I agree! I see hundreds of guys around my area driving around their vans blank. Like I call it a BLANK BILLBOARDS ON WHEELS. Second worse thing is a big white van with a TINY MAGNETIC sign on the driver side with ALL the information cramped on there. If I can't read what you do from the other side of the intersection, you are doing it wrong, people! Does not matter if you already have enough of word-of-mouth business. Everyone knows Amazon, FedEx, UPS.... yet their trucks are still well recognized from far as F%4K and they keep on marketing on other platforms.
Great info. But you forgot to warn anyone who wraps their trucks…don’t drive like an idiot. Don’t tailgate, flip the bird, or drive aggressively. Make sure to warn your employees too. You’re driving my truck and my reputation. Common sense but people don’t always have it.
Tom thanks for all you do!!! Listen to us other bitch, why? I say its because you made it, those that complain are struggling and frustrated. Looking for help or advice. Your a painter, sure damn good one, I'm a finish carpenter, from interior paint to trim, cabinets, doors and more. i just bought .black Silverado, being car guy, once had Nova SS kept it mint. learned detailing, I applied that to my Cadillac Seville STS is so blinding in silver, i have had corvette owners stare, a Z/28 owner pull up smiling "now that is a nice car." What's the point? My Silverado black have performed two steps to my detailing to show the customer my care for my vehicle, to see my glistening truck at their house, take pride i my work and attention to detail. Now to create more envy in the detailing In one of your videos talked of the rusted van leaking oil, one of your guys blowing snot and more. To of been one of my guys been right there on his ass like a hip pocket, most likely his last day i watch to better learn how to run a contracting company
If you’re just starting out this is probably a good idea. For me after 20 yrs, this is the last thing I want....every tire kicking, price sensitive, clueless time waster of a lead will be hounding you. I only want quality referrals from existing clients I’m booked almost 12 months in advance, charge a substantial premium and don’t rush jobs so I can knock the quality out of the park and leave clients happy. My web page is my only source of serious time wasters just looking to find the next cheapest price, one day I will great rid of it. when I tell them my typical job averages they lose interest quickly.
To anyone who lives where I do, you will not make it. The people are cheap, will stiff you, intense competition, lastly are set in their ways "I always".. To find a suitable truck is tough, here 98 Silverado still want 10k for it. My only means of making it is to move. What cities are good for finish carpentery? Like to have Tom visit my community for 1 year I'll pay his hotel and food for a year. His next video these people are real a****oles. Are rude, cheap, set in their ways, don't want to pay.
This was a great episode. I made this change last year and it helped get us more jobs.
Best marketing dollars spent Mike.
Thank you for all the help, that’s my next step.
Worth every penny Alfredo.
