- Regina Nathan singing Sweet Heart of Jesus, from Faith of Our Fathers concert, filmed in the Point Theatre in Dublin1997.
Sweet Heart of Jesus, font of love and mercy
Today we come, Thy blessing to implore.
Oh touch our hearts, so cold and so ungrateful
And make them Lord, Thine own for evermore.
Sweet Heart of Jesus we implore,
Oh make us love Thee more and more.
Sweet Heart of Jesus, make us pure and gentle
And teach us how to do Thy blessed will;
To follow close the print of Thy dear footsteps
And when we fall, Sweet Heart, oh love us still.
Sweet Heart of Jesus we implore,
Oh make us love Thee more and more.
Beautifully sung. Wish I could hear these beautiful hymns more and more.
Fabulous!!! Simply fabulous!!!
Would love to hear this done at Mass today

Regina Nathan can move hearts of Presidents towards her songs, hymns by the gentleness of her Opera. (Her own gentle voice sound and interpretive style.)
A magnificent version of this great old catholic hymn
What a beautiful rendition by a talented artist.
A great hymn we used to sing at mass years ago...hardly ever sung now.
This is a truly magnificent performance of a wonderful hymn with a great orchestral arrangement. I never tire of listening to this version. I love this hymn and I live Regina singing it.

She makes it look like nothing is coming from her mouth. Beautiful!
How wonderful. What a fabulous singer Regina !Thank you so much. It's the month of June now and this hymn is dedicated to the Sacred Heart.
Those last words sung by Miss Nathan, Ireland's Opera Soprano, with the whole meaning of the Catholic hymn in her voice at that very end of hymn is a beautiful sound to the ear, as music is the sound we will hear in heavenly voices one day, and, hopefully here on earth in hymn and then, hopefully in heaven, softly, and, gentle, one day; and, the soft orchestra music is the sound of the instruments of the Lord to bring us all happiness in a song of music, the hymn.
the most beautiful hymn, and wonderfully sung. a true gift to have a voice like that
She is a Queen!
I love this she has a beautiful voice
Incredible performance
Mount Saint Mary's in Leeds England in the 1950's came back in a flash when hearing this wonderful hymn. Alas the Catholic population moved away eventually and that great church is now derelict. However, the wonderful faith lives on and is more relevant today than ever. I thank God for Catholicism.

Yeh, your story mimics my childhood, mine was back in Manchester in the early 1950s, we also moved away and now my old church Corpus Christi has been demolished but I can never forget my Catholic faith, it also seems a shame because a lot our our hymns we sang back then you hardly ever hear now, also after Vatican 11 we stopped singing a lot our our hymns in Latin which was a shame.
Me too. Amen 🙏

I heard Regina Nathan's voice on Dutch TV about 5 or 6 years ago, and I instantly fell in love with that rich tone combined with the completely effortless and smooth top register. I found her on the internet, eventually, but there was no complete recording of any of her performances available online, until the moment you uploaded this.
Inspiring.....Oh for grace to love Him more and more! Thanks.

Nice👍👏👏👏👏
The last three song-filed words--an auria? Beautiful sound to a blessed hymn.
some singers sings religious songs as bloody pop songs in order to appeal to a younger generation.
this version is classical. oh, please, keep it that way!!
Thank you Regina.
When creation was begin
You can't kill a good tune!
Wonderful
What a grand orchestral arrangement. And what a peaceful ending! Who is the arranger?
Such A BEAUTIFUL LADY AND EQUALY BEAUTIFUL VOICE , WHERE IS SHE NOw?
Unfortunately this Hymn is becoming less and less popular. Produced in the Nineteenth Century when Devotion to St Margeret Marys vision of the Sacred Heart was promoted to the faithful this Hymn was standard at School and Church. The tune is typical of the sentimentality of Catholic Hymn tunes of its era and would have been known to most Catholics in the British Isles
The point seemed so much smaller than that when I was in it!
Can we ever find what has been lost ?
Yes indeed...soon...😇...fir details email me in manuschristi@hotmail.com...
i love this song.i may get this music ?.somebody help me write down those words .public to youtube. i will sing it. appreciate.God bless you.
Opera is like French nails, Hail Redeemer.
Why can't President Putin of Russia hear this Opera Soprano, Miss Regina Nathan, of Ireland, although her appearance seems as if she is a Roman Lady of that era of Christ, as I am sure she would have helped the early Christians as a Christian,(maybe Russell Crowe may have an interest in Opera? Gladiator Film) especially beautiful the hymn Sweet Heart of Jesus and Hail Holy Queen Hymn? He Vladimir Putin, loves Opera, so the documentary said. And, Frank Patterson, Opera Tenor, Flowers of the Rarest?
