Any suggestions and questions are welcome. I'd also appreciate any advice on the glue, although so far, this was very easy to work with and has held perfectly for almost two months now.

Your Grandfather sounds like a great character. I was lucky to have inherited a lot of tools from my Grandfather and I often think of him as I use them.

He was... 🙂 It is truly luck - what kind of tools? Any truly are very special inheritance. Like a unique piece of history, someones hard work and in a strange way someone's presence.
