Damn good money bro👍🏿 Ain't nobody else in the transportation industry paying that kinda money! Wish i would've gotten in as a feeder driver when they were hiring off the street during Covid😭

Great video as always, your smart and kind person, appreciate you making those videos. I started 3 weeks ago as preloaded and now I was called to get my driving training ! What would you recommend me ? I want to pass and become full time driver asap. It’s crazy some people were waiting longer than l was to be trained for driving. I was showing up early and working hard. Anyways thanks again.
Congratulations!! That’s called trusting the process and it looks like it paid off pretty fast for you. I’m happy to hear that. Are they sending you to Integrad?
@I'm thinking about slanging some packages during this peak season! Atlanta market is crowded to get on full time as driver I heard🤔 I'm 30 plus years Safe professional driver with all endorsements plus TSA certification & TWIC. Job market is tight out here at the moment for decent paying driver jobs. Damn sure not many if any paying $44.00 hr.
Do you need diploma for driving position? I haven’t needed one for any of my jobs including salary sales job at Pepsi. I’m in the UPS warehouse bow but I need to work my way into a truck immediately. Just don’t know if they’ll ask me for that diploma when I want to move up to a driving position. Shits nerve racking. That kind of pay for no college degree is crazy alone. Ive got a year of warehouse grinding ahead of me before I can even think about getting in a truck. Gonna have to suck it up and take it until I can move up.
How many stops do you do in an average day? I would guess around 200-250. Is that close? I have been doing SSD for a few peak seasons and generally do somewhere between 70 and 110 but there's a lot of down time with that (driving back and forth to the center to reload the vehicle, taking 40 minutes in the morning to sort the packages for my route, etc). I'm also finished in between 5 and 6 hours per day. Was thinking about maybe committing and trying to work my way into driving full time.
I'm not watching the video, at least right now. I worked at UPS and retired from feeders in 2018. I don't know if something changed in the last contract, but we were always told that we weren't to discuss or disclose our pay. Of course inside of UPS, all of your coworkers know your pay because if they're doing the same job as you and all have seniority, you make the same hourly pay, but that's inside. Anyway, you might want to check your employee handbook. Maybe it changed.
Depends on area and supplement. But yes they are basically the same Only differences are some mileage runs and if you pull a set. That is local drivers the sleeper team is a different story where they make more money since they are away more during the week I can't totally speak for that but i think they are mileage.. Also you have to have a good partner i have heard some stories living on the road with someone basically
pretty sure when you bid on a route and stop being a part time cover driver you get your first pay jump that is huge from $25.39 to $42 as far as i know@@alexbob5209
My experience. I made $344 weekly. But due to problems of so many lay offs due to seniority employments so my paychecks wouldn’t be the same. But it’s my experience so everyone’s are different
Setting yourself up for success with that 401k and UPS stock setup coming out weekly. Seen so many drivers who don't put anything away for their entire career, big mistake. Good for you.
You had mentioned you didn't finish high-school. I didn't either and I'm wondering if ups requires it? Did you have to get a ged or anything? Some people say to make up a high-school on the application but I don't want to ruin my chances either. Can you please tell me what you did and what I should do. Thank you for your time and great video!
How much did they pay now a days for beginners e.g you are getting pay higher because of your experience and time spend in that company but how much did they pay for new comers
@ivankfermin your local needs to fix your vacation checks. New england gets the 52 week average rate for our vaca checks. They should have done it last month

It all depends the route you are on, I do about 100-130 stops and 15 pick ups . I’m also doing one of the farthest routes from our building!
