just finished the 3POA podcast, came back to this video to refresh my memory, I started in the middle of the pc so will re-watch the whole thing later, cheers bro! lets go 15K subs!
That sucks that happened on a brand new figure. I like the way you expressed your grievance. No Action figure is perfect. Without honest reviews and constructive criticism then corrections, improvements and adjustments can't be made to give us better products in the future. So far the only issue I have had is one of my riot troopers came with two left cupping hands. I did receive an extra magazine leg pouch in one of my Urban Assault gear packs. No breakages or defects yet.
I will say, the weapons packs are awesome. I bought the three available so far to use with my Deadpool Marvel Legends and they're fantastic. (I got mine through BBTS and the Pile of Loot, so shipping wasn't an issue).
Damn man! I wish you guys were back at peace. Two of my favorite reviewers. Thanks for sharing this video. I want the green ones. I have two of them on preorder with two weapons packs. BBTS taking forever.
What up man great review. I don't know why I didn't think about getting helmets to go with my Flag troop builders. They look great now I'm going to look for some and when I post I'll give shoutout for the idea.
Nice review my guy. I have to agree with you on the negatives. Including a handgun and a leg holster would have been perfect. I also noticed the level of rigidness with the plastic. It does not move smoothly right out the package like Classified, and yes some people are having breaks. As a matter of fact, Valaverse guns are also much more rigid and they can also be snapped if your not careful or if they get too cold and then you put stress on them. I now have 7 AF figs and thank goodness I haven't had any breaks. I love the line and the troopers are a godsend for customs and such. They just maybe need to revisit some of the materials they use.
Sill waiting on my orders of valaverse figures from last year... couple of questions: [1] what other lines, if any, do the valaverse heads fit on without nodding (e.g. classified figures, ML figures, articulated icons, power rangers, etc.)? [2] is 8:48 an image with multiple rick flag bucks from the first s.squad movie? I recall picking up a couple from 5 below sometime last year (...yeah, way late as I think most stores discontinued the line a couple years prior), with plans to custom with some M.A.S.K. colored paint schemes, and getting surprisingly disappointed with the hip articulation when taking the first out of package. Haven't revisited since, but that pic seems to demonstrate more articulation than I recall. ...I miss the time(s) when 5below sold 6inch figures. I only recently got into the thought of troop building, and that's a nice price to do it at.
I have used a heat gun on each of the Action Force figures I have received and after heating them up and moving the joints around they eventually loosened up. I think I got lucky ordering from Valverse as they sent me 2 of the same order, got an extra Steel Brigade out of it so I won't complain. These figures are nice and the articulation is pretty good, I just hope that we won't have to heat up the next series figures, maybe just a series 1 issue, stay positive brother even though you got a defective one. The only issue I have is with the Urban Gear Pack that I got for my Urban Trooper, the vest that comes in the pack is almost impossible to get on and secure, securing the two straps is an endless fight, so if you get any figure that has a tactical vest on DO NOT remove it or you are going to have a long night trying to get it back secured to no avail.
I really appreciate that yea im staying positive as i said im the video the figures are great and hopefully its just a wave 1 issue. Im glad you didn't have any issues at all you even got some free goodies that's dope man i appreciate your positivity thank you for sharing it. 🙏✊ respect
Not even one gun or a knife. Yet they probably expect you to shell out $14 or so for the weapon pack? They are going to be more expensive than the Joes.
I had a gang of these on order. But I decided to fallback to see if this upcharged figure was worth the ticket. Saw a few with too hiccups. So as far as this line goes. Pick and choose your purchase. But this goes for all figures. Hell I just got that No Guns Life figure and the arm just broke off out the pack. But bbts held me down.
I wanted the Swarm trooper but it's sold out everywhere and scalped for $200 with the rest of wave 1. My wasp raider (the equivalent of a swarm trooper officer) came without any shipping notices a few weeks ago and it has some significant paint app issues with the yellow, when some select reviewers had it months before and it was perfect. I got this riot trooper from a hobby shop that ordered and got in some stock of them weeks ago. When they initially went up online they were like 16 or 17 dollars which is legit for blank figures. I remember them saying once wave 1 sells out it won't restock ever which is what really gets me. The cupped hands in this line are great, works wonders for natural sitting poses lmao. The places near me that ordered stock of the generic troopers are completely sold out now but were still going by the old price. I really like how these things look and have to say even with the issues the wasp raider was worth the $40 I paid for him. Shame that everything else sold out online and my only option to get some swarm guys or main characters from wave 1 is the rare ghost of a chance of potentially seeing them in a hobby store near me like the riot trooper.
Yea the wasp looks good. I hope your able to find more, outside of more basic blue troopers I'm just gonna wait for the female troopers. Thanks for sharing your experience I was reading wondering where your valaverse experience was gonna go.
These troopers are just okay. They're not great, but they're not shitty either. Personally, none of the first wave figures "wowed" me. I ordered both Sarge's, but my favorite Sarge to use with my Joe's is still the Elite WWE Sarge with Camo. I am looking forward to wave two of this line, because I will buy a few lady-verse figs, so I can do to them what I did to the Lady Jaye Buck . . . NO, not REMOTELY what you guys are THINKING! I did about four lady Joe customs with the Lady Jaye Buck. THAT figure has been a God-Send figure. I made a Cover Girl, a Dialtone's Daughter figure, a Oktober Guard Dana, a Gunner Commando, and a female tracker using a Dani Moonstar headsculpt. I'm hoping to get a few more lady Joe's off of the Valaverse lady-buck.
Wish they looked a little more matted with the paint. That shiny blue really screams plastic to me. But I ordered 2 of the green Delta Troopers to be my regular grunts for my Joe's.
ordered first Valaverse figure from company . . . ankle snapped like a twig with little resistance . . . will ask company for replacement leg - thank you !
I ordered from BBTS, I don’t mind the wait. If it breaks , I can always return it to BBTS and not deal with Bobby. These are GIJoe knockoffs , it’s 1/12 Corps dude , Neca plastic breaking shit. Thanks for the honest review .
(insert cuss word here) That sucks that your figure broke like a twig, but hopefully you get it resolved without no problems. I will say that was well a brutally honest review on this trooper and I have no qualms with this series and Mr. Vala we all need some healthy competition.
I just stumbled upon this video. I figured I would put in my 2 cents. For the Valaverse figures you gotta heat things up before use. Then they should be fine. It’s like the Neca figures. I always use hot water. A hair dryer might melt the plastic if used excessively. I use all precautions. Just my opinion. Anyone can disagree. Everyone is entitled to their opinion.
I like that the Valaverse guy didn't ignore the issues. NECA or Super7 would never admit that any QC issues exist. I will be happy to support this line if the QC is better on series 2. IMO if the QC is bad on series 2 this line is DOA.
I 100 percent agree, Its good to see not everyone is valablind lol, sure there's and issue even the company acknowledges it, its a new company I understand hopefully everything is smooth next go round but these valaverse figs are amazing still.
7 months later, just bought my 1st action force troopers (restock on BBTS), same issue. Tried heating, shock oil, no luck, drop downs wont move, and plastic is beginning to get stress marks. Thats a serious bummer. Did Valaverse do anything for you?
Gotta warm and be careful with the accessories too. I bought the exclusive weapon set and the stock of one of the guns broke when it just touched the figure's bicep
💯 with that neck joint. I hate that old legends style forward/back but besides that figure are pretty good. I opened/posed 5 of them luckily no breaks.
It looks like you could pin the leg back on. Just use a drimmel to make holes in the broken area on the leg and body. Then you can superglue a paper clip or get pins at a hobby store into the holes. There are youtube videos on how to do it.
You’re very honest in this review, despite the busted leg…make that damaged figure someone who stepped on a landmine or made Wolverine mad. 😆 The hard plastic is odd but perhaps there’s a reason they use it but does that make it break easier? Not sure but that plastic seems shiny which can make a figure look cheap. One thing I do know is you’re 100% right, one simple handgun is needed for this figure. It costs next to nothing & a troop guy should come with one.
Hello my friend great video. I'm a collector also not so big as you but I am and I want to know what do you mean? by" I warmed it up first" please explain thanks a lot man ☀️🐺🌙🐺🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 WE ROCK!!!!!!
Warm up the figure in really warm water so the plastic can loosen up, or use a hair dryer on the low setting for a few seconds, there's videos on UA-cam you can look it up step by step
Nah they awesome figures. I have 19 and love them all. You just need to spend three minutes or so after your first open them up either with a hairdryer or give him a hot bath.
I always felt a bit awkward about seeing all these high stress, teeny-tiny, PLASTIC joints. It does not matter if its Valaverse, GIJoe, Joy Toy, various anime/manga figures... At least Classic GIJoe "hip bones" were metal. Forged or pressure cast, I think. They ARE stupidly durable. You really had to abuse them for a LONG time to break them. You were more likely to break the plastic of the figure than the Hip Bone and plastic is usually some of the most robust plastic ever used for a toy I have ever known. I'm not sure if existing lines can upgrade future output with these metal hip bones, but they need to.
J'aime ses figurines action force j'arrête les marvel legends maintenant c'est gi joe et action force bonne critique dommage qu'ils viennent sans armes
Please. Ive broken significantly more GI Joe Classified figures right out of the box.. than the ZERO action Force figures that have ever broken on me. Its kind of crazy that im the only person who uses a drop of silicon oil in the leg joints. No heating required ever again.
Im glad you didnt condemn the figure or even the whole series because of your one bad experience because proof is there, your other copy was fine. Ive seen reviewers go off on a particular figure because of a QC issue and say "dont buy it" instead of the more neutral "buyer beware" warning because not every figure is going to have the same problem unless it's a rampant issue. A bad batch? sure but eventually the companies get wind of the problem and fix it for the next run. It sucks stuff like this happens but not every product is 100% QC issue-free.
They sent out a press release paper with there figures saying they running into some quality issues since the plastic was so cold from shipping process. So they recommend you warm it up before you use it. But yea the consumers shouldn't have to do that at all.
@@ArticulatedNinja I'm glad I stuck with a few weapons packs. Not to knock AF, but honestly in a few years this will likely be forgotten without being put at some form of retail.
man these things are... rough.. and I hate that kind of hard shiny plastic. Def save my money for Joes. You know later Bobby is going to come out and say yeah those 1st waves were pretty rough we've improved them by a mile with wave 6 or whatever it will be. Save your $$$ wait till they make a better product.
Yeah that dumb "whaaaat's up...." bullcrap is when action figure influencers try to imitate Shitimus Prime to try to get a piece of that half million bot loaded subscriber count. Great review! Really appreciate the no shill honesty. Hope Valaverse replaces your figure for you.
So you spent a fair amount of the video talking about the breakage, which I'm sorry that happened to you, but you kept coming back saying that the line is great. What's great about it? Cupped hands? I feel like I didn't really get a sense of why you think these figures are worth the investment. The video didn't really give me much to work with as far as why I should think it's great.
You shouldn't, im not trying to sell anyone one the figures but i think there great even with the issues in wave 1. They have a good fun factor for me personally.
@@ArticulatedNinja if you good put the figure through it's paces a bit more during the review, that would help me get a better sense of what's likeable.
Figures sell themselves. Just buy one and see for yourself! I’m just a poor dude who buys what he can when possible. No affiliation to anyone. Great figs for customs
Marvel Legends also break all the time and people still eat whatever hasbro sells them lol, these figures look great for the stop motions I plan on making
The plastic compound they used isn’t durable against weather changes. Which has potential for snaps. Also I’m sick of seeing that ugly ass marvel legends ankle rocker.
@@ArticulatedNinja yeah, they need to execute a better ankle rocker model. McFarlane is a great example of what to replicate. Except for the flimsy toe hinge.
😂 hey man customizing the fig has nothing to do with throwing in one basic gun. No matter how u customize the figure itself the accessories that go with it will still be guns lol not boxing gloves spears swords. All gun holding hands meaning the main weapons to go with the figure no matter the kit bash will be a gun.
@@ArticulatedNinja Actually, customization is the whole point of that figure. It is not meant to be a stand alone figure. It’s the equivalent of the naked figures you can buy on BBTS. Bobby even said in an interview that he looked forward to what people can build with these. This figure would be better in the store crafting isle than the toy section. Giving it a gun is unnecessary because they sale the gun lots. The whole point is to give people opinions, which is the great part of Valaverse offering this type of “naked” figure, so to speak. I wouldn’t mind a gun of course, but I never thought as a customizer myself that one was needed. It’s meant to be a crafting item.
😂 I bought the baseline figure for $23 (msrp) and compared it to another $23 (msrp) figure 😂 why would I compare a 40+ dollar figure to a $23 figure. I compared there basic lowest price figure with another companies basic lowest price figure, You on the other hand want hasbro's basic figure compared to valaverse's deluxe figure, yea makes sense 🤔👍 😂
@@ArticulatedNinja I'm not talking about for comparison purposes. I'll leave that to content creators. 🤣 I find it odd that your complaint about Acton Force was that it didn't come with accessories. You ordered the figure that... came with no accessories. 🤔 You knew what you were getting into when you made your purchase. About 4 years ago, I bought a new car. Guess what I never complain about? I never complain that it didn't come with leather seats, a sunroof, heated seats, or remote start. Why do I never complain about that? Because I bought a that didn't come with with leather seats, a sunroof, heated seats, or remote start.🤣 Still, if you want to do comparisons between the two lines strictly selecting based on price point doesn't seem valid. Valaverse is never going to be able to match the price of a multi-billion dollar corporation like Hasbro. Instead, pick comparable figures based on scale, posability, sculpt, paint apps and the number of and quality of accessories. That seems likes the best way to meet the needs of viewers.
@@timothyward8695 😂 I also said multiple times comparisons shouldn't be made its not "valid" or fair to the little guy guess you missed those parts lol I stayed positive about the line overall don't know why you seem so bothered about it, but hey man I hope your happy in life its just toys literally not that serious thanks for sharing your views and car buying experience.
@@ironken3000 dudes is crazy making any excuses for a company charging $30 in total for a basic figure made to shoot without one pistol 😂😂 guess if I want at least 1 gun for a gun shooting figure i gotta buy a 13 dollar weapons pack lol = $43 total after shipping for a basic blue trooper with guns lol Ken make that make sense 🤔🤔
So this is the video that gave us guns with the basic troopers in Action Force. Great to witness a toy line history.

Ship it back to the company and see if you get a replacement what will you loose make it aware …
man these things are... rough.. and I hate that kind of hard shiny plastic. Def save my money for Joes. You know later Bobby is going to come out and say yeah those 1st waves were pretty rough we've improved them by a mile with wave 6 or whatever it will be. Save your $$$ wait till they make a better product.
Good point, I can see that happening as well
Yeah I hate that hard shiny plastic as well.
For the price id keep em in the box
PAIN
Damn lol but hey u help improve
Facts 👌🏽
Yeah that dumb "whaaaat's up...." bullcrap is when action figure influencers try to imitate Shitimus Prime to try to get a piece of that half million bot loaded subscriber count. Great review! Really appreciate the no shill honesty. Hope Valaverse replaces your figure for you.
Thanks i appreciate that
So you spent a fair amount of the video talking about the breakage, which I'm sorry that happened to you, but you kept coming back saying that the line is great.
C o p e
The plastic compound they used isn’t durable against weather changes. Which has potential for snaps. Also I’m sick of seeing that ugly ass marvel legends ankle rocker.
😂 damn you tired of that ankle rocker i wasnt expecting it to be that specific
@@ArticulatedNinja yeah, they need to execute a better ankle rocker model. McFarlane is a great example of what to replicate. Except for the flimsy toe hinge.
First.
The figures without weapons are made to be customized. That is why they do not have weapons.
It’s meant to be a crafting item.
looking back, this video aged well for being series 1 and how the line has surpassed joes on price, accessories, proper qc
Delusional
Did you just buy the base line model of a figure and complain that it wasn't deluxe? You want accessories, buy the figures that have accessories.
Because I bought a that didn't come with with leather seats, a sunroof, heated seats, or remote start.🤣
Still, if you want to do comparisons between the two lines strictly selecting based on price point doesn't seem valid. Valaverse is never going to be able to match the price of a multi-billion dollar corporation like Hasbro. Instead, pick comparable figures based on scale, posability, sculpt, paint apps and the number of and quality of accessories. That seems likes the best way to meet the needs of viewers.
@@ArticulatedNinja you already know how these dudes be 😁
@@timothyward8695 😂 I also said multiple times comparisons shouldn't be made its not "valid" or fair to the little guy guess you missed those parts lol I stayed positive about the line overall don't know why you seem so bothered about it, but hey man I hope your happy in life its just toys literally not that serious thanks for sharing your views and car buying experience.
