  • The bike (Bandit 1200 GV75A) is nearly done so we can mount the big rear panel back on. Afterwards we want to prepare the new fuel tank (Old one is rusted all over the place) and move the filler cap. When the tank is mounted on the Suzuki Bandit MY 1997 I do a test run and figure out that now the bike idles pretty badly and shuts itself off. Something strange is going on because before it was running fine. We search for the issue together but what is it??
When the naked bike is running fine WITH the tank on my pulse gets back to regular and we proceed with flushing the front brake and clutch fluid. This bike has no normal clutch with a wire rope so you should replace the clutch fluid (Its normal brake fluid) sometimes as well. This one hasnt been changed forever and so the fluid is very dark with hard particles in it which is very strange.
We do every step together and everything is shown and explained in detail.
I hope you enjoy my video and it helps you to repair your own stuff - because thats my intention! Thank you for watching.

Put the rubber mounting of the tank in the oder direction. The rubber with the cylinder underneath, so the tank will sit on it nicely with it's own weight, makes it a lot easier. The other part (the ring shaped thing) has a direction how it's going on, because it has a conus inside.
PS: First the tank, then the rear fairing, it's much easier and you won't scratch the fairing in the front with the metal lashes on the tank, where the fairing is pushed in.

the fuel level sensor moves very slow, when you refill the tank, but it sticks at the last position you turn off the ignition.

Reservoir of clutch and front brake should be washed out with water. The chunks in it is crystalized brake fluid, will partly desolve in water.
Demount, wash it out, dry it out with compressed air and you're good ;) The windows will be clean after that also, you can use the syringe to put a bit pressure on the water, brake cleaner, WD-40 etc. won't do anything, brake fluid is extremely hygroscopic, as we all know :)
