If you’re catching only small fish at Deckers, it’s probably because you’re spin fishing!! Lol just messing around, nice fish caught by you two, love it when there’s not as many people there
Interesting way to reel, I feel like that's reeling so fast. Can you do a "reeling" speed video? Like what speeds (slow/ medium/ fast) to use with which lures??
That’s a great idea! Maybe I will do that. These lures are crankbaits/jerkbaits so you need to reel a certain speed especially when doing a straight retrieve to get a good cranking action out of them. I tend to slow it down in the winter when the water is colder. Of course you would want to fish slower when using jigs as well.
I'm a fly fisherman and I think it's funny. Most of us started fishing with live bait. The standard progression as one grows older is to challenge one's self and move on to artificial lures like spinners, crankbaits, etc. Fly fishing is the next level of progression. I laugh at those that thump their chest and throw shade at fly fisherman when it's a personal choice to move on from the rookie leagues and give it a go at the major league level. Psst...we're not jealous or left wanting. If we wanted to be as successful as we were as kids using spinning gear, then we'd join you. I also know people that follow the hatchery truck around, too. It's a successful gig, but I'm not interested. They, however, feel emboldened by catching their limit, lol. Tight lines!
That’s sacrilegious in CO! Just kidding lol fly fishing is ALOT harder and as my freind says fishing is already hard enough. Both conventional and fly have there place and purpose.
I was on the Blue last December throwing a tiny Rapala 2 inch in rainbow trout color, worked so good.
Heck yeah sometimes they are great depending on the day! And streamers.
Love the energy and excitement!
Thank you!
Love the excitement! You two caught some really nice trout. Happy fish, and ones named george! Haha. Awesome!
We love you Joe!! Haha thanks for watching

@@phattygoodness7347 thanks for watching! Love your two cents. This last comment was from my friend who was more trolling me than anything.

@@currentfisher lol im jk man. Its hard to beat the action of a little jerkbait or spinner!
@@nolanschroeder8455 I need more hating! Where are the Colorado fly purists at?

Agreed! I enjoy doing both. Lure fishing for trout is something cool though-very much like streamer fishing. Tons of action and flashes.
