About Drum Beats Online:
Drum Beats Online is a website that helps you become a better drummer. The website is full of drum lessons, performance tracks (drumless play along songs,) merchandise, and more! I'm constantly striving to make Drum Beats Online not only an educational place for drummers, but also a fun place for drummers to grow and stretch themselves. I'd highly encourage you to check out the website, I really think you'll like what you see!
Which metal beat was your favorite? Let me know! Also, get FREE Drum Lessons here: bit.ly/free-dbo-lessons
The gallop is the begginer hardcore beat
7:11
1 beat and the beat in the intro
The last one is the best, i need to learn that one
Blast beat, was amazing!
No 300 BPM blast beat? 🤔
Just pull out a minigun, and shoot it at the ceiling. It will be great!
That’s just drum abuse. I’m calling drum protective services.
300 and double time, good luck
Once I realized they were cranking thier drum heads and using triggers. I was like oh.... that's a fork in the road. It's a style choice.
I recommend Blood Kingdom by Worm Sheperd
I just got my first drum set and I am self taught so your videos have helped a ton! Thank you!
That blast is the hammer blast
Traditional is the easiest way to to start blsting imho
Good to know for sure! Thanks for sharing!
Id like to see a lesson on ways to develop your metal chops, metal as you know is alot about chops and foot speed so I think it would be cool to see that
I call it bomb blast
@@TheBonegames Bomb Blast is a traditional blast (aka machine gun blast) but with a bass drum on every count. Kick, kick+snare, kick, kick+snare. Hammer Blast is snare and bass drum on every count, like here.
It's only a real hammer blast if you're only using one foot, ala Kolias. Alternating kicks in a hammer or bomb blast is straight cheating.
Gabes just gonna add more adjectives before friends every week. By 2019 we’ll be Gabes “fantastic awesome super cool musical talented beautiful friends”
Hahahahaha this is my favorite.
I am okay with this lmao
That last beat was insane dude. I will not stop until I have it down 😣 Thank you for your effort 🤙🏼
i dont have double kick pedals but when playing the the beats it sounded good. You are one of the best online teachers ive ever watched your videos are so helpful thank you
Beat #1 (Gallop): 0:30
Beat #2 (Blast Beat): 3:23
Beat # 3 (Offbeat Snare): 5:22
Beat #1: boot-camp-booty-camp-boot-camp-booty-camp.....
Perfect!
That was from a Stevie t video right Tyler Bailey
Rustinhimer 04 yes
Tyler Bailey Boot titty cats🙃
Booty camp pshhh! LOL
The 100 bpm was my fav! Felt like a lot of doors just opened up on it. Of course, I've always got drum something, in my head! Great job, thanks for sharing!
Iv'e seen blast beat tut's but I am glad I finally found what you coined "The Gallop"
Just a little tip. The”gallop” is actually the “thrash” beat, and the hi hat should be double the speed of the snare, not the same. The technique in the vid will get you rejected from speed metal and thrash bands. This is a good start, but you need that hi hat speed or it’s just lazy.
The traditional blast beat is far more versatile, and a little easier than this one. The traditional alternates snare and ride so it can sound much faster if you prefer, And because you’re already in position, it is far easier to transition into fills. Also the bass drum hits on either every snare, or every snare and ride hit, if your feet are fast enough.
No the hi hat should not necessary be double the speed of the snare. There is no rules in music, but anyway, listen to that song ua-cam.com/video/pXVJzOmFOqo/v-deo.html . The beat here is the exact same as showed in the video :) .
I would maybe throw in a herta on the bass on that last groove on the 16th notes of certain 4’s mostly, maybe sometimes even 3 & 4 would be cool.
Idk if that’s “metal” enough, but the groove just popped into my head as you played.
Brother, you're an amazing drummer!
Thank you for the kind words!
Big big big thank you, because I was searching for 20 minutes the first pattern on UA-cam.
Perfect, thank you.
The way you explain what each of your limbs is doing is very helpful.
Never forgetting this channel and DBO being a huge part of my journey
Great job! Enjoyed all but my favorite was the last one.
Gallop, for sure. Third beat is rich & sweet but not as much a ‘metal’ trademark. Thanks, Gabe! 🙌🏼
The gallop(aka the skank or thrash or slayer beat) is my fav😎🤘🏻
I hear that!
I think it sounds great and is super fun to play
I really like that last beat!
That amazing. You are great brooo.
I didn't know you could blast
I only do it in secret!
Gabe lol
@@DrumBeatsOnline lol
@@DrumBeatsOnline are you still with IPrevail?
That snare sounds awesome!
Literally just clicked your link and now I'm subscribed. Love the way you teach. Brief explanation and straight into it!
Heck yes Richard! Welcome to the party!
Dang! The 3rd one was my favorite. I'm 45 and trying to start playing. Thanks for the video! It's a little daunting lol
Big lesson!!!
Greetings from São Paulo - Brazil!!!🥁🇧🇷

Cool video I liked the way it was filmed and the angles for ease of understanding. Like I always say, blast first

Your kick drum set up sounds sooo good 🤤. What kind of pedals is he using?
Hey man I love your videos I was just wondering are you self taught or did you take lessons?
Daaaaaamn, you’re good!! Great video
Thanks friend!
I really like this video time to practice
That's what I like to hear!
Well. I understand. And how is way of construction? Various plies, stave or one solid ply? Anothers drums like yours are George H. Way too. Few weeks ago, I saw in youtube a comparison between a DW collector vs an ayotte. Definitely, the ayotte sound better ! Congratulations ! Thank you for answering and cheers from Formosa Argentina !
Very very cool.
Thanks Josh!
Just got my set today! Get content!
Idk why I always love playing the last beat
It's a fun one for sure!
Damn dude you're the best online teacher
Wow what a compliment! Thanks so much for the kind words!
Nice!
Thanks David!
that's cool dude
Glad you liked it!
The blast beats
your set up sounds amazing! What is your cymbal set up in this video?
Thanks so much! (All Meinl)
15” pure alloy hats
18” dual crash
22” pure alloy ride
20” extra thin hammered crash
20” traditional China
This dude is a fire drummer holy shirt
Thanks so much! 😇👕
Drum Beats Online thanks for the sick lessons
George H. Way is another drums like yours !
Sweet lesson! I've seen many drummers doing insanely fast blast beasts solely using their fingers and no wrist at all but I struggle doing that. Do you have any lessons on finger technique as well?
And btw what happened with the falcon double pedal? I'm just thinking about getting one so I'm curious why you're not using it (anymore)?
Thanks man!
Using your fingers definitely helps big time! I'll be working on a technique course soon!
My falcon actually broke, I've been digging the iron cobra a lot though! I'm pretty sure I like it more. And they are the same price.
Thanks for the response! Oops big time downer... Damnit just got mine but actually really like it so far. What broke on yours?
Looking forward to the technique lesson. My left hand struggles so much using only fingers....
Nice Video Gape👌
Thank you!
Hi. It´s a pretty drum kit ! I like so much how looks and its sound ! The wood rings are very nice ! Like kick rings. So bautiful ! Your drum kit seems craviotto drums for example. What kind of wood is made with? Thank you for answer and cheers from Formosa Argentina !
So glad you like the kit! To be honest I have no idea what type of wood it's made with, I bought it used years ago! I would assume maple, but I'm not sure.
5:12 next level blastbeat after this - Mike Smith
the beats don't sound right until at lesat 100 bpm or higher
My friend recently got a drum kit and I’ve been trying to figure out any simple beats but damn drums are HARD people make it look so easy ITS NOT
Here I am at 4am.
Can that last beat be considered a polymetric rhythm since the snare is offset to the other elements?
Awesome! More Metal lessons!! What cymbals is ut, i know that you are sponserd by Meinl. But what Meinl cymbals is it? 😊
You got it Martin!
15" Pure alloy Hats
18" dual crash
22" pure alloy ride
20" extra thin hammered crash
20" china
@@DrumBeatsOnline awesome! I dont really like the dry cymbals, but this sound Nice! What china is it? I think it sounds amazing!
The first one Is the lars ulrich beat !
Hi ! I write you from Formosa Argentina. It`s a city near Paraguay. All are very cool metal beats. But I like more the third one. A question, what drum kit is yours? Thank you for shearing and cheers from Formosa Argentina !
Hey! I have an Ayotte drum kit with a Ludwig supraphonic snare.
Playing ona eletric drum pad rn but im getting a real set when i get back in school😅
Thx man! Learned something new today! I like the last beat the most 🔥
That’s what I like to hear! That’s always fun!
Last drum beat is literally every Nu Metal song
I also play blast beats with alternating hands
How to you get your mix to sound so sweet? You gotta make a vid on that
I'l be making full courses on it on the website!
Metal beats and syncopation?! Sign me up!
Heck yes!
2:22 sounds like the drum track on blackened by metallica.
you are way to friendly to be playing that brutally lol awesome video
I THINK THE FIRST ONE WAS NICE
Glad you liked it!
Lars on and justice at 2:23
1:40 That's like a 2000s emo beat
Im only able to play the last beat at current ability. I also don't have double kick
Which drum pedal you are using?
Iron Cobras
Third beat: Down With The Sickness
Hi Gabe
Me whom just purchased his first electric drum kit ever today: I have a long way to go.
Has the last beat a special name ?
Hey , can you do a solo tutorial
Thats a great idea!
My main question is what brand of drums I should buy for metal or what kind of drums, I have looked every where and my question remains unanswered
6:09 - phat voice crack
😍
What ride cymbal are you using?
22" meinl pure alloy
@@DrumBeatsOnline thanks!
At 200 bpm it sounded like the rudiment lesson 25
Blast!!!!!!!!!Bbbbbbeats!!!! Hello from Texas!!!!
Hahaha!
What cymbals are you using
(All Meinl)
15” pure alloy hats
18” dual crash
22” pure alloy ride
20” extra thin hammered crash
20” traditional China
Is there a name for the last beat?
I was jamming to beat 1 60 BPM easy, then I heard 130 and my body just spazed out trying to play it 💀
Literally cannot stand when drummers have that pedal for the bass drum. I’ve watched children make super fast beats without it
Im getting mastet of puppets vibes from that last one
7:11 I heard that beat from somewhere?
Reminds me of Pain Killer by Scott Travis / Judas Priest
I don't know... Did you?
It's kinda similar to Swarm by Meshuggah at 3:22
Low by Wage War
Sounds similar to move along by the all american rejects
i try to learn all your beats/fills. but i usually cant 😂
You can do it! Just take it nice and slow!
Drum Beats Online do you have any tips, when i do blast beats my hands end up playing 32nd notes
What snare is he using?
14 x 8 offbeat drum co copper snare
