On many an occasion Georgie reiterated that he regretted nothing in his life, so we shouldnt feel too sorry thats hes gone. He lived life on his own terms and died the same way. My fater was a Dubliner and I cannot listen to his favorite song "Danny Boy" without crying like a little kid. God rest you George, and Mum and Dad.

George Best was my first hero as a kid and stood there leaps and bounds above even the great Mohammed Ali. I went to the funeral in Belfast booking my flight before I even knew the date. This great song and its significance chills me even to this day.

My dad always tells me how he used to stand in the Stretford end, and on derby day all the city fans would be their having a go at Best before kick off, then during the warm up Best would do some tricks that were literally impossible to do and all the city fans would just be sat their with their head in their hands and elbows resting on the old wall, and literally stare at him with their mouths wide open, totally gobsmacked and amazed by the phenomenon of him.
