+TheAdam159 There's a definite resemblance there. I remember this cue is hard to hear in the film under the sound effects - it sounds really good by itself.
The OHMSS theme was ingenious for its time, considering most Bond films have a song intro credit but somehow a completely instrumental theme still stands well on its own amongst the other Bond credit songs. ReAdapting it into other works is so great and I love when they do that in Bond films, like the Moonraker Amazon chase which uses musical cues from From Russia With Love
It’s that guitar that makes it, giving it that 80’s flavour!! Plus AVTAK is one of my favourite bond films, great soundtrack, great action scenes and one of the best bond villains in Zorin!!
This is not my favorite James Bond movie by any means (and definitely not in the upper tier), but this is one of the best musical themes John Barry ever composed for the series.
Moore definitely suited it, but I reckon Dalton could have been just as good, if not better (with no worries about that age gap lol) Damn though, Moore's surgery made him look older for sure
R.I.P Roger Moore, Tanya Roberts, and John Barry I miss Roger Moore, Tanya Roberts, and John Barry so much and A View To A Kill along with Rambo: First Blood Part II are both the most underappreciated films of 1985. Roger Moore was a brilliant and great James Bond actor, I grew up with Roger Moore as James Bond, and A View To A Kill was a great end to the Roger Moore Bond Era. I also love both Tanya Roberts and John Barry. Tanya Roberts was a very good bond girl as Stacey Sutton, the chemistry between Roger Moore and Tanya Roberts was pretty good in A View To A Kill, and John Barry did an excellent job with the music scores of my favorite bond films like Goldfinger, You Only Live Twice, On Her Majesty's Secret Service, A View To A Kill, and The Living Daylights.
I would listen to this soundtrack on my stereo. My dad would pop his head in and ask what movie I was watching. So I had to listen to it when he wasn’t home. 😆
Easily one of my favorite James Bond themes, even if the film itself is a bit lacking. RIP John Barry Does anyone know who the guitar player on this is?
@@TaylorTCarlson Which is a pity. The film is much better than its reputation. The plot is actually quite good, the villain is awesome, the action scenes are actually quite nice despite Roger Moores old age, and the practical effects hold up very well to this date. I actually prefer A View To A Kill over Octopussy. AVTAK has a better score, a better villain and there are no scenes with Bond in a clown costume.
@@niels25chr1 - I prefer just about any Bond film over Octopussy. While I don't live AVTAK, I won't deny Christopher Walken is a bad-ass villain, and Grace Jones does great with what she's given.
Parts of the movie where this music appears: 1. When James Bond is in the snow (which is at the beginning of the movie). 2. When the bad guys enter Stacey Sutton's house. 3. When they escape from the police James and Stacey in a fire truck. 4. When they fight on a bridge with Max Zorin (which is the penultimate part of the movie).
R.I.P. Tanya Roberts! One of my favorite James Bond girls.
For me the 1st Bond Girl i ever See!
sounds similar to Barry's OHMSS theme. That is to say, awesome. Barry was THE definitive Bond composer. His scores were just brilliant

Yes, the bass line is from the OHMSS theme.

Yes, cause he is skiing.
And when you put them together ua-cam.com/video/C2GS6kfkTUE/v-deo.html

In defense of the film I have enjoyed it every time I watched it. Score is great but when is Barry not?
This was pretty good for Moore. It had less silliness and serious ending. Except for the 60 year old Bond and 20 year old woman.
Moore definitely suited it, but I reckon Dalton could have been just as good, if not better (with no worries about that age gap lol)
Damn though, Moore's surgery made him look older for sure
Top tier for me!

The Lazenby shoutout, this Bond track is legendary
The guitar sounds so good
Amazing Music. old bond movies really had good Soundtrack compare to new Bond movies.
Really Agree with you !
The soundtack of old James Bond are better ! Thanks for J.Barry !
true that when i hear this song it allways puts a smile on my face :)
They still make Bond movies? Thought those stopped when Barry did...
@@namelessjedi2242 Should have stopped when Mr Broccoli died. His daughter is not doing good work, Nepotism has its limits.

Does anyone know who the guitar player on this is?
Guitar here reminds of the sirens we can hear in san francisco roads during the chase in the movie
There was a heck of a crowd on the piste!
Brilliant sound track ❤❤
This music fits to chases, fight scenes and shooting scenes all perfect!!
This action theme is so overlooked. I don´t know why.
Probably because a lot of people aren't big on the film, so they tend to overlook its damn good John Barry score.

John Barry was the best, he was the DNA
He was the best British Music Composer
My favorite theme with the ski chase in OHMSS.
I’ve noticed Moore’s bond does a lot of skiing in his films
Very good music
Thanks for sharing this.
Now I got "California Girls" stuck in my head!
RIP JOHN BARRY WOWWWWW
スノーボードシーンも登場する、OPアクションのBGMですね🎵🤗🔫💥💣
Best bond film & intro success to!
Casino Royale blew them all away. Probably saved a couple million on stunts.
The soundtrack is amazing I do feel roger moores last film should of been octopussy
This is missing something. I know - a Beach Boys cover band!
very nice movie song.
This music was used too in the scene of Hammersmith Bridge in the "No Time to Die".
Yes but best used as the main theme of Lazenby's OHMSS
That film is Macbeth to me. I don't refer to that abomination by name.
I can't find it
This movie was pretty serious, except for the split car driving in Paris, and Q's robot.
the begin is so sad...
bond found a body of his 00 agent and find the chip in a medallion a picture of child and wife is see 😢

JAMES BOND MOVIE"A VIEW TO BE KILL"=NOVEL AGATHA CRISTIE "PEMBUNUHAN A,B,C,D."
Does this theme appears in any other Bond movie? Was it in Spectre? 🤔
This is a very good movie but the mine scene went a bit too far..
I thought the fire truck scene did, but yeah, I like the film.

The desperate scream of the strings, the driving beat, that regular "ba-ba-BOOM" of the deep percussion.
This is the definitive action theme
