Great video man, and spot on with doing this yourself, takes time and patience but is very doable and cost effective, i wrapped my first truck a year ago and about to wrap my new one. Saved myself 5,000$ doing it myself. For anyone wondering most shops start at $3500 for a basic color change for trucks and suvs. After watching a bunch of videos i learned that this next wrap job ill work a little smarter by measuring and cutting the panels then before ripping the liner off ill cut out the extra material so i can use it for scraps like mirrors and small stuff.
I bought me a used 2013 F250 for $800 about 2 years ago and been wanting to change the color on it. I'm not sure if I can do a wrap alone but still learning on UA-cam.
I would say wrap it changing the look making it look nice.. from what I know your vehicle has to be clean.. if it isn't able to stick to the truck then magnets is needed and also helps you hold the wrap for stretching.. I well try it once just to do it... Maybe get people to get into it.. but for me I would say you can wrap can go 2 ways.. 1 changing the color and seeing in person if you really want that color.. another is if you want to change the color and if your still with the truck or car aka loan.. then wrap is also perfect.. under the wrap we'll always be the original color without messing with it.. con is after 2 yrs honestly to be safe.. you have to take it off and redo it all over again..
What I'm wondering in regards to trucks. How do you cover the area behind the cab (in between the cab and the bed) where there is like 2 inches of space?
I get my ass kicked trying to tint my front windows on my F150. That little dip down on the window gets me every time. I just can't get a feel for it. And for whatever stupid reason I get that "i think i can do it this time" kind of confidence every now and then. Only to do exactly what you said, rip it off and ball it up and chuck it and my neighbors definitely hear some colorful language every time. Trying this would likely make me rip the skin on my face off out of frustration 😂
Good demonstration mate, I did my bonnet (hood) just about pulled my hair out ...ripped one bit off the edge 😳 and thought I'm not starting again so I spliced apiece in and you can only just see it.
🎉🎉🎉🎉 vehicles you did look great thank you for your help I was very nervous and with the heat gun you showed me I am so happy right now I am going to wrap my truck now thank you so much
What was the final amount of feet used for the f-150 in this video? And what was the final time it took? Just curious looking to do my truck which is the same as yours
I never had a problem with color changing vehicles. It is just a giant sticker so it can come off whenever so I don't think it's an issue. A local vinyl Wrap shop could probably confirm that for you.
Bro, i got a 100-foot roll of the exact car wrap for $ 3.00 at a amish store. They buy pallets from Amazon that is returned for what ever reason and they sell it dirt chep. Also got enough sound deading material to do my entire cab of my truck the engine bay firewall. The under neath of th3 hood and the front fender wells . For 7.00. I felt guilty when i handed them a 10 dollar bill and walked out with hundreds of dollars woth of materiel. In my defense, i did ask them if their prives were correct, and they said yes. I guess they pay like $60 to $90 per pallet load of returns. A lot of the stuff hasnt even been taken out of the package
If it’s your first time doing wrap, don’t go cheap, and don’t do any gloss color. I leaned the hard way that it’s near impossible to install when you have no experience
It's not rocket surgery or brain science like these dude in the comments says 😆 yes!! some people might get it done BUT there's levels to this. Yes, it looks good on videos when is done but a few days or weeks it will start getting bubbles from not using the squeegee or it will start peeling from not post heating the right places. Not to mention he's doing it outdoors witch it's a big NO NO but he made it happen and looks good 👍🤜🤛
"have fun, you won't but try" 😂😂 man I felt that one
Came for the wrap but stayed for the hilarious commentary
“Might as well go the extra 15 miles” dude I was cracking up the whole vid 😂

You're giving me a scary amount of confidence to try this on my Yukon XL
I’m bout to wrap my Ram truck😂
“It’s not rocket surgery or brain science” 😂😂😂
What I'm wondering in regards to trucks. How do you cover the area behind the cab (in between the cab and the bed) where there is like 2 inches of space?
Wrap shops typically remove the cab. It can be done, but you need to be a master at placing knifeless tape in that small space
Take off the bed of the truck get a couple buddy’s to help you pick it up of the frame
You can maybe 🤔 wrap 3 inches in? You’d an really see all the way in there

Most professional shops will cover there edges with extra pieces ;)

"It's actually my least favorite part and I hate it" lmfao😂😂😂
What makes it stick/seal to the vehicle? Is it the heat? Is it easy to tare or chip? Make a template or pattern first. Does it splice seamlessly?
Thanks for share you process, could share the link where you bought the vinil???
Sick looks like your having fun 😊

I have the same question as below how did you do behind the cab and bed is there a trip or just take off bed
Other option is just do as much as you can with your hand and use a pole with a soft end to get it "good enough" in the places you cant see anyway
This might be a dumb question but when you wrap your car in a color do you have to go to the DMV and register as the new color🤔🤔🤔
I never had a problem with color changing vehicles. It is just a giant sticker so it can come off whenever so I don't think it's an issue. A local vinyl Wrap shop could probably confirm that for you.
Loyal to the soil!!!
Yo were you able to hit the F150 hood with one piece or have to use two?
Wrap my truck bro. You’re experienced.
Good ethic.
I started wrapping my 96 Silverado and corners are killing me. Like by the cab and bed area. Any suggestions on the best way to wrap dually fenders?
I tried wrapping a couple times. But always have problems wrapping front bumpers because of the angles and curves. Any tips?
Where buying the wrap from?
How many yards do you use to wrap your truck
I believe it was around 65ft
Where do you order from
Looks awesome 🤩
What was is that you used to get the sticky stuff off after you removed the emblems?

When you’re doing the tailgate, do you wrap where the tail light goes to? Or cut it off?

Did pretty good dude
Where did you get the wrap from
Nice video bro thanks
Bro wtf i went my whole life thinking i was the only one who said rocket surgery. We are family now.
Did you have to order in one wrap bro or in 2 x
Doing this without a squeegee is S tier work
Say you run short can you overlap it on itself
How many ft and yard that measure like if 9ft x 150ft
This was closer to 80ft but I would get a little more if you're brand new to it.
What company do you order your vinyl from?
Listen to what he said
3M bro
How much wrap does it take to wrap a suv?
What size wrap did you use for hood?
Where you located how much for a wrap hmu
Where are you located?
What’s the face mask for?
It's SPF rated and it was an extra sunny day. I get dark pretty easily

Depends on quality of the wrap and the weather wherever you live.

He said “ rocket surgery and brain science “ 🤣🤣😂

I’m trying to understand why you are trying to make your baseline model F150 and make it look like a Raptor!
Saving money and making it unique. Are you the Individuality police, karen? 😂
It's not rocket surgery or brain science... gonna use that lol
Rocket surgery or brain science. I like that.
I thought this was an inside job.
3 min in and I'm out. You want to do it for me?

It’s like the Russian or polish guy that was redoing his bmw and said It has that Minister look when it’s supposed to be Sinister 😆😆😆😆😆🤡
