YESSSSIRRRR!!!
As a former GFS driver in Canada I can say they are a fantastic company to work for. I’m not sure how much different things are run in the States but as a delivery driver in Canada I was making approximately 90k per year
My first cdl job was gfs and my training check was no lower than 1250 after deductions. I was running them cases tho
How soon after starting do you get benefits?
Short vid and got to the point, great content bro💪🏿
Got my start date coming up soon. This video helps out. Good stuff
That's what's up bro👊. I have my CDL's also and the money takes care of me. I had a question? I was wondering if your car is lowered or are you lowering it eventually? Thx and keep those 18 wheels rollin
Not lowered and I’m honestly back and forth with doing it. Woulda look hella clean but Miami has a lot of pot holes 😭 not trynna lose my bumper once a month 😂
@@SRTYatted lmao 😆 ya I feel ya on the pot holes and tearing your nice ride up. Thanks for reply and dope lookin car you have. Keep posting the videos💯👊
You got 2 licenses?
@@apimpnamedslickback9533 I have a class A license, which means I can drive a tractor trailer combination and Its also a class C and class B license all in one
@@caseylee0808 but is it one physical license sir?🙂 yes or no because last time i remember it was commercial drivers license 1 ID card🤣
Damn i dont even make that much and i been working there for years. I only bring about 850 a month and my nephew works at bugar king makikg more why i quit. Lol i guess the gfs by me sucks.
They provide relocation packages?
Just got my cdl LTL no touch freight 1400 lowest check
Never even step out of truck
The $1100 he said is just a base pay. I worked for GFS for years, they are a fantastic company. I worked Monday to Friday, home every night and made approximately 90k per year
Nah he meant training pay, and in Texas the training pay is $1250 minimum per week.
I have four years OTR experience but no reefer experience, will they still hire me and show me how to run a reefer? Is it a plus if I come in with experience?
Yes
In the interview stage do they hire you same day of the interview or do you still have to wait a couple days after for them to get back at you ?
Same day of the interview you know if you got the job. They’ll let you know the start date
@@SRTYatted thanks I got a interview tonight 💯
We miss you Dacolta!
Hope you’re doing well brother!
How long is training until they set you free on your own??
3 weeks usually
hey I'm just wondering about pricing for small business start up. where can I reference prices in research stages
How soon after working for GFS do you get medical insurance benefits? I’ve been wanting to get an MRI for years but don’t want to pay $1000s out of pocket
Day 1 benefits
I have my CDL but I haven’t drove in a semi in a while.. so my backing is not going to be that great.. does the trailer assist you in backing?
Na it doesn’t
@@SRTYatted I meant trainer 😂
@@bigboi3339 lmao thought you were talking about some new trailer that helps with backing 😂 usually if you’re in spot that you have to back they will help if you’re willing to try, which I recommend you do. The more you practice the better you get
@@SRTYatted okay thanks bro
I had a warehouse tour, is that a good sign
Actually bro today i had road test at gfs my road test is good but my backing is very bad there so can they hire me or no.
how much you get night incentive?
I just got on at GFS , is the 1100 true ?
Hourly pay is better because you can make a good paycheck by staying longer
Actually no it’s not. Working with GFS you get what’s called formula pay. It’s designed so the faster you work the more money you make. This way drivers aren’t hiding collecting hours and customers are getting their deliveries on time.
Here is how it works and I will use numbers that make for easy math. It’s sort like working on commission but not really
The drivers get a percentage of the load, number of deliveries, kilometres and a base pay of $100 just for showing up and starting the truck.
Add all that together and say it comes to $200. If you worked 10 hours your hourly pay for the say is $20. If you finished in 8 hours you made $25/hour for the day…..see, the quicker you work the more you make.
At the end of the week it’s averaged out to get your hourly rate. Yes your wage changes from week to week and sounds confusing but trust me it’s worth it and not confusing at all. I was working Monday to Friday, no weekends, and home every night making about 90k per year.
On top of that GFS is a fantastic company to work for
@Mike Mike oh I see.sysco tx pay hourly since I started
@Mike Mike what was your hourly average? . Sysco miami its 25.60. A the incentive pay is a joke here because the pay is way too low so people settle for hourly.
@@ozzie3056 I would always be around $34/hour. I’m in Canada and it’s run different than the US. GFS is an American company but here in Canada we get paid and treated better than those working for the same company in the US. Every piece of clothing I needed was also provided, except sock and underwear. Every 6 months I got a $200 check to buy work boots, if I spent $100 the rest was mine. I would call the office and order winter jackets, pants, shorts, T shirts, sweatshirts, gloves, hats, etc and they would send them with my trailer. These were provided by the company, no charge to me.
I have nothing but positive things to say about the company. Of course there were days the job could be frustrating but how well we were treated by the company makes the difficult days easy to get through.
@@ozzie3056are you working only 4 days?
I went to the interview and had the warehouse tour and everything but they said they will contact in two days so … will i get the job?
No idea my interview was webcam during COVID so it was different
Does that first week pay include orientation?
There isn’t really orientation, you jumó straight into training which includes watching safety videos in the office and hands on training on routes. That’s all 250 a day for that
@@SRTYatted cool thanks. I’m on day two of my training started on Friday with orientation did a day out on the road today and doing my computer stuff tomorrow, whatever follows from there, I’m not sure. Some of my stuff is out of order because I’m a special case… as per usual lol.

Whats the case per mile and per stop pay?

@@SRTYatted is there daily pay with that?
@@SRTYatted I work for coke in michigan ( all facility's are different) I get .27 cents per case and $173 daily base. Each year for 4 more years of this current contract we will go up 2 cents per case and $5 per day base
@@cmb9059thats sad asf a 5 dollar base pay increase is a horrible raise every 4 years, 😢a extra 5 bucks a day makes no difference

Are Gordon food service trucks Automatic or Manual?
It varies from location, the one I work has both but it is helpful to drive both in case your main tractor brakes down and the only spare is a manual.
Make an update.
Will do
Is it weekly or biweekly
Weekly
98% of CDL jobs are weekly pay
You get paid weekly?
Yessir
