Thanks for the vid man. Awesome all around. Your inspiring really. You got me wanting to try my hand at this on a different level. And just so you know I like your channel due to the amount of stuff you fix as well. Steering wheel.. cigarette Burns...etc. Your top notch keep 'em coming!
Awesome Josh, I did this with my new car in January but I was new to ceramic coating so I used the Turtle wax hybrid solutions ceramic coating spray. It turned out well as I followed the instructions to the letter but I definitely want to try a top brand ceramic coating now and your video here is a brilliant “how to” I can’t wait to get everything in and seriously detail my car👍🏾
Awesome! When you go to the full blown ceramics you just have to be careful not to get high spots. Everyone says a certain amount of time between applying and wiping off but it really depends on the conditions you’re working in. I’ve had it where I apply and immediately remove the excess. Test a small panel and see what timing works best!!
Awesome video. I’ve been viewing lots of your videos lately. I have been trying to find the right pressure washer to buy for my personal use. Out of all the pressure washers you’ve used which would you say is your favorite?
The Ryobi 1600psi has been my little work horse for a long time so i really like that one. But the new Active Pressure washer has more psi and gpm and i really like how it performs!!!! But with either unit, i would recommend the aftermarket hoses and wands!
Thanks Josh for another great video. I’ve used your links for the washing stages of a car. I’m practicing that stage before I move on to learning more and feeling comfortable and confident with polishing. I’m sure I’ll go with your suggested products and tools...so far they make sense and seem less marketing driven than some channels. So here’s my question...I watch these polishing videos and see the polishing big surfaces turn out incredible...what I haven’t seen is anyone focus on the hard, tight areas...the front end, back, rocker panels...around lights, logos, handles, mirrors...do those get done with a machine still or do you do those areas by hand if at all? Can you address these areas in a video? Thanks for all your help and excellent, pragmatic lessons!
Awesome work josh! Did you did the two steps with the same compound? Also wanted to know if you have done ceramic coating on mobile works? And if you have what would be that ceramic product?
Yea i did. 3d One with a medium cut pad then 3d One with a finishing pad! I have done ceramic coatings mobile. I always make sure i either have a garage to work in, OR if its like a Sprinter High Roof that cant be inside then i bring someone with me to buff behind me before it flashes too much. I like these coating for mobile: amzn.to/3hyLCuk amzn.to/3kmSVY4 I also love Opticoat... You have to be an approved installer but they use a different curing mechanism that results in a high end coating but without the need of curing lamps
That definitely looks awesome. It's funny how you where setting for maximum air from the compressor dial that seems you didn't believe it was all the way to the maximum. Seems you wanted to strangle more from it. 😄😄
Haha, yeah it just hadnt filled up yet but i do tend to over tighten. Probably not the best for longevity but i like to know its going to give the most air pressure possible
Came out great Josh! Thanks for the helpful tips for polishing. I’m thinking of picking up a polisher. You said you haven’t tried the Bauer from harbor freight, but are there any inexpensive polishers you do recommend?
Yep. i like this one: amzn.to/3mmtAz8 I have that as well as the 1000w version and they are both great and good little workhorses. These are both 15mm orbits which is my favorite. If you go to a 21mm then they can bogg down on curves which means they wont be correcting the paint. The 21s are great for flat surfaces as they will correct faster but i think the 15 is the best all around!!
IMJOSHV - Car Detailing and Reconditioning Tips Thank you , Josh. I’ll look into them! And you pair these up with the Bauer pads you mentioned in this video?
No mine is in an industrial complex (office and warehouse)... But there is a guy south of me in a storage unit haha... Not all of them will accept a business like that though
That would be best for sure. The drive through places use pretty harsh chemicals to break down all of the dirt on the car... that will degrade the coating over time. Also the brushes in the tunnel washes are never good cause they can have dirt in them and then that rubs on your car. If youre in a pinch, chose a touchless drive through. Like i said, the chemicals are still harsh but its better than the ones with the brushes. Heres a great soap to use at home: amzn.to/3fCkGw9

I watched this vid for great information... and I love to look at Porsches
I loved the video! You give such good instructions about what to use and how to use it efficiently.
Glad it was helpful!
Awesome instructional video. I’ve never seen such an amazing deep demonstration of a car detailing process on any video. So professional. Thanks Josh
Glad you enjoyed it!
this is a perfect video from start to finish man. thanks for making this video. will use this for my truck.
Thanks!!!

Another awesome video and results
Thank you so much 😊
That looks awesome!
Thanks Bobby!!!
How is the pressure washer working I was looking at getting the ve52 but they don’t have any in stock so I was wondering how the ve51 should work
I love mine!!! More water flow than the ryobi i use in my mobile set up. Its a great unit!!! amzn.to/3bMK4hj
Looking at the foam in the beginning, who says it doesn’t snow in San Diego lol, car looks beautiful 👍😁
Haha i know i like to load it up with foam!!

I can! Thanks for the idea. There are smaller polishers and even down to 1” pads!!!
Do you have a shop your video out ?
Looks great!

@@imjoshv Does yours have an air release valve underneath so humidity also escapes?
It’s cool to now that there is another option for pads never considered that brand most of the other brands are expensive thanks
Yea no worries!!! I saw them and figured id try them out and was pleasantly surprised!!

This may be a stupid question but did you setup a detailing garage in a storage unit lot. If you did that is totally genius.

LOL, I knew what pressure washer that was as soon as I heard the motor.
haha
I purchased my Porsche Cayman with ceramic. Do I need to hand wash it?
