Did a 2 week vacation that covered Scotland, England and Ireland in 2013. Stayed in Edinburgh 2 nights and we happened upon the museum early one morning on our way to the castle. Basically had the place to ourselves. Went up to the roof top terrace to enjoy to sun, fresh air and amazing view. All of the sudden, bagpipes from the streets below. It literally brought me to tears. One of my favorite memories of the entire trip.
Okey thanks. Just 5mins alright.. is the path friendly for kid and baby stroller or wheelchair to calton hill? Is there specific best time to visit there?
The main path up to Calton Hill involves a set of stairs, so would not be suitable for strollers or wheelchairs. There are other routes that are more accessible but as it is a hill, it might be quite strenuous to walk up with a stroller or wheelchair. You can also call for a taxi or Uber to take you to the top. If it is a clear day, it’s usually nice to visit Calton Hill at sunset. Hope this helps!
I’m going to be in Edinburgh in about two weeks. I’ll be there for 3 1/2 days. I’m watching many of your great videos. I like your presentation style.
Thank you so much! Hope you have a great time in Edinburgh when it comes!
