Love the vibe of this video! So chill!!! I just wrapped up a 3 month course for phlebotomy, and taking the certification exam next week! Can't wait to start!
I’m a Phleb and one thing I wish we could do was pull off the lines. Typically the nurse will as a last resort and as you know some patients are just hard sticks! Great content thanks for sharing!!
How hard are the classes? I’m super bad with memory, but I’m really interested in becoming a phlebotomist within the next few years. Also the job itself, is it difficult?
my country makes interns do all the phlebotomy in the hospital and they dont train it in med school at all lol, so sorry for the patients (we only have cheap syringes and sometiems only large bore needles)
Hey girl, how much do you get paid hourly? If you don’t mind me asking. Or in other words- what’s the starting salary range for a phlebotomist in the hospital?Would you recommend working at a hospital or clinic? How long are your shifts? Thank you 😊😊😊
Interesting look at night shift, neat looking hospital. I know things in everyday life can be dirty but I’d figure that hospitals are more sterile, that just me 😅
I need job as a Phlebotomist my total experience is 3+ years and right now am working in india can anybody give me reference for job please i will be very excited to get job opportunity
@@Michellecarterj were you working at the hospital already before you started the course? If so, what did you do? I’m looking to get certified somewhere and I didn’t realize hospitals offer that
I’ve always wanted to go into this career, and soon as I finally wanted to go to school, here comes covid and now I’m scared to work so closely to people. How do you feel about it? Are you scared ?
They allow phlebotomist to draw from a line? Is that a state by state thing cause I thought only nurses could do that? I always never understand when people say “hospital clean” I laugh lol
Hey hey! Just curious is being a phlebotomist super stressful? I’m gonna be starting classes very soon and i just wanna know if you do a lot of computer work and a lot of charting and phone calls? Is the job itself hard or is it pretty smooth and easy, i just hate doing a lot of computer work and a lot of phone calls😭😂
It can be! But the only thing that we would do was scan patients arm bands, take samples, scan them into the computer then send them off to the lab. Once you got the hang of things it became a lot smoother. But ever facility could be different! Hope this helps :)
Yes girl go for it! Tbh my first few months were a struggle lmao! I actually had to get retrained because I was so bad 😭once you find what works for you It becomes easier.
She has that advanced & "Well Funded" Phlebotomy cart, if you saw mine well it's been recently updated but in no way compares, LOL.
I start my job as an overnight phlebotomist on 10/24 and I need alllll the info and advice! Thanks for the video

Great video it's rare to find good videos on day in a life of whatever healthcare video I'm watching.
Your job looks really interesting, I am thinking about doing the course too.

Hey I was just wondering what the starting pay is at your hospital and what the hours are like? Please get back, thank you!!

Does a phlembotomist processor do the same thing as a phlembotomist or do they only work in the lab at hospitals?
What state are you in where phlebotomist are drawing from lines? I’m my state it’s a Nurse job only
Michigan
You're allowed to draw from lines? Was that an ok from the hospital or did you need extra training to be able to do that?
Do you still do phlebotomy? I’m taking my class now and I’m super excited

In Georgia 3-6 week courses ranges from 800-1200 from what I’ve researched

I believe it varies on the hospital. Their are other hospitals in my area that nurses are the only ones who pull from lines!
