Lessons to be learned here, four minutes of madness cost fourty three years. Great interview, thank you both. Keep up the good work Dodge💜🙏
@@i_ampresent It was definitely an eye-opener thats for sure
@@zuu6023 just a bit
You forgot to mention someone's life as well 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
Dodge mate, unreal. The questions you ask, the people you get on, the way you get them to elaborate on their stories, bring out emotion. Class
This man escaped prison/ breached his licence a few times to be with a dying relative and ending up serving over double his original sentance, id been in winson green for 24 months and still had 42 months left in jail when i found out my father was dying, i thought about escaping every single day, i was a mess, i just thank god i met my wife and had kids after my jail time, dont wory about jail being physical its the mental game that will get you
But if you hadn’t done the crime in the first place you wouldn’t be in that position, same as the guy on the pod, sorry to hear about your dad
@Home.Barissta yeah your right but were not all perfect, good people can make bad decisions, this was 20 years ago anyway I've grown alot since then, and thank you 👍

Dodge , you have a unique way of bringing Out , your Podcast guests, Skeletons running away from the Cupboards! 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
What a great listen. I had the pleasure of meeting John in the early nineties at HMP Wandsworth. A larger than life character who brought a bit of light in a dark place.
These old school men are way more interesting to listen to, Dodge, I hate to make a request but if it’s possible you must get John Hilton on if possible. He’s only done one pod (SA) he’s about 94 now and knew every face imaginable and served 2 life sentences (separately) hard to believe he still exists really. Thanks, lee in Vietnam..
Looks like a fantastic interview, will listen at work tomorrow
It’s an eye opener for sure 😳
Yeah Listening to podcasts at work rocks 👍
Another great interview, thank you both 👍👍
The one was definitely up there for me👊

Thank you Dodge and John, great episode, look forward to reading your book. Sorry for your loss of a child in Spain John, very sad indeed.
Great podcast dodge
Excellent autobiography.
Johns as legit as they come. Loved the interview. Thanks.
In answer to his question, he absolutely isn’t the worst of the people who’ve killed, let alone worse than all the criminals in or out in Britain.
I work with some of the most violent ex offenders and he seems genuine, he accepts responsibility not just because of the extra 23yrs but through heart.
Unlike the nonces that get 3yrs or less for ruining every child’s life they’ve ever come into contact with, most of those kids end up in prison or the mental health system due to trauma. In my opinion they are the ones that should never get out or a life sentence for every child they abused. Just like the children who never recover.
VP wings are the easiest in any prison. That’s a direct quote from those monsters. I’m lucky I rarely cross paths with them.
John you were done over and my heart goes out to you. 🤗
Top class yet again…
"I had my baby, Terry, in Spain named after my brother" dodge- "what was your brothers name?" 🤣

Brilliant podcast Dodge.......again! Very interesting life story! I hope Mr.Massey can enjoy his freedom and rebuild his life. Certainly been put through the mill by the prison authorities! God Bless Him .
Think I’ll be buying his book. I bet he’s loads of stories to tell- one of those guys you know aren’t bigging his tales up👌
Biggest lesson to be learned here is, if you want to be a real criminal stay off drugs and booze! Like all the Italians men of honour do.
Dodge absolute quality
Brilliant 👍
Great podcast
I thought he was eloquent and 100% honest. I have known John and his family for years. A gentleman and genuine legend. JB.
Hoxton N1 in the flats, John was a good friend of my old man
Proper old school brilliant listen brilliant podcast mate proper nice fella John proper gentleman would make a brilliant film brilliant listen
Fantastic interview 👌👍 And about time someone in the know talked honestly about Bronson's narcissistic bollox, and the acolytes who he has fooled into believe him, the last grift being the " long lost son " demanding a public parole hearing. 🤔 I wish Mr Massy all the best in the next chapter of this thing we call life. 🙏🙏
Loving John story
Again drink every man’s downfall if you can’t control it one night of madness ends in a lifetime of hell. Brilliant podcast dodge ❤
Hope you are on commission for the books Dodge 😂 I have bought soo many!! Another one ordered!!

Tremendous podcast

Great podcast dodge more of these please would love to know who his partner was
Great interview 👍
Old school con - Knows the score too
I will say this John after 43 years in Jail and the violence you received from the Thugs posing as Prison Officers all debts for your past are Paid in Full and you don't strike me as a bad person any way but woe betide any man that crosses you're friends family or loved ones, Lifes getting short for both me an you John and the Past is a country you can never revisit,so good luck John and make the most of your future................Great Interview Dodge and at times tough for both of you.
Class act as a man.
What is sad is the fact he has so much time on his hands that he has all the time in the world to tell a story!! This isn't meant to be an issue but an observation as is never someone else's fault
Hope your pal is good they are feeling and far between..if he is still your pal after all this time the man is proper salt to say the least
Hope youre ok John. All the best mate
Respect 🫡 you sir
Interesting character. Not sure I agree with the argument relating to the severity of his sentence, and his belief "I'm not as bad as some people" angle. If you don’t want to do the time, don’t do the crime.
An interesting interview. Im always fascinated how these people end up as heroes, or revered for what they've done with things downplayed to a "You've lived a life, you little rascal haven't you?!" Is it because they're all ancient now and because they look like someone's Grandad? Does that take the edge off what they've done in their younger days to make it more palletable?
Good, interesting, thought provoking interview.
lot of podcasts getting boring now. Your still pulling out good guests nice one dodge get Paul Allen from securitas on 👍
Much appreciated Ben 👍🏼👍🏼

Kind words mate 🇬🇧🙏
What an amazing story of johns life.Related in the most simple of terms no glamour. The regret that door man shouldn’t have fallen onto him, there was no intent to kill anyone in that club.
As for the Prison system he beat it in my opinion he wasn’t broken .
Live the remainder of your life happy and in good health John .
I thought it was footballer Rio Ferdinand
Fourty three years inside? What a sad waste of all those years.
Most enjoyable 1 too date dodge, watched him on j English, enjoyed that too, great bloke, just unlucky on a stupid decision when young !

Not that honest if he's been in prison.
Your spouting bullshit
I think i prefer people who have done good things rather than listening to scumbags.

Probably a few cash in transit guards out there still sufferong from PTSD lets not forget them shall we !!!!!! Could of always got a real job like the rest of us had to .
Times were different then. People had to earn a living and being on the pavement was just another way to survive
what a F story .. only an hour in
This guy justifies stuff to himself by saying there's worse people very narcissistic attitude I bet he was a nitemare when he was younger and probs deserved the time spent due to his behaviour.
Your a diamond doge
This fella drunk or on drugs during this interview? Struggling to figure it out 🤔
In an other podcast he said he’s had a stroke
What a lovely man
