I had this exact blaster when i was a kid. Was the first thing i ever remember saving up for. Mine was a but different to yours. It shot those yellow darts with the purple sucking heads on. It also didn’t have that issue seating the darts in the shells. It worked really well for ages. Then the internals failed. But it was one of my favourite toys.

yea I had one when I was a kid was green and yellow instead of the nerf elite colors forget the darts it had but I rarely used it for that just to play war with friend without the risk of losing darts
I had the yellow and green version when I was a kid and I loved it used it so much I broke the lever mechanism and then took the whole thing apart to try to fix it and broke it more

Yeah the hawk something I think it was called. I loved that thing. Just the feel of the shell ejecting from it was what made me love it so much

My childhood favorite. The original buzz bee purple and yellow darts were about 5mm shorter than elite darts, which is why you're having that issue. Back in the day it never had clearing problems.
I had the upgraded version of this that fixed the ejection mag issue and worked like a dream, hands down the coolest blaster I ever owned.
That right there was my main blaster for my entire childhood. Painted the whole thing "wood" and brass, cut the barrel down, tried to make the mag more reliable. I loved the double barrel from the same era too. They were basically the only shell blasters around at the time
I had one forever ago as a kid, roughly when the Longshot first came out. I remember the prime being _absolutely_ savage and gritty. I craved it for so long, since I wanted a dartgun that operated like my favorite Henry rifle, but I was dissapointed.
My favorite dartgun was a six shooter with an open front from what I _think_ was the same company. It too was hell to prime, but it outshot the early Mavericks and was less clumsily weighted too.
Man, you got yourself a realistic gun, where it either gets a double feed or jams on its own.
I had 2 of these blasters when I was growing up, never had that failure to feed you were talking about, but man was it easy to loose those shells!
I remember having the buzzbee double barrel but I wanted this one bad because it was even cooler than watching the shells blow back out of the green and yellow colored double barrel. Plus lets be honest lever actions are just infinitely cooler anyway.
i also have the double barrel but my brother broke it by breaking the barrel (as in opening it AND SAT ON IT LIKE A CHAIR
I had one and it worked flawlessly, it was my absolute favorite up until i lost pretty much all my shells and i couldnt find it in stores anymore. Now decades later i have a ar15 instead lol
I think i had one of these as a young buck. I would cut the darts in half and get a substantial increase in velocity. It was also much easier to load the darts into the shells

I had the original one growing up (still have it somewhere) and my favorite parts were the fact that the lever itself was made of solid metal, and the darts hit pretty hard compared to other blasters at the time

I had a yellow/green one. It was my cousin’s, actually. I have it stored away somewhere. A mag-fed lever-action rifle is an interesting idea.
I remember finding one of these at a thrift store without the mag for 3$, I had plenty of buzzbee shells around the house when I was a kid so I'd spend my time scavenging up shells and using it as a breach loader
Using any magazine fed, shell ejecting buzzbee blasters, I always just single loaded them or trimmed down the darts. I had a bolt action shell ejector that I used as a single shot
The original green and yellow sticky fat version was my first ever blaster as a kid!
I’m actually surprised it wasn’t super popular that was my absolute favorite blaster as a kid
Whenever a dart did that I would always call it a failure to eject moment and mess with the gun until I got it unstuck. Added some realism to our ww2 reenactments
No clue if its been said but if you use the 3d printed shells it actually runs surprisingly nice, fits normal darts and since no dart peg or AR fits Halfs too.
The shells are floating somewhere on thingiverse

Buzz bee was my first toy gun company i bought from i bout a yellow magazine pull back but the back was green and you had to prime that
I love the buzbee shells in a double barrel shotgun I got as a kid, Yk the over and under one
Considering Buzzbee Suction darts were significantly shorter than other darts, I'm not surprised the heads get stuck when using anything else.
Most satisfying ejection though.
try half length darts, i had a buzzbee double barrel that used the same shells, i use half lengths and it worked ok.
Here’s an idea. Put half length darts in the shells.

I managed to find one of these on a shelf at Walmart without any packaging and only a bar code. I’m guessing a customer or someone didn’t want it and just left it there, I bought the thing and it still functions. This was a year or two ago, aka way beyond shelf life. 😂
Mine broke as a kid, I wish I never got rid of it or my dad would've tried to fix it...I could fix it easily now and it was such a cool gun. I'd buy one if they still sold it.
They were better 15 years ago, I had many and even had a lever action water gun that looked similar.
The best part was always the sturdy metal lever.
Standard .50 cal darts are too long to work reliably in this blaster, the original darts are just a bit shorter. I have a double shot that takes these same shells and while it can fire regular darts, they won’t fit in the stock for storage. I’ve broken out the dart pegs and cut ~3/4 length darts to fit nicely. They can also take 1/2 length darts if you manage to get the entire dart post out. 1/2 lengths are super cool because they can be completely covered by the shell making it super durable
I used to have one or something similar mine was yellow and orange I believe and I've only had the issues with the jams when my dart broke or I just half ass put it in as a kid but yeah no my shells held well and so on also I used to have the double barrel shotgun with same shells I loved them both
You can um, move the tube into a lower position… it gets pretty powerful
Mod the shells and shorten the darts so thyre flush with the opening of the shells and ittle be way more better
I had one, now I’m designing a shell ejecting lever action firing mega darts
Get some 3d printed parts for that and itll load, fire and reload like a dream
Yeah this was my favorite gun to grab even if I was just playing make believe the shell ejection & the magazine + the lever action this was my sniper,AR OR shotgun only difference was the blue plastic was green 👌
I have one of these, I made my own shell for it out of barrel from another blaster that I hacked off + part of an air restricter because I lost the shells.
It worked better than the shitty buzzbee shells and I still have the shell to this day.
You could cut a little of the back of the darts to make the blaster cycle the rounds better

Probably work better as a breechloader just one shell and pull trigger, then put one shell just one shell at a time
I managed to model and 3-D print my own shells that work significantly better, so this guy might be viable for me lol

Shortened the foam bullet but make it abit heavier to compensate the length

I am remember having a extremely powerful double barrel "nerf" gun, you'd have to put the darts in similar shells to these and they'd eject when reloading.
I can tell that you’ve never operated an actual legendary levvy by the way you operate the lever

Dude, please see this comment, you should really try the Winchester Model M1887 Lever Action one, and I’m talking about that sweet purple one and not all the other crappy knockoffs. It is 100 bucks tho, but it’s pretty worth it, the whole priming system is metal and even the plastic is had to break and thick. You should get it.

I think if you shorten the darts a little will work just fine👌
Maybe use 3D printed shells made for short darts or use .50 cal foam balls for some of the problems.

the main reason why they won't clear is because you need special darts that are abit shorter I just cut down some darts and they worked fine
I have two of these things. One works and one doesn't. And for one, you are using the wrong type of dart. Those look a little longer than standard buzzbee stick dart. But you are right it is satisfying to use

I got the original. It wasn't as bad as this one, but it is uncomfortable because the lever was cold metal. I really wish they used plastic, but the Rapid Fire Tek Walked so the Slingfire could run.
Love the video, have you ever thought about doing reading asmr or even just talking asmr? Would love to see it.
Have one of those even now, but needs to be repaired a bit, lever wont close unless the mags in or i hold down on the plastic guide part thing inside, also wont prime to fire, otherwise still in good condition and loaded with empty lil orange shells
I have a double barrel shotgun that uses the shells, sometimes its the a bullet it self. With the shotgun its that some of the rounds are too thick to work well, but i think for that it would probably be that the bullet is too long/thick for the shell. I stuck with the bullets it came with because they work best for it.

Make the lever larger and the reloading in the lower barrel and you can call it winchester
i turn mine into pieces and then i made a ballistic knife out of it when i was like 11 years old, oh man i miss those times
This is potentially because that looks like the same exact magazine from a different gun I had when I was a child back in like 2010 or something like that, they didn't make it correctly for that system

I have a classic green/yellow/orange and the mag was different, didn’t have these types of problems
