Arturo Sanchez, @nycfurby, a master of Dhalsim's fire-breathing yoga even back then, squared off against the legendary Daigo "The Beast" Umehara, the master of Ryu's unyielding spirit, in a titanic First to 10 showdown in SF4.
Shortly after defeating Justin Wong in the Street Fighter 4 Grand Finals at the Evolution Championship Series tournament, The Beast made his way up to room 1676, where the strongest players outside of Japan lined up to money match him.

I was rewatching your MvCi videos (featuring JWonggg) with my nephews because they have discovered MvC3 and MvCi. We watched the whole series while playing the games. i dont care what people say, i still prefer this pacing and gameplay more then what v and 6 brought to the table. hopefully it will get a revival via game bundle and updated netcode for modern consoles.
when you put it that way, we're only a year away from the 15th anniversary of SF4 lol. so i'm sure by 2029 we'll have The Ultimate Street Fighter 4 Collection with everything including omega mode lol

I'm an 09er (though I casually played SF2 growing up), and SF4 will forever have a special place in my heart. I do agree the pacing was good and different in SF4, and for example Sim was still Sim, not a rushdown character. That being said, I think Capcom did an amazing job with SF6 even just strictly gameplay-wise. It can get overwhelming sometimes since the Drive system adds another layer you have to be aware of at all times. But overall, I do find it extremely fun. The giant cherry on top is that everyone's viable, and the worst matchups aren't as bad as they've been in the past. So while I will miss the SF4 era, I can accept it is gone. Let SF6 take over and let some little kid win $1,000,000.

Get your friends together, play together, have a good time. The community makes the game special, not its age
