Nice video. Just subscribed. We do mostly fishing but I'd like to do a few camping trips with the boat. Looked like a nice area where you were at. How much does the tide change there? Is that why you anchored so far out? One more question. What ramps do you use to put the boat in?
Hi friend, we were on the NW side of Anclote Key. Yes, we needed to anchor out a ways because the tide will leave your boat on the ground otherwise. We put in at a boat ramp right near the mouth of the Anclote River. You can camp on the East side of the island but we were looking for places to hang hammocks. That's why we headed to the West.
On the gulfside of Anclote Key just inside the southern end of the designated camping area. There is an area with hundreds of palm trees in one area that we picked out.

I was always under the impression that fires were not permitted on this Island?
It does not say it's prohibited in the State Park Brochure.
How is the mosquitos 🦟????????
Mosquitoes no problem. Noseeums were bad after dark once the breeze settled.
Where did you set up camp?
