I have special Japanese razor for shaving ear holes. It's pretty small size but I always use the same type strap.
When I finish to glind the edge of it, those kind of strap make the edge perfect.

I have a cheap simple strop that doesn’t have a canvas side, just a back side of the leather. Is that ok to put polishing compounds on or is it time for me to upgrade to a real strop?
