As someone that has it paid off in full, I will be keeping it. There is nothing out there that I could purchase with the features that it has. It drives like a dream - I like the car...depreciation is part of having a new car - this one more so unfortunately. Also - I don't like the look of any other EV's out there. I'll keep it. I'll risk it. I'll run it until I can't anymore.

Sad, you were one of the rare folks that we looked to for optimism of this disaster of a car. Good luck.

OMG your triggering the Fisker deniers, all EVs values will deline but none more than a co. that is BK

I’m with you sir. I took the same financial hit but couldn’t risk losing anymore or being stuck with a very high car payment without service or warranty. A gamble I wasn’t going to take, so I got a 2024 Subaru Solterra Limited. They had a $0 down lease to help soak up some of the negative equity. All other leases wanted $4-5k down. After driving it for 2 days, I realize how much better built it is and I now have adaptive cruise with lane centering, wireless CarPlay, no rattles, no creaks! No 0-60 in 6.5 seconds is not fast, the range is nowhere near the ocean one, but I don’t drive far often at all. I have 0 regrets getting rid of it, and hope others listen to this while they can. Especially if it’s your main car. Congrats on your Volvo.

i'm so sorry that your channel and adam's Chanelle continue the negativity on this company and the cars , I hope new fisker owners and members will have their own more positive youtubve feedback on the car in future because this car deserves more respect that its getting

  • @krafter324

BTW, we got booted from the Fisker Ocean Facebook group for saying we sold and no negative news is allowed. At least I did for commenting on your video, saying I sold mine lol.

As the first owner (still) of one of the first 1000 DeLoreans I can empathize with you. I feel like the numbers that eventually put you in a lesser car could have let you drive the Ocean until it just quit and then part it out. Surely techs will be around and you would have to pay an awful lot in service to ay for a $30k loss. I think you nailed too quickly.

So I had my wifes XC60 2023 Polestar in for service ( software ) and on the lot was a Fisker Ocean, I know the guys well and asked how much did you give for that car in trade, 47,000 the same week you got your Volvo. I just laughed and after a lot of banter the GSM who made that call is no longer with that dealership. I asked how much they wanted for it given what new ones are being offered at and they said how about lunch for it...they were joking but they know they are hosed. Whoever got that 47k should be be counting their blessings.

Half of 666.. bro has really lost it now. Also how can someone that rich claim an EV credit.. greedy

  • @42nate123

Brian, thanks for sharing your journey through the end. My journey started in October too, but i was rear ended less than a month later. Unable to get parts, or even parts listing to get a repair estimate, insurance couldn’t do anything with it until late January. I was rear ended by an uninsured motorist, which turned out to be very lucky, since I was only dealing with my insurance company. They finally wrote me a check for the estimated repairs, and I sold it the first week of February. There were not any parts, or ETA on getting parts to repair it. I knew I wanted out, and had huge concerns about Fisker surviving. I was just very lucky with my timing.

    Brian,

  • @Toggoss

Thank you Brian for sharing your story. I began following you after you visited the Out of Spec podcast right after you took delivery of your Fisker Ocean. Thank you for the highs, the lows, and specifically the honesty all of the way through.

  • @ufookoro1

I am so please, like Adam, you have been able to save yourself from the sinking ship.

  • @aes1958

Great video as usual. I am looking for information, not entertainment, so appreciate your rational, reasoned approach that does leave room for other opinions, simply explaining yours. Thanks for taking the time. Will follow your journey in the new Volvo

  • @jngobngo

Thanks for sharing the journey and congrats on the Volvo, good looking car. I was thinking polestar would be the replacement not far off.
