Tip when using hand dyed yarn in the "same" colour: alternate skeins of the same colour! That way the light bloom skein and the darker bloom skein kind of blend together in the block of knitting. If your knitting in the round, switch skeins on the sides (like a seam). When I dothis, you can't tell the hand dyed yarns are slightly different; colors just blend out.
My little boy (miniature poodle 🐩) gets very upset when I crochet 🧶 he grabs my yarn ball and take off with it. I Love watching you do your creations. I am making oversized cardigans sweaters all with different color squares (Not granny squares, yes I am one of those people who do not like granny squares). 🌸
I haven’t visited my local yarn store (locals as in 20 mins away lol) because the yarns pricey. But maybe I’ll splurge a lil and spoil myself for my 30th birthday this fall lol 😊
WOW oh my god!! i'm going to be very honest, at first i wouldn't have given this project two cents. i was like "oh come on now it's just a colourblock sweater... she's made much more ambitious stuff" but at the end... 😍😍😍 the way the colours worked up is insanely pretty, and the "simplest" idea turned out to be so creative. i have commented this many times, but your creativity and your ability to have these visions that are so simple, yet so unique, is one of the things i admire the most in you. you're great!! the ability to come up with something new and unique, "never seen before" in other terms, starting off from things and concepts that we all have under our gaze at all times... it's a symptom of an imagination that can REALLY see beyond the surface. i admire you so much for this!! you're really an inspiration and a comfort for me. edit: and of course, CONGRATULATIONS ON THE COLLAB!! I'm so excited to see that you're getting recognised by little brands and businesses! you deserve all the recognition for the same reasons stated above.
its great that it’s a bit smaller than you’d like! whenever you decide to wash it/wetblock it superwash merino tends to grow ALOT compared to non superwash wools! it will most likely also give you a more relaxed fit. ALSO CONGRATS ON THE COLLAB THATS SO COOL
I really love this I've been wanting to do the exact thing with different scenes, desert, forest, ocean, meadow etc. I wouldn't worry too much about where the colors fall, it's a meadow, let the flowers grow where they may. But I don't know I haven't done it yet! Love love variegated yarn and part of the enjoyment for me is finding out how it's going to work out without too much planning! So fun❤ love your channel and your personality is so delightful I can't miss a video. I'm also binging all your old ones. So fun to watch your hairstyles change 😉
Soooo cute!!! i really loooove this idea! And the colors ❤❤❤ It's merinos wool, really breathable compared to acrylique yarn so maybe you should be able to wear it a little bit longuer. And because it's merinos wool, take the time to do a real bloquing with it, it really work to give a shape and keeping it! For the sleeves it will really make a difference but be carfull to place it correctly if you don't want two different sleeves.... Been there, done that... You know... 😅
Girl, same. Hate lavender, LOVE lilac. Grew up in Minnesota (northern US) with 2 lilac bushes outside bedroom windows. Spring was a dream. Then I decided I despise the cold and moved to Louisiana (southern US). Lilacs don't grow here!! :'( Granted, roses and gardenias grow like weeds, but I really miss that springtime lilac smell.
I'm curious as to why you don't use a smaller hook to make the ribbing. In knitting, I always use a need 2 sizes smaller and it works beautifully. Of course everyone has their preferred methods, but I would think using a smaller hook would be quicker than having to sew in elastic.
I know you’re not a ✨blue✨ girly but MICHELLE!!! That light blue on you is so pretty!! It compliments your hair and your eyes so nicely! I’m biased because blue is my favourite, but seriously, it’s such a good color on you! Have you looked into those Korean videos on finding your color pallet? It would be so fun if you found your colors and made a sweater out of your “perfect” color! Love yoooouuu ❤😊
I love how this came out! That yarn must have been a dream to crochet up. Also, you totally should make a graveyard/underground halloween sweater this year.
Absolutely stunning! I’ve never tried hand dyed yarn before bc I’ve always been intimidated, but watching your videos like this is definitely making me reconsider that. 💕 on another note, maybe Totoro is telling you it’s time that you make a project for her? 🤔
Hear me out. Halloween version. Top is blacks and greys specked with whits or yellow stars. Bottom is oranges and yellows with pops of spooky green and purple.
You said in your fist top down raglan sweater that the neck is too big for you and in the second vid you fixed it, could you show or explain how you made the neck smaller? I also made one and the neck is very big
Ribbing is the bane of my existence. It takes forever. I literally will drop a project if I’m following a tutorial or a pattern and I find out it starts with ribbing. Heck it. I don’t want that article of clothing that bad.
Finally someone that dislikes lavender 🪻 too, I feel like I'm your friend from now on !!! I loved the entire journey and I smiled every time you crochet in bed because that is what I do 😅

The curse of crochet is the minute you finish a project you immediately come up with another great idea! 😂❤

Have you considered giving them a decoy ball? Just a random yarn ball you aren't using for the project?
👍 for the graveyard sweater
please make Totoro a matching little sweater, the colours really suit her :)
I just went into The Creative Knitter yesterday. She was so nice and the store is great.

I’m in the Hates lavender club but my real nemesis is anything rose scented 😮
The colors are so beautiful. 😍 I would never have thought of use them together but it turned out so good! So lovely sweater!

Good morning 🌄 blessings 🌻, awesome 👍🏾
These colors are so pretty!! My cat also likes to lay on yarn 😂
Hear me out. Halloween version. Top is blacks and greys specked with whits or yellow stars. Bottom is oranges and yellows with pops of spooky green and purple.
Really pretty.
Have you ever thought of crocheting Totoro a sweater with extra yarn?? Or a blanket if she doesn’t like clothes.
Toto is the main character lol
please make the halloween sweater you described near the end. that would be amazing!
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻excellent 😊
You should match a sweater color story to Totoro - fur and her beautiful eyes!
Have you ever knitted a sweater for your kitty?
I haven’t, but i do have a project for her that i will be starting soon!
Honestly, honestly I think it needs more. I think embroidered flowers would make it better.
Love your cat my cat would do the same
You said in your fist top down raglan sweater that the neck is too big for you and in the second vid you fixed it, could you show or explain how you made the neck smaller? I also made one and the neck is very big
❤❤❤
40/10 ❤
I think that tutor is hitting you to make her sweater

👻🎃🖤
Was Totoro a stray before? I notice her lovely eartip
She was! She just randomly showed up one day and never left lol
Totoro, stop proving the cat stereotypes right!
Earlyyyyy🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Finally someone that dislikes lavender 🪻 too, I feel like I'm your friend from now on !!!
