Que show! Que festival! New Order e Arcade Fire tocando ao mesmo tempo (escolher um foi cruel). Melhor Lollapalooza de todos. O Brasil caminhava pro 7a 1 e todo o inferno que veio depois. Mas a música sempre nos salva.
New Order remain polished and great! Bernie's vocals are real, with no artificial effects. I love that about New Order! If you don't like it live and real... Listen to the albums instead.
I saw them in Berkeley this past April, they were tighter than they were in this performance. However, as everyone seems to be saying, it's just not the same as it was with Peter Hook. Bernard was pop from the word go, which is fine. Peter brought that punky edginess that made New Order stand out, and without him, there's not much emotion to their performances. There's plenty of that with Peter Hook and The Light today, but then you're missing Bernard's tenor voice with the New Order songs. I do sincerely hope fences are mended in time, because in the end, the music is what matters.
this song brings out this unexplainable emotion in me unlike ive ever felt, this song takes me to a long stretch of highway along the pacific ocean with the bright sun and the foot to the floor not caring about anything except that very moment
@@mpreiss7780 he used to play with a hollow body les Paul I believe (you can see it better in a ceremony recording in Celebration 1981, and an age of consent recording from 1983 I believe, he and hooky used the same kind of bass/guitar combo in that last one) but he played a bunch of guitars, I think he also played an SG in NYC 1981, but the footage is dark so it’s hard to tell, and he used Ian’s Vox for that one as well, I’ll link the concerts in a bit) Ian’s vox in 1981: ua-cam.com/video/WcZrTQr-F7U/v-deo.html Hollow body for Ceremony 1981 (Celebration 1981 concert): ua-cam.com/video/th8A8m7_b1g/v-deo.html Hooky/Barney guitar combo age of consent ua-cam.com/video/cYx8yW3POcg/v-deo.html
Bernie: “We might need a drum machine for this song.”
Stephen: “Oh yeah?? Hold my beer!”
Stephen is what drum machines wish they could be!! ✊
just hearing the intro and seeing this live so many years later gave me instant goosebumps
One of my all time favorite bass intros!
0:45 Even with Hooky gone, Barney is still demanding Chapman to turn the bass down🤣

Erik Leiken
Erik Leiken Agreed.
Eu estava láaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
obrigado = thank you (in Portuguese)
Voy a llorar , magnifico
Barnie could have put the effort in here really.....
Great except Peter Hook is missing and you just can feel it
Você tem as outras músicas também??? Já vou guardar esse show na memória pra sempre, mas quero ter isso materializado também!!
brand new
Not the same without PETER. Glad I got to see the Original Band back in the 80s.
All time great song but there are far better versions for sure.
Bernard is winging it on the vocals. The synth chords are too low.
i was in Maracanazinho, in october '88.... do you remember???
Honestly without Hooky on the bass they have lost power
GiulioFingerboard Jesús christ why is the bassist playing SO SLOW and lame??? Hooky is miles better
Agree
The official death of New Order. This bassist sucks.
True dat
Você gravou todo o show do New Order? Gostaria de comprar.
God they’re dragging it so baddddd
where is Peter Hook ???? lol
+Olivier Calmel He quit the band around 2007 and basically told the press, "New Order is done" but the others didn't agree with him.
+RastaSaiyaman fuck Hooky, long live New Order
+hahartley100 Booooo!!! :-)
+graemereaper They sound like a caricature of themselves now, it's pathetic.
+Erik Leiken Agree 100%!
Pqp, quem não gostou? Tão de brincation.
Bass...
what does this song mean to you.

It reminds me of my mother and I driving into the city, worrying about different aspects of life.
Partying
I love and adore New Order but they are not the same band without Peter Hook, he was the JD and NO sound, sorry :/
Impressionante como desde 1983 eles tocam essa música errada. Nunca vi uma versão ao vivo realmente boa.

Thank me later
put in 1.25 speed, you are welcome
Definitely a great way to make Stephen sound like he was in his 20s again 😂
Wtf the bass timing is off
I hate Gibson SGs but Bernie makes them great
He used to play with a hollow body SG? or was a Gibson?

Geir Offenberg...u get up over there & sing it better than!--sheesh! Get a life instead of knocking down great here!
without Hooky, there's no Order!!!! What a disgusting thing!!!! Go home, barney!!! forget the money!!!! FOREVER IAN!!!!
The music sounds a lot better but the vocals sound worse.
