I have agreements on you about this! The reason I post this location over others is because it’s far too gone. The secret is out. Antero was blown up a decade ago. People know it can be a slow lake at times but it has some good ones and it’s been getting a lot of pressure for a long time.

There’s like 5 places to fish in Colorado with 5 million people !! We’re screwed

Interesting! I don’t see many folks using them as well. I’ve actually broken off on a fish before because the swivel got stuck in one of the guides but I use them anyways to make tying leaders easier and to prevent twists. Here I am ruining all of that by having my drag to loose though 😂

True my drag was too loose because I have PTSD from a big fish that broke off because my drag wasn’t loose enough 😭

This was too loose but when you’re ice fishing with light line it’s better too have too loose of drag than too tight

Thanks for the report Joe! How’s the trout fishing out there this time of year? It’s been getting cold here and I actually just went ice fishing this week up at 10,000 feet.

@currentfisher creeks are still really low, so the trout fishing is tough. Catching a few in the lakes. Went up to lake erie and caught a few steelhead a few weeks ago. They're all stacked up at the mouths of the creeks waiting for rain to head upstream

@currentfisher well... i did put a video out of a steelhead i caught in the bay a few weeks ago. Didn't really record much on the tributaries, they were really crowded and don't like recording around a lot of people.

Super cool! It’s an epic area. If you have instagram find me on there and shoot me a DM and we can chat about it! There is quite a bit of shoreline fishable from where I was at. The hiking around the reservoir and the steep edges were somewhat of a challenge but it’s doable.
