grit do you use for the polishing
chisel tips dude, makes it SO much easier.
Thanks for the video bro! 😎👍🏼
great series. thank you
xz c Thank you!
Planning to build soon 😊
Thank you man, it helps a lot :)
Naturally Tutorial Bro...good job
Simple yet very effective. And it's less than 10 minutes! Great tutorial!
arigathanks man! Big help!
hey! i think you should also do panel lining tutorial using tamiya and using gundam markers and show us the difference of it.
Thankfully I'm still in dream. Can't wait for Diorama of GM Sniper.
Usually for me shaving the excess is enough. They’d be barely visible by then. And once I top coat the kit, the nub marks would only be visible if your looking at the very closely.
jeg tano what top coats do you use, I recently have got the tamiya weathering kit and have been dry brushing my gunpla before that, any recommendations?
The RedKing's Art__ 6221 I suggest using matte if your weathering.
Thanks so much!!! I got into building while being in lockdown so this helps very much! Would you be open to do simple paint styles for beginners after removing nubs?
So Jiatin is your name. Mines Dustin, hahaha, pretty awesome to learn you are named with the one of the most common way I tend to be called. Anyways, back on track. Your way is a little more time consuming but I prefer it a lot more than the method shown by others. It is much more meticulous yet it means less or slightly less steps if done right. It is much viable and a better way to do for beginners and those that cannot access to more extensive yet more expensive ways. Not only that, atleast now doing the other methods now becomes more of an in case I mess up thing to do. Thanks Studio G, this is what I was actually looking for.
what a best way to put a watermark!
Your hair looks great btw.
Thanks man
I cant wait
Tanks for thoses tips man :-)
you cutting towards yourself got me nervous eventhough i cut like that myself🤣 as usual, lit videooooo🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
aimanfaiz HHaha I feel more comfortable that way actually 🤣🤣🤣 thank you!
@@StudioGundam yeah the easiest position🤣
Dunno if anyone mentioned but. Your hair look LIT af bro :))
khang le HAHAHAHAHAH YES THEY DID IN THE LIVE CHAT! It's quarantine hair no barbar shop is open hahah but I kinda like it too 😆
Thank yo for helping me 🙏
Quality content:)))👍👍👍
I love using a chisel-type blade and cut of the nubs while laying the whole blade flat against the piece ... Easy quick and the chisel blade cannot slip like a nipper can potentially :D
wow tq for the info
What hobby knife is that? That thing is sick! Also great video
10/10 for the popsicle trick
yow thanks!
Good amazing! 👍🤩
Autocaptions: " on how I remove nut marks "
amazing
hmmmmm
I'd like to thank you for the tutorial - very straightforward and easy to follow.
However, I'd like to mention one thing - the stress marks on certain colors and types of plastic are more visible, for example the Gundam 00 blue plastic really marks easily; the dark blue on Unicorns (not to mention the stupid gold on Phenex; as well as the red feet on many MG kits.
I also experienced one thing with the white plastic - a nub in the middle of a semi-sphere (the ankle armor on MG Exia) - and after sanding I could see a darker spot there, but the coloration was inside the plastic itself.
So, could you maybe revisit the tutorial one day and try different types and colors of plastic?
Damn, I recently got into gunpla building, just got some exacto knives, and it seems my skill of cutting numb marks was better when I used the regular box cutter. It was more smooth and easier to use.
With the exacto knives (I have the same shapped blade as the one on your knife), I've managed to hurt myself, accidentally split the v-fin, and remove a huge portion of plastic in one spot, which I barely rectified with some sand paper. Did I mention that I am a leftie lol
This requires time, effort, patience and practice.
brah, well made
Your tutorials are great. I learn a lot from the tutorials and the Build Videos. But one Question remaining: What is this little Transparent tool what you use as ruler for lining?
quick tip for all gunpla builders: get your elbow fixed on the table and flick your wrist to sand rather than using the whole arm, it’s much faster, leaves less unwanted scratches and your arm wont be as weary after a long build. Great video, really straightforward, i hope this video existed when i was starting out.
Cant stop watching even though i dont have gunpla🥺
After your next build can it be a zaku or a zeon mobile suit please I'm big fan of the principality sieg zeon!
I might have experimented a little to far, I used a nail nipper for one piece of my RX-78 and it had a wicked stress mark
@StudioG pls do a Dynames Custom Build next time
Let's Go!
