It’s funny that the pass through detent home was such a huge deal here. Strider has been doing that for years. My older smf has it and it’s so nice to clean with that. Compressed air does the job every time

Bought this and went to disassemble it and the screw heads twisted right off. I was in disbelief, awesome knife though. Can't wait to get it put back together.
Got mine onsale, but unsure how much, know the sale was removed the next day. Black titanium. It's a nice knife, hoping the skiffs help

I would have thought stone wash cost more than belt satin. Maybe the stone wash hides blemishes so the finish doesn’t have to be as good as the belt satin. 🤔
That's a common belief among knife enthusiasts (myself included) before learning why it's the exact opposite. As a tumbled/SW blade is simply tossed in an industrial tumbler for a few hours, while the ceramic/aluminum oxide media that's used rarely has to be changed or replaced (making it a cost friendly finish for company's). Belt satin's on the other hand involves physical labor from a human on the belt, and not to mention with the higher end super steels (high vanadium steels) that strain and destroy belts very easily which then have to be replaced often.

It's crazy how the N690 models cost about the same it's kinda dumb. I ordered the titanium version 9 days ago but Blade Hq is incredibly slow still waiting maybe on the 10th day.😐

@@bionick4281 its the finishing and handle material. Aluminum isn’t cheap like some would think. And its milled nicely. I handled them all at Blade west. They are quality. Micarta is just cheaper. Also, maybe they made more of certain versions. Steel isn’t that different in price honestly
listen, might seem little bit off, but im interested if you use bearings without lube, and let it brake in for couple weeks, then apply lube will that give better action? coz lubing bearings up incrases brake in time no?

M398 is from Italy, pretty much all you need to know if you research there steel performance.
