Yum, this looks good. My grandma used to cook this. I must make some for my grandson just so he can see what I used to eat when I was little. I'm sure he will like it because he said I am the best cook in the whole world...bless him.
Hello my friend that dinner looked delicious I would never of thought of putting the pigs in blanket in Yorkshire but I am definitely going to try this thankyou bestwishes from Swansea South Wales
My sister found some photos on Google featuring pigs in blankets toad in the hole - hopefully, if I can get her and her husband to watch this video and do it like you say, it should be a nice treat for Boxing Day - you might want to consider roast parsnips!
As a child i had many relatives in Newcastle... Ive never mad my own Yorkshire's or toad in the hole... But i might actually try it this week... Thank you... One day could you cook liver and bacon and onion gravy... My favourite... 😊
First time watching your videos, and thoroughly enjoyed your no messing style. The grub looked banging and made my mouth water 😄.. I've subscribed and liked, and will mow check out your other videos to see if you've got things like sausage rolls, steak pudding, fried chicken, home made pork pie etc
As quite a newcomer subscribed to your excellent channel; i am so surprised when i read viewers comments; how many people dont regularly enjoy home cooked meals such as you cook. Im originally from Durham City and i think i brought my families cooking traditions with me to London many years ago. My preference re cooking is for Autumn and Winter foods/recipes. I like Suet pastry on my pies. Baked or steamed dumplings etc. Its so good to hear your dialect. This type of food brings comfort to people. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Oh this looks so good. Will definitely be making this Love toad in the hole and with pigs in blankets is genius .Found your channel and absolutely love it. Cooked lots of your recipes and they’ve been banging! Merry Christmas to you and your family. Looking forward to you continuing in 2025 🎉
That looked sooooo good!!!, I have never tried carrot and swede mash before and I’ve just turned 46!!😮😂, plus my hubby won’t eat mashed anything…….long story lol, but I am definitely going to make that recipe!!!! Yum!!
Dinner Lady this looks phenomenal! You’ve inspired me to try making Toads in the Hole am with Pigs in the Blanket. You’ve taught me how to make a proper Roasty too, boil them first and then oven bake them. Brilliant! Thank you so much. Cheers from Miami Beach☮️☀️🌊🐚🏖️💐
Lovely, I haven’t had this for ages. Pork fat, salt, butter . . .lovely. I like the idea of carrots & swede mash. Also thank you for showing us the Yorkshire pudding measuring method.
Liked, subscribed and binged watched. Love the way you show us all the ingredients pricing and where to obtain them then to proceeds to cook in an informative and simplistic way. Just love it, and I know if I do something it’s going to work because I’ve seen the end result being enjoyed. One tip I do have to you and your followers , is if like me the “chicks have flown” invest in a 3 tier steamer….spuds at bottom , then add the veg at certain time so they are all ready together (I sometimes do extra spuds and cabbage to make bubble and squeak for the next day) and it’s all one one gas ring. Happy home cooking and once again a big thank you for all the wonderful tips and scrumptious recipes x
Good looking dinner,so very different from the dinners here.I don’t think people here eat carrots, except in stews, and soups,or raw,and it’s difficult to even find a Swede, and of cause no Yorkshires, they have Popovers which is the same thing, but I don’t think most people would even know about them.Gravy isn’t very popular either, they don’t have things like Bisto, most supermarkets have ready made gravy in jars, but I have only ever seen one brand, the only one I have tried is turkey, because I live alone and get invited to a friends house for turkey day(Thanksgiving) and they always give me some leftovers for the next day,so I get a jar to heat the meat up in,and it’s not bad.You seem to be getting a few new subscribers,I joined just a few weeks ago, and then I think you had 37 good for you,and I hope you will get many more soon.
Question, is that Himalayan Sea Salt you use hun? We switched to it within the past year and besides looking pretty it does have a nice flavour. And that's a fabulous Toad in the Hole - never even thought of using pigs in blankets! I need to stop watching else I'll be licking the screen! When Ian's able to help with the filming it's a really nice addition. Easier on you and also nice to have the two of you speaking. Nailed it - again! x
lynne gateshead, a made the toad in the hole it was lovely, a fried some leeks in butter until they were nice vivid green and squeeky, put them to one side and after a mashed me potatoes and added me milk and butter a put the leeks into it and it was lovely with it a hope you try me leeky mash with it. lovely toad in the hole you made it worked.
I don't understand , the pigs in a blanket I get. But what is the Toad in a hole ? Is it the Pigs in a Blanket put into the Yorkshire Pudfing and baked ?? I thought it was two completely separate dishes . Seems like I remember doing something that I called Toad in a Hole by making cornbread muffins and baking scrambled pork sausage in a middle.
I just cannot imagine any person in my family sitting down and eating that quantity of food at one time. The meal looks great and well balanced but way more than anyone needs to consume. Keep up the great cooking but if you want to see another birthday, eat half of what you did in this video.
The toad in the hole and roasties look fabulous, crunchy, mouth is watering. Thank you🤗
this video just proves that you cant beat straight forward simple old school cooking. everything looked awesome

35 mins x
Where are the s's on Aldi and Lidl?
Not sure what you mean x
You always say Aldi's and Lidl's 😂 your food looks lovely though.
They have good food I love the greengrocer and butchers which I do use but it's expensive so mostly aldi and lidl x
Why did you rinse the jug out after the milk when it's going in the bowl anyway
When you used the saved pork fat, was the fat saved from your Sweet N Spicy Belly Pork video?
lynne gateshead, a made the toad in the hole it was lovely, a fried some leeks in butter until they were nice vivid green and squeeky, put them to one side and after a mashed me potatoes and added me milk and butter a put the leeks into it and it was lovely with it a hope you try me leeky mash with it. lovely toad in the hole you made it worked.

I thought it was two completely separate dishes . Seems like I remember doing something that I called Toad in a Hole by making cornbread muffins and baking scrambled pork sausage in a middle.
'Toad in the hole' is just sausages baked in Yorkshire pudding batter, but she's gone fancy by turning the sausages into 'pigs in blankets' 😂
It's toad in the hole, But this time the toads have blankets 😂
What a lovely lady best cooking show ever x
Wow, thank you x
