*I bought this trike so I could play outside with my 3 children. Tricycle **Latest.Bike** is well built and fun to ride. Great purchase overall!*

ICE Trikes have a idler gear under the seat. This guides the chain on it's long travel. It also eliminates the issue of chain misalignment between front and rear chain rings. My ICE Trice (much like the Sprint) has very smooth shifting with Shimano XT rear 9 speed derailleur. The front shifting is very smooth as well.
Finally, I have the standard drum breaks and love them. They offer confident breaking in any weather with almost no maintenance required.

A V-Brake is only available as a parking break which is only used when already at a stand-still. We fit drum or disc brakes as the primary brakes. Both work extremely well. The elastomer suspension is simple yet effective. Although its lighter than all other rear-suspension trikes it still adds a little weight compared to the unsuspended model. We would always advise finding your local ICE Dealer and going for a test ride.

I brought a brand new Ice Sprint and it was lovely. Had to sell it though as got numb feet and recumbent butt. Then I got the Ice Adventure with the bottom bracket and seat height the same. No more issues! Both lovely trikes but make sure you are okay with the sprint bottom bracket height which is several inches higher than the seat. You can't really adjust those issues away (in all cases) by changing seat angle. Try both, then buy.

Very good information and something to think about. Obviously when you test ride there's isnt anyway to know if the bb/ seat angle will be an problem without time riding and get acquainted with the trike. Ill be paying attention when I retest ride again...thanks

Is it possible to fit an electric motor/battery set-up to these trikes without fouling the folding mechanism?

I hooked a RideKick electric trailer to my ICE Adventure - you can ride without any assist if you feel like it or accelerate easily up hills or across intersections. Works great and gives you a dry trailer area for tools or rain gear. No issues with trike - trailer hooks onto rear drive wheel in seconds or is easily removed to use on another bike if you want!

Could do with a newer video ICE. There's been a few changes since this one was made.

So when do they make a trike that someone can afford, I might be wrong but seems to me it would be easier to sell say a lot of $200 trikes than it would be to sell one several thousand dollar trike I've noticed living here Florida when you see a trike it's usually in the upper class areas and the 25+ age range, car an motorcycle drivers most who don't need or want a bike or trike. Here's my though I would if I were a betting man bet that as soon as one of the Big Chain store's start selling say a $200 trike or recumbent type bike all the high dollar trike / recumbent selling store's will be a thing of the past, their loss, yeah keep the nice expensive stuff for a certain clientele but at least put out a anybody can afford ride so that the lower income kids and adults can have alternative means of transportation....I don't know just a thought.

I dont mean to be critical Frank , but these days 200 dollars is not going to get you much mate , you may get a kiddies little all plastic toy trike , but an engineered piece of equipment like a trike or even a quality bike is not like throwing together a hamburger at maccas ,
there is a lot of labor involved and a lot of parts .
you will never see a proper trike for 200 dollars in a big wallmart/kmart/target or whatever they are called in your neck of the woods , or mine for that matter .
where i live , an ok run of the mill 700c bike tyre is between 30 and 80 bucks , and can be more , a litre of metallic paint is probably over $50 .
200 bucks is not worth much these days , hell i paid 110 dollars for two quality pedals .
This is the world we live in mate , everything costs ..

I currently ride a Triton Pro. I paid just over $300 for it and have been riding it for 7 years with over 10,000 miles on it. I made a lot of adjustments and added custom parts to suite my desires.

Very good concept for those who are older, over weight, and certain health issues and so on. I would love to own one but I can't justify the high-priced American greed for exercise purpose.
