- The story of a normie Hunt Showdown player who has never played solo and finding out it's chaotic and rewarding.

It's nice to see a Hunt content creator that isn't some insane living aimbot. I enjoyed this a lot and it makes me want to put in a few more solo runs and just let what ever happens, happen.

last i checked, there isn't. but i used to do trials (without starting them) and roam the map to get a feel for it. Glad you got a good laugh, that's a goal with each video! Thanks!@@ThisOLmaan

God I just love your content. The little narration to give me your thought process is really refreshing when other hunt youtubers just upload raw vods of fights. Your style is great, and I hope your solo journey goes well. I mainly play solo, and versus trios honestly feels way more rewarding. Less teams means less random variance/getting killed in dumb spawn fights, and when you do get that bounty the underdog bonus is massive. Hope to see some footage of you trying it, and if you find it tough try more forgiving multi-shot weapons like the winfield or the vetterli, as it helps you a lot when you're getting aped by three.

In this event my favorite solo loadout was winny apperture+ nagant silencer, both with high velocity ammo. You will have an optional deadeye-like scope with the bullet velocity of a mosin, a silenced weapon for extra ammo and of course levering for close range. Killed a lot of players with it

This brings me back to 2014-2015 dayZ I ALWAYS had to play with a buddy because I was never too good at the game, one day nobody at all was on to play and I had to get my fix, I tried solo for the first time, I got a Mosin and went up the the airfield, my first solo game I killed a squad of 4 with a bolt action rifle and they all had m4s or aks. That day changed everything, I played nothing but solo consistently wiping squads of people with ease. Solo play is the way to get better at games like these. Also great video and keep up the good work. You've earned yourself a subscribbler

Solo and duo and trios are very different experiences. What a game.

and people wonder why older hunt plyaers say that necro as it is is just fine and the people complaining are either bad, new, or both and either arent skilled enough to meet th 9 times outta 10 bar that is so low, its at your feet to stop a revive majoritivly or they dont know the easy ways to do it being concertina mines and flares and so dont even think it can be safely stopped or dont think to build around those tools to stop revives.
I like sparks for solo. 3rd party and lay out anyone who aleeady downed a bar. Lebel with sparks pistol. Also lebel with saber or romaro hatchet.
Sometimes an aftomat.
Mosin obrez mace and a romaro talon. One health kit. All traps frontiersman and packmule. Just trap everything and wait. Have to be quik tho.
Sparks and 3 handgrenades when im on a angry spree. Mosin bayonet, conduit stamina shots and all traps. You get very used to spearing every zombie you see and that transitions into being confortable doing it to players.
Basically, you like to solo 😂

hunt is a hard game for youtube the vid is a little bit mudy but its great hope u can post 4k or 1440p videos soon loving the content lately keep up the good work
An alternative to your loadout could be winfield swift and lemat with slugs. Lemat slugs one shot out to 10 meters to upper chest. It is more expensive but probably better. You could also run LeMat carbine and hand crossbow as a utility tool.
playing solo is like doubling your heart rate. i rarely do it, but when i do i get some intense fights for sure

Just Another algorythm Comment
I started solo running very early on, IMO it's just more fun than playing with randoms.
It made me a better player, and also made me better at carrying when teammates were downed.
It also taught me loadout optimization: you really should have a close range solution and a medium/long range solution built into every kit.
Also double slot medium builds mostly suck. You end up with two "meh" options instead of a strong primary and then a good backup.
It's better to optimize a build for long range by taking a large slot long ammo rifle, then for close range take a double action or fanning pistol.
It's better to optimize a build for short range by taking a large slot shotgun, then take a scottfield/pax/uppercut for those longer range engagements.

I say it how it is: Solo=Easy Mode only if you fight groups that are organized you have a harder time.
Starting playing solo today at 770 hrs with bomb lance and silenced nagant and it has been the most fun I've had on the game.

I'd go as far as to say, unless you regularly play with incredibly well synced groups, you don't really play Hunt Showdown until you play solo. Every single duo or trio team I've ever found are the noisiest motherfuckers I've ever seen, triggering every sound trap, bum rushing every compound only to turn into cowards at the boss lair. More than that, because there's always someone available to potentially revive you or carry your mistakes, there's a constant gap between mistakes you make and whether they actually lead to any kind of concequence.
As a solo, YOU set the pace. Take compounds slowly if you need to, rush them if you think that's the right call, and get immediate feedback on whether it works or doesn't work. Maybe you DON'T want to find the boss first, preferring to third party other people's fights over a lair. Maybe you want to play a long game and chip people down reducing their healing items until they panic. Or maybe you want to really work on your combat skills, game awareness and aim in tense situations, now you can pick every fight you want to.
More than that, whilst necromancer allows you an option on death, the fact that A) People will camp your body for 20 minutes if they have to and B) Every death counts separately towards your MMR, there's still a huge personal cost to using it compared to relying on allies in duos/trios. As a result, you still REALLY don't wanna die in solo play, because even with Necro and Resilience 9 times out of 10 it's a death sentence.
This rewards more careful focused play than when you have teammates to cover for you, and often results in longer and tenser shootouts and cat and mouse sequences not ruined by your own carelessness due to having backup or an ally running around next to you giving away your position.
If you haven't tried it, you absolutely should.

Playing solo is supposed to be a challenge not give you such an OP ability to essentially troll anyone you fight if you choose to
@@drugsarebad97 It just adds a new mechanic to give solo's a higher chance at success. It should be nerfed but should stay, as its so easy to prevent a solo from ressing

@@drugsarebad97 Solo is the hardest, even with self res. It only adds a new mechanic to stop camping and make people have more fun playing. When I play solo now I rat so hard but when I played solo before I could take risks and peak angles knowing I can res. I think solo should be more accessible for newer players and older ones, at the end of the day the game is supposed to be fun and adding a balanced mechanic would only help Hunt surely.
@@bobbyriver games that pander to new players ruin the overall experience . Sure it’ll help bring in more players long term but what attracts people to the game is the unique experience it gives , not making it easier for new solos.
My game last night....
Solo, see hunter,... Shot, miss,reposition, get stuck, hunter shoots me... Instant kill to chest with spark pistol. 143 damage out of 150.....how does that happen? Seriously how is that a kill?
Haha I have no idea. Unless you took 7 damage somehow on the reposition or a 3v1 and you got shot simultaneously? Idk but I hate it for ya! It’s probably how I feel after a dude dual pistols one shots me in the dome

The vandal has to be the number one noob mistake weapon, terrible accuracy at any distance, sawn off shotguns are almost as bad because if you don't one shot them you usually done....In 5 star world and above at least.
i kill an average of 6 people each match as a solo so it really has helped me get much better
Yo whaat what are those kills with the short rival? mine always shoots gummy bears it dont even two tap to upper chest or one tap in the head

Maybe it could help you to look into things like shotgun spread and effective distance more. The sawed off double barrel is actually very reliable.
Solo is great because the mmr system puts you in an easier lobby as well (stat wise).
Saw something on that the other day! What can you tell me about turning skill based match making off??
@@doppelnaut it’s useful if your a really high MMR like 6 stars and there’s low pop cuz it’s late at night or somthing . It helps you get into a game quicker . Other than that i keep it on.

@@doppelnaut but i also know some people turn it off because they don’t really like being matched “accurately”. They just want to fight people no matter the rank. Sort of like old school COD. Could get a noob lobby or sweats
