Great tutorial, thanks! Do you have any idea if there is a way to do the pattern fill but in a way to know how many objects there are in the item? Ex: using this tool to pattern fill a square with oranges, but knowing how many oranges are ultimately in the square? I know I could duplicate and manually place each image and then I'd know for sure how many there are, was just looking for a shortcut if possible

I don't think there's such a tool in this particular workflow.

Is it posible to make a random fill but selecting multiple images? so that I don't have to make one layer for each one, but just make 1 layer that ramdomly fill the area with my multiple different images? thanks in advance!

You could merge all the layers at the end. Having them separately gives you the flexibility to move them, scale them, etc. so they cover the right area you want. Then merge into a single layer and ... done!

Is there a way I can do this without the patterns overlapping?
I have certain little icons that I need to fill into a certain shape. But I don't want the individual images to overlap on any other image including the similar one.
    Please help.

You can try playing with the options in the Edit > Fill dialog, select 'Script' and then select 'Symmetry Fill'. Then click OK and change the options in the next dialog by testing with the patterns included there.. You can control the pattern of the fill, the size, scale, translation etc., until you distance them. I hope this helps.

I actually had a issue in steps >edit>fill>Pattern>Checkbox Script>Random Fill>OK>>(what pops up after this is my single object randomly spread out but with 3d squares that are not part of the print??? Let me know if you can help

Maybe you selected an extra element by mistake from your list of images?
