- He's back!
By popular request, my friend Marvin sat down with me to tell me more about his adventures in Vietnam and the U.S. Marines. He begins by telling us about his service with Lt. Charles Krulak (son of General Victor "Brute" Krulak), who would later become Commandant of the Marine Corps.
This is Part 1. More videos of Marvin to be uploaded soon.
I could sit here for hours listening to this man!
Y’all need to make a whole channel based off of just him telling stories
I second your statement, any stories that aren't told are lost to time. Although there are some stories better left untold, I still think its precious enough to hear about a Veteran's perspective of the war. Something money definitely can't buy, or bring back.
The channel owner should do this. Let their stories be available. I'd rather hear from them than Hollywood about the conflict.
No thanks we don't need to hear more of these stories.
my grandpa served in Vietnam and he got drunk at the bar and next to the bar was a little wood carving shop and he stumbled in and started to ask for something but then passed out with his middle finger out and when he woke up he was laying in the street with a few bucks missing from his pocket and there was a exact wooden replica of his hand doing the middle finger laying next to him and we still have it
Thank you for your service sir!
One of the best story tellers on the internet
I was so exited to see more of marvin
Thank you so much for more Marvin time!!!! I love his story telling and personality!
Marvin's stories are very historically educational, I never knew about the bases they built Specifically for the Vietnamese villagers and that snakes killed soldiers and Vietnamese more commonly than Vietcong. Waiting more of Marvin's great stories and it would be great to hear from friends he was stationed with and here there great stories. Historic stories like these need to be recorded to show in the future when they no longer are here to tell us them selves, So thank you Bret for this Document and hope more to come
It’s nasty what The Vietcong did to snakes to make them into a booby trap.
@@DYLANKNAPP94 who cares about snakes?
F snakes!!!!
Awesome stuff, all the stories this man has to tell, appreciate you posting them. The last set of stories had me and my buddy rolling, the misadventures of Little Huey and the orangutan especially.
Tell Marvin we need more stories. We love this stuff!
I wish I could.
@@BretDouglas Did he pass Bret?
@@1969tss Sadly, yes.

I have nothing but RESPECT for this man. My Grand Father was in the marine core during Vietnam , wonder if he knows him or not.
I’d love to hear more story’s if Marvin wants to tell them, absolutely amazing what these men did and it’s a shame some of the story’s will be lost forever and never told again
This old bloke is the BEST!
Man I love him. Really looking forward to hearing more stories from him. What a great guy.
No way! I just watched the last video, and im so happy you posted this just a day ago! Good timing. God bless his soul
Also, please tell Marvin that I and I'm sure many others think that he is a GREAT story teller! His first video, I was laughing my ass off. I laughed more than any purpose made comedic videos on here. I'd love to hang out with Marvin, only if. Again, god bless him.
Hope you enjoyed it!
I can tell you, sitting down, talking with a elder person hours is an amazing experience, you will learn alot, especially with someone like this.
This is why social media is great sometimes....I'm glad he's back
great recall thanks for sharing your experience. Semper Fi,
I asked a friend for any good Nam stories. He was a medic. He said one day they got orders to go into this village and inoculate for smallpox. A good will mission. A few days later they went back and saw a fire burning in the center of the street. It was the arms of villagers burning, cut off by the VC.
Ive waiting two years for my friend to come back thank you for your storys🙏
My dad was a navy seal during Vietnam

Listening to this via Headphone. It's great but PLEASE stop opening and closing the Velcro straps in the background. That noise is really distracting…
This guy must have been in Korea for all the festivities, bet he is about 85?
No, just Vietnam. He was born in 1942.

Dang, He looks like he's aged about 50 years in 3 years he looked like he was in his 40's in the last one
I can't even remember why the US started the Vietnam war. Talking about a un unjust war.
If you can read, you may want to pick up a history book.
