Bradley great albums you showed that Aflie by Sonny Rollins I’m still after alone with that Beautiful Freddie Hubbard on Impulse . I was not familiar with the Curtis Amy Way Down I have to add that to my wantlist to get this year . Your collection is beautiful Bradley. Have a wonderful Holiday weekend . Lovellandrew
Lovell, Alfie puts me in a different time and space. Those kind of records are rare, I think. I don’t know how to explain it but I’m sure you know what I mean. You have a Memorial Day also!
Hi Bradley. Jazz tag was designed just for you. I liked that Kenny Burrell album, it looked very interesting. Always loved Maiden Voyage. I find it a peaceful album. Great selection Bradley
I usually have a hard time passing on any Shelly Manne….not a drum solo type of drummer but really creative. The Fuller album sounds nice and has very good orchestration. Have a good round, George.
Wow - a lot of great stuff there Bradley. I'm glad you included Chick's Musician album - great stuff by Chick in a variety of group settings. There's a hole in my heart where Chick used to live - Rip Chick. As always, I enjoy your videos - keep them coming! Bill
Nice tag, Bradley. I think that is the 3rd cover/jacket I've seen for Burrell - Live at the Vanguard. Any of them would be great to have. I need more Shelly Manne in my collection. Cheers! Jeff
Hey Jeff. I believe you that there were probably more than a few covers for the KB album. I’ve been on a Shelly Manne kick for quite awhile. He definitely had his own style of drumming. Take care!
Cool response to this tag Bradley. I really liked your description of the Burrell at the Vanguard record. I'd like to hear that one. I never knew Shirley Scott sang; I'm going to check that out online. Emmet Cohen too.
Randy, On the liner notes it said the producer heard Shirley mess around with a song that she wrote and he urged her to record it. The Cohen and Burrell albums are nice. I like watching Cohen on his live performances. The band has a nice chemistry and personality.
Hey Bradley, that Curtis Amy has been released on CD in Spain as a three album compilation so I would assume this is what Jazz Workshop used to cut this release. Highly unlikely they had access to master tapes without mentioning copyright owners on the cover.
Emil, thanks for the info! I was just going by what was listed in Discogs and they did not list any CD releases of this record. I thought it seemed a little strange. Well, anyhow, I think I paid $26 on Amazon and it sounds good. Thanks!
Hi Bradley. Speaking about albums or artists that should be more recognizable, if you haven't you should check Mezz Mezzrow music. He was mainly a clarinetist. I bought one of his last albums from the 50's. He seems to be forgotten but definitely worth listening. And he was a very interesting person.
Bradley great picks brother

Hey Steve. The Burrell LP is quite laidback but you can almost imagine him playing in the club. Yes, Maiden Voyage is so good. Talk to you later.
Very glad to see you back around with a great video!!! Missed ya. Had a good time watching this. Hope you’re good! Xo Ambie
Hey Ambie. Thanks for the comments. I’m doing okay although sometimes I wonder. Have a great week!
Good job Bradley, nice selections you picked out.
Thanks Dave. Hope your weather is not unbearable (yet!)
Great effort Bradley. Nice Curtis fuller lp and Shelly Mann record fab Tina brooks lp. Well done.

Bill, the Chick LP is indeed a great live performance. There are so many good musicians on it. Thanks.

Kamil, I’ll definitely check this out. I’m always interested in music that ai have not heard. It certainly a memorable name! Thanks for comment.
